:11:02. > :11:09.It's to cover care worker costs of just under ?12,
:11:10. > :11:11.including the national minimum wage, travel time, supervision
:11:12. > :11:18.Then there's the running of the business, round about a fiver,
:11:19. > :11:21.leaving a profit, they say of 50p an hour.
:11:22. > :11:29.The association says low rates paid by some councils cause instability
:11:30. > :11:34.and unacceptably low pay and conditions.
:11:35. > :11:37.And some companies are now deciding to walk away or not take
:11:38. > :11:46.on cases if the price isn't right for them.
:11:47. > :11:49.How much of an impact will be made by the Government's recent
:11:50. > :11:56.Well, the Government says that councils can bring forward council
:11:57. > :12:00.tax increases to pay for social care, with some saying it's just

:16:26. > :16:29.joined by asylum seekers and refugees from Syria. We want to give
:16:30. > :16:33.a little back to the community for everything they have done for them
:16:34. > :16:40.so we got food, presents ready to give out, we are hoping to see some
:16:41. > :16:44.happy faces. How many people are homeless, about 50? In Leicester,
:16:45. > :16:47.there's an estimated figure of 50 people sleeping on the streets but
:16:48. > :16:51.there's also people in hostels, in flats on there or not doing too
:16:52. > :16:54.well, so we're trying to treat everybody the same, vulnerable
:16:55. > :17:01.people and elderly people as well who are lonely at this time of year.
:17:02. > :17:04.Also with us is Ali, an asylum seeker from Iran. You're not
:17:05. > :17:11.homeless but you're volunteering to serve the food. Why have you done
:17:12. > :17:18.that? When I arrived here, I didn't have any family or friends, but
:17:19. > :17:28.these people helped me to start to communicate with society and in my
:17:29. > :17:33.new home and now I try to do the same to other people and I try to
:17:34. > :17:41.learn this behaviour, to be kind to people who need to be kind. Thanks
