:01:16. > :01:19.The marchers arrived in the region yesterday,

:01:20. > :01:22.their avowed aim to stop wh`t they see as the privatisation of the NHS

:01:23. > :01:29.They left Nottingham this morning on their way to Loughborough.

:01:30. > :01:32.They're against private companies operating within the NHS

:01:42. > :01:47.Our health Correspondent Rob Sissons examines the question of

:01:48. > :01:52.whether we really have a National Health Service at `ll.

:01:53. > :01:55.Even getting up stairs can be a struggle.

:01:56. > :01:58.Ian's surgeon recommended a hip arthroscopy,

:01:59. > :02:03.that a keyhole operation but locally the NHS won't fund it for hhm.

:02:04. > :02:06.They would go in and tidy up the torn labrum,

:02:07. > :02:14.which is the coating over the bone, which is torn in my case.

:02:18. > :02:19.The NHS said they won't pay because he has an impingement

:02:20. > :02:24.I just want it fixed at the end of the day.

:02:25. > :02:29.I don't agree that because H've got an impingement in my hip th`t I m

:02:30. > :02:37.But in some other parts of Dngland that isn't a barrier.

:02:38. > :02:42.I pay my National Insurance at the end of every month.

:02:43. > :02:44.He knows from Facebook it c`n be a different story.

:02:45. > :02:46.Jenna's in Greater Manchester where patients

:02:47. > :03:08.wouldn't want to be sat in ` car for a couple of hours because it

:03:09. > :03:17.It seems tied up in a load of over`bureaucratised nonsdnse and

:03:18. > :03:20.policy which is basically preventing Ian from having the operation.

:03:21. > :03:23.It's not fair that just bec`use you live in a certain area you should

:03:24. > :03:39.This case raises some big qtestions about the nature

:03:40. > :03:51.It does. We were hoping for more enters tonight. We contacted the

:03:52. > :03:54.Department of Health and thdy told us it is down to local clinhcians to

:03:55. > :04:09.make decisions about spending. As for the Nottingham city clinical

:04:10. > :04:13.commissioning group, they s`id no one was available to do an hnterview

:04:14. > :04:14.tonight. They did a bus a written statement.

:04:15. > :04:16.And how does it explain the situation?

:04:17. > :04:30.This statement says they ard unable to comment publicly. And th`t they

:04:31. > :04:36.have a finite budget for Nottingham. They have to judge the needs of the

:04:37. > :04:39.whole population of the citx. They are following local policy to make

:04:40. > :04:45.sure there is equity across the region.

:04:46. > :04:51.There is a glimmer of hope. They said they will review the policy and

:04:52. > :04:55.look at any new evidence th`t is available.

:04:56. > :05:02.So where does this all leavd Ian then?

:05:03. > :05:10.They think there may be a hhp replacement but he thinks that is to

:05:11. > :05:12.drastic. He has contacted hhs MP and says he will fight on.

:05:13. > :05:14.It's Sarah and Maurice with you this Friday.

:05:15. > :05:17.Still lots to come between now and 7.00pm, including the htge

:05:18. > :05:22.Esteban Cambiosso says he's thrilled at the prospect of joining

:05:23. > :05:39.I hope he has signed up to the British weather. There are signs of

:05:40. > :05:49.some summary whether on the way It should make him feel more at home.

:05:50. > :05:52.Next tonight, the hunt for 12 inmates who are on the run

:05:53. > :05:54.from an East Midlands prison, some for more than 20 years.

:05:55. > :05:57.Derbyshire police admit that all of their efforts to trace them have

:05:58. > :06:00.So they're asking for help from the public.

:06:01. > :06:16.They are the dirty dozen. 12 inmates who either fled or failed to return

:06:17. > :06:21.to prison. That was between 199 and 2006. It was a time when thd

:06:22. > :06:27.authorities didn't issue public appeals to help them trace people.

:06:28. > :06:34.Among them this man. Last sden in 1997. He was convicted of mtrder at

:06:35. > :06:40.Leicester Crown Court in 1977. The police say they haven't givdn up

:06:41. > :06:44.hope of tracing all 12 men. We appreciate their appearances will

:06:45. > :06:48.have changed. It is whether somebody out there has an idea of whdre they

:06:49. > :06:52.might be. We have concentrated on some of the contacts we knew they

:06:53. > :06:59.had at the time they will h`ve new contacts now. The government says

:07:00. > :07:04.open resins are vital to rehabilitating long`term offenders

:07:05. > :07:10.and that the national rate far outstanding inmates has reached a

:07:11. > :07:13.record low. A further 13 inlates since 2007 are outstanding. That

:07:14. > :07:18.brings the jail 's missing total to 25. Derbyshire police says the

:07:19. > :07:22.security of this prison and the inmates which are brought hdre is

:07:23. > :07:28.purely a matter for the Minhstry of Justice. But that the force will do

:07:29. > :07:35.all it can to recapture those who have gone on the run from hdre.

:07:36. > :07:37.A woman from Leicester says she s concerned hundreds of NHS p`tients

:07:38. > :07:41.are facing dangerous delays to deliveries of their medicathon.

:07:42. > :07:48.She's treated at the city's Royal Infirmary but her prescription

:07:49. > :07:55.She says her medication oftdn arrives late and she fears

:07:56. > :07:59.Healthcare at Home has apologised and says it's working

:08:00. > :08:06.I'm really worried because you're not supposed to get

:08:07. > :08:10.stressed or over tired because that can trigger a relapse.

:08:11. > :08:14.The fact that I have all thhs stress and anxiety about getting mx meds,

:08:15. > :08:18.And the fact that I've run out of my medication on several

:08:19. > :08:21.occasions due to the companx's ineptitude, I think is a disgrace.

:08:22. > :08:29.A busy road junction will bd closed from tonight and over

:08:30. > :08:32.the weekend because of work to extend the Nottingham tram network.

:08:33. > :08:35.The junction where Queen's Road East meets University Boulevard will shut

:08:36. > :08:39.It's due to open again on Monday morning.

:08:40. > :08:56.Drivers are advised to allow more time and find alternative routes.

:08:57. > :08:59.All this week we've been commemorating the centenary of the

:09:00. > :09:02.start of the Great War with live broadcasts from France and Belgium.

:09:03. > :09:05.Today we round off the coverage with a remarkable story of six

:09:06. > :09:09.Astonishingly all of them rdturned home safely to Radcliffe on Trent

:09:10. > :09:12.The son of one of those soldiers is Bob Flowers, who's been resdarching

:09:13. > :09:15.his family's history and told me what he discovered.

:09:16. > :09:19.Well, this is where my grandfather and grandmother lived

:09:20. > :09:25.As you can see, it's not very big but it was big enough, obviously.

:09:26. > :09:30.All six boys were eligible `nd of the age to go in the

:09:31. > :09:35.This is George, he was in the Grenadier Guards.

:09:36. > :09:41.This is William in the Sherwood Foresters.

:09:42. > :09:43.He was the next and, of course, Sherwood Foresters is

:09:44. > :09:49.He was in the machine gun corps and he was in Turkey.

:09:50. > :09:55.He was in India and he was hn the King's Own Yorkshire Light Hnfantry.

:09:56. > :10:05.Harold was a Regular and he was in the Lincolnshire Regiment.

:10:06. > :10:07.And, as you can see, he was a colour sergeant.

:10:08. > :10:10.It must've been tough times for your grandmother, waiting for news?

:10:11. > :10:17.There were pretty well used to hardship.

:10:18. > :10:21.Can you imagine living here and waiting for them to comd home?

:10:22. > :10:27.It doesn't seem like 100 ye`rs ago, but it's amazing isn't it?

:10:28. > :10:34.This is St Mary's Church and this is the Cenotaph, of course.

:10:35. > :10:36.Obviously on here, there are the names of many men from

:10:37. > :10:44.Fortunately, my dad and his brothers aren't recorded there because they

:10:45. > :10:50.The chances of that happening were very remote.

:10:51. > :10:53.You would've thought ` although two of them are quhte badly

:10:54. > :10:58.wounded ` but you would've thought that we would have lost one or two

:10:59. > :11:04.It's quite poignant when you think about it.

:11:05. > :11:10.When you see the names and you think, well, we werd lucky.

:11:11. > :11:15.Talk me through the remembrance parade.

:11:16. > :11:20.Well, since 1948 I've never missed a remembrance service paradd

:11:21. > :11:27.It stretched right through the village as far as you c`n see

:11:28. > :11:31.and it was all the men of the First World War and then, subsequdntly,

:11:32. > :11:42.The parade has gradually got less and less because the gtys

:11:43. > :11:49.How interesting has it been for you to research your falily

:11:50. > :11:55.The more you learn about thd First World War the sadder xou get.

:11:56. > :11:59.The trenches, the disease and the hardships.

:12:00. > :12:01.Blokes really wanted to put it behind them.

:12:02. > :12:03.They wanted to forget it because it was so horrible they

:12:04. > :12:08.You can imagine what it was like when they came home

:12:09. > :12:13.and all six of them managed to get through the war and come hole.

:12:14. > :12:15.They've got to pull themselves together and get

:12:16. > :12:19.on with what they've got to do and that's precisely what they did.

:12:20. > :12:23.They all re`established lifd and it was super.

:12:24. > :12:37.It is heartening that they survived. So

:12:38. > :12:40.Thank you, Bob, for sharing such a fascinating story.

:12:41. > :12:44.And thanks to all of you for the kind comments you've made about

:12:45. > :12:47.our special coverage via em`il and our Facebook page and on Twhtter.

:12:48. > :12:50.If you want to see some of the footage from these reports `gain,

:12:51. > :12:57.If you take a look there yot'll see some of the images from the week

:12:58. > :13:09.and also something special that s coming at the end of the programme.

:13:10. > :13:15.unusual lest Disher police `re saying they are increasinglx

:13:16. > :13:21.concerned about a girl who has gone missing. She was last seen hn

:13:22. > :13:23.Leicester around 6:30pm in the evening last Friday. She was

:14:04. > :14:06.Olympic rower, Sir Matthew Pinsent, who used to work as a volunteer

:14:07. > :14:09.at Chatsworth as a teenager. James Roberson spoke to him

:14:10. > :14:31.today while he took a look `round. For more than 30 years the dvent has

:14:40. > :14:47.here as a volunteer in the 0980s. I was a volunteer here as a tdenager.

:14:48. > :14:52.I was involved in setting up. It was great fun and it's wonderful to come

:14:53. > :14:58.back. From nights of your two nights of now. The Army 's white hdlmet

:15:27. > :15:29.the First World War. The grdat thing about this show is there is so much

:15:30. > :15:37.here where you can have a go yourself.

:15:38. > :15:46.There are activities and displays at doors and indoors. It is a little

:15:47. > :15:54.grey today you hoping the good weather? It's always good wdather

:15:55. > :16:03.here. It will be too hard, ht will be perfect. The Duchess tridd by the

:16:04. > :16:05.size but didn't try any stunts. And following the great War thele, the

:16:06. > :16:17.parachutists came in in style. I'm heading up there tomorrow and

:16:18. > :16:33.I'm very excited. First,

:16:34. > :16:34.it's taken weeks of negotiations, but finally Esteban Cambiasso is

:16:35. > :16:36.a Leicester City player. The Argentinian internation`l is

:16:37. > :16:38.a genuine world superstar. He's played for Real Madrid

:16:39. > :16:55.and Inter Milan and is potentially We were the only TV camera here at

:16:56. > :17:13.training this morning. Leicdster City have pulled off a real coup.

:17:14. > :17:20.For them the first option... Pharma legend is now 34 years old.

:17:21. > :17:39.He has joined on a free transfer as part of a 12 month deal. In my

:17:40. > :17:46.country, I think for my futtre for all I need to play in the Premier

:17:47. > :17:54.League. We were always confhdent that once we got him over hdre that

:17:55. > :18:03.we could make it happen. He has been as big a driving force as wd have.

:18:04. > :18:08.To be at the training ground this morning and to see the excitement

:18:09. > :18:18.from the players... And othdr fans to. They were selling shirts very

:18:19. > :18:27.fast. He is an international star. Class. Everybody have spoken to is

:18:28. > :18:38.looking forward to Sunday. Ht's good to be a brilliant day. He is a very

:18:39. > :18:45.good, intelligent player. It will be a big challenge for us. He's one of

:18:46. > :18:48.the most decorated players from Argentina. It is hoped he whll make

:18:49. > :18:52.his Leicester City debut on Sunday. Looks like more signings

:18:53. > :18:55.on the way at Leicester. QPR today said they'd accepted a bid

:18:56. > :19:00.from the Foxes for Danny Silpson. Nottingham Forest manager

:19:01. > :19:03.Stuart Pearce says it's unlhkely he'll be making any more signings

:19:04. > :19:06.before the transfer window closes. But you can't argue with wh`t he

:19:07. > :19:10.and his current squad are doing Pearce takes them to

:19:11. > :19:12.Sheffield Wednesday tomorrow sitting When a new manager arrives ht's

:19:13. > :19:21.often said he needs time to They've really hit the ground

:19:22. > :19:29.running this season and as far as results go, the Stuart Pearce reign

:19:30. > :19:35.has had an almost perfect start Unbeaten in six,

:19:36. > :19:39.with five wins and a draw. They've kept four clean shedts

:19:40. > :19:43.and are the league's top scorers with ten

:19:44. > :19:47.goals so far in the Championship. The character of the squad,

:19:48. > :19:53.I've been very pleased with, At times we have been second best,

:19:54. > :20:00.but I really get the impression we Pearce is clearly relishing

:20:01. > :20:04.the challenge at Forest, In his own words, this is more than

:20:05. > :20:10.just a job to him and he sh`res I know the fans are desperate

:20:11. > :20:16.for us to deliver success. That's an easy,

:20:17. > :20:20.throwaway line because everx club in the country has got an epual set

:20:21. > :20:24.of fans that want exactly the same. It certainly does excite me to be

:20:25. > :20:27.working at this football cltb. A good start for the new gaffer

:20:28. > :20:29.then, but tomorrow he faces a big test

:20:30. > :20:32.against a team who have had their It will without doubt be

:20:33. > :20:39.our toughest test of the se`son and if we're not up for the game we

:20:40. > :20:43.will get beaten at Sheffield. We're top of the league

:20:44. > :20:45.at moment this moment in tile. That is the challenge

:20:46. > :20:48.for the players. Can we stay there come Saturday

:20:49. > :20:50.night? But, it's a long season

:20:51. > :20:53.and you've got to make sure that That is the key word for us

:20:54. > :20:56.at this football club, We have to get better

:20:57. > :21:03.and we will keep evolving. Derby County have signed Liverpool's

:21:04. > :21:05.young forward Jordon Ibe on He made his first team debut

:21:06. > :21:10.for Wycombe at the age of jtst 5, Meanwhile the Rams have poured cold

:21:11. > :21:16.water on the idea that defender And, this week cold water w`s

:21:17. > :21:25.a bit of a theme. It is

:21:26. > :21:28.the Ice Bucket Challenge th`t has swept social media and even being

:21:29. > :21:31.the Derby boss and a former England Slightly unusual preparation

:21:32. > :21:40.for the match with Ipswich but also I found that out myself

:21:41. > :21:46.when I came here on loan. I was made to feel very welcome

:21:47. > :21:49.by everyone around the club. The boys are a good bunch

:21:50. > :21:52.and I hope it's the same Hopefully they can settle

:21:53. > :21:57.in well and get on with it. Once Natalie and I were nomhnated

:21:58. > :22:02.by a prominent Derby fan ` thanks for nothing, Nick Webster `

:22:03. > :22:05.and with the first team looking on, And as Richard, my cameraman,

:22:06. > :22:30.has enjoyed this so much, Notts County Manager Shaun Derry has

:22:31. > :22:42.insisted he is staying at Derry has been linked with

:22:43. > :22:48.the assistant manager's rold at It's after the appointment of

:22:49. > :22:52.Neil Warnock. But Derry says he's had no contact

:22:53. > :22:59.and wouldn't be interested `nyway. Notts play on Sunday and Mansfield

:23:00. > :23:03.host close neighbours Burton Albion. The reason Notts' match is on a

:23:04. > :23:06.Sunday is because Trent Bridge hosts a massive One Day International

:23:07. > :23:10.cricket match tomorrow. England's players were

:23:11. > :23:12.preparing under pressure today. Under pressure from results,

:23:13. > :23:16.one washed out, one crushing defeat Former Notts and England st`r Graham

:23:17. > :23:21.Swann says this team is a two`litre Outlaws batsman Alex Hales has been

:23:22. > :23:27.brought in almost as a turbo boost. I think that is part and parcel

:23:28. > :23:32.of playing cricket. There is always going to be that

:23:33. > :23:36.pressure but they have said to me, just go out and do what you have

:23:37. > :23:40.done for Notts and we will get I am just trying to keep it simple

:23:41. > :23:44.and keep my attacking intent. England's fortune could well turn

:23:45. > :23:47.at Trent Bridge and Hales could well We and

:23:48. > :24:11.a capacity crowd will be watching. It's a busy weekend. Were hoping you

:24:12. > :24:19.will have some good news about sunshine.

:24:20. > :24:30.The weekend isn't looking too bad. We've had some brisk winds `nd a few

:24:31. > :24:39.showers. An area of low pressure to the north of Scotland has bden given

:24:40. > :24:43.as some south`westerly winds. We will stay under the influence of

:24:44. > :24:47.that some time. Eventually the showers will fade away. And Sunday

:24:48. > :24:52.should be drier, brighter and warmer. The winds have been really

:24:53. > :24:59.Leicester E today, quite a lot of cloud around. It good to st`y this

:25:00. > :25:09.way overnight so quite a lot of cloud and showers here and there. It

:25:10. > :25:13.will be a relatively warm nhght with loads of 13 to 14 Celsius. The

:25:14. > :25:18.majority of showers should clear away by the morning. It will be dry

:25:19. > :25:23.with sunshine and brightness here and there. The winds will stay

:25:24. > :25:27.brisk. Showers will push in throughout the afternoon but the

:25:28. > :25:32.majority of us will miss those. The breeze will stay where this in the

:25:33. > :25:42.afternoon. Sheltered from the wind temperatures should be quitd good.

:25:43. > :25:46.The winds will ease down th`nks to an area of high pressure whhch is

:25:47. > :25:52.pushing up from the south. Sunday, you have a better bet for stnshine

:25:53. > :25:57.and some calm weather. It whll be dry and bright with temperatures up

:25:58. > :25:59.to 20 Celsius. Looking into next week, it is fairly cloudy whth some
