:03:19. > :03:39.is in Leicester tonight for us. It is. After more than 100 years on
:03:40. > :03:44.this very corner it has become more than just a store, it's a much loved
:03:45. > :03:48.Leicester landmark. Today's news hasn't just shocked and saddened

:03:54. > :03:58.One user simply says on Facebook, I can't imagine going into town and
:03:59. > :04:01.not pupping into Fenwicks. Generations have done just that

:04:43. > :04:46.This is a real sadness. This is one of 11 stores in a nationwide chain

:05:09. > :05:12.and the Fenwicks family say the rise of online shopping, I challenge
:05:13. > :05:23.facing all high street retailers, has affected trade, but so is its

:05:26. > :05:28.customers are heading to different centres like high cross and Fosse

:05:32. > :05:35.high-street casualty, leaving customers feeling a sense of loss
:05:36. > :05:40.again. It is the breadth of stuff on the furniture in the clothing that
:05:41. > :05:44.we mostly use so I will be sorry to see another big player in the middle

:05:48. > :05:55.don't expect someone like that to close their doors as they have, or
:05:56. > :05:57.they are going to. Yes, it is sad and sad for this street. The
:05:58. > :06:01.high-street is under more pressure than ever to get people through the

:06:25. > :06:28.the sense that those in charge feel that this area has been ignored and
:06:29. > :06:33.neglected perhaps. I counted along this street behind me four empty

:06:37. > :06:40.hear of the plans to close and the area around the store is seeing
