:00:20. > :00:22.Scambusters Team today saw ` company director jailed for six years.

:00:23. > :00:26.Jonathan Rivers, from the Wyvern Media Group in Ddrby

:00:27. > :00:29.was among ten people sentenced for the scam that prompted

:00:30. > :00:35.The man at the centre of wh`t the court heard were

:00:36. > :00:41.55-year-old Jonathan Rivers from Coleshill in Birminghal

:00:42. > :00:46.was the owner of publishing company Wyvern Media Group, based in Derby.

:00:47. > :00:54.He is believed to have earndd ?1.7 million between 2007-2012.

:00:55. > :00:57.Under his direction, employees focused on cold c`lling

:00:58. > :01:01.small firms to sell advertising space in its publications,

:01:02. > :01:04.like these, which were poor quality, mainly made up of adverts

:01:05. > :01:10.Staff misled customers into thinking the publications would be promoted

:01:11. > :01:14.at high-profile events or that they'd won awards that they'd need

:01:15. > :01:19.to pay to receive along with the associated advertising space.

:01:20. > :01:24.Unauthorised withdrawals were also made from customers' accounts.

:01:25. > :01:26.What they'd do on occasions when people made complaints

:01:27. > :01:29.is they would then threaten those individuals with legal action.

:01:30. > :01:32.Indeed, on occasions, they sought to take individtals

:01:33. > :01:35.through the County Court to recover the money they thought

:01:36. > :01:39.Over 500 people complained to Trading Standards

:01:40. > :01:45.One of them was this Uta Patterson from Shropshire who owned a dog

:01:46. > :01:49.rescue centre and died of ltng cancer last year.

:01:50. > :01:55.She lost over ?5,000 to the company, whom bombarded her with calls.

:01:56. > :02:08.She just said she wasn't hungry or...

:02:09. > :02:12.But that affected her a lot, not being to sleep.

:02:13. > :02:15.In total, ten people were sentenced today,

:02:16. > :02:19.all of whom pleaded guilty to their part in the fraud.

:02:20. > :02:24.Five were given jail terms ranging from six years to 16 months.

:02:25. > :02:28.The remaining five received suspended prison sentences,

:02:29. > :02:31.ranging from two years to three months.

:02:32. > :02:34.They were not happy to talk to the media as they left court

:02:35. > :02:37.this afternoon but one of them did apologise for her role.

:02:38. > :02:45.I am very sorry, and I regrdt everything about everything.

:02:46. > :02:51.The man accused of killing Derbyshire backpacker

:02:52. > :02:53.Mia Ayliffe-Chung has been charged with a second murder.

:02:54. > :02:57.Mia, from Wirksworth, died in Australia in August.

:02:58. > :03:00.Frenchman Smail Ayad, already charged with her murder

:03:01. > :03:03.has now been charged with the murder of Tom Jackson.

:03:04. > :03:06.He reportedly tried to protdct Mia, and died a week later

:03:07. > :03:10.The overnight closure of Grantham's A could continue.

:03:11. > :03:13.Despite local opposition, the unit has been shutting hts doors

:03:14. > :03:18.When it started in summer, it was meant to be a trial.

:03:19. > :03:20.But the United Lincolnshire Hospital's Trust is now recommending

:03:40. > :03:45.Roberts claimed he was in shock at the time, after his wife

:03:46. > :03:50.An exhibition is bringing b`ck memories of a firm that oncd

:03:51. > :03:55.The British Shoe Corporation had once been at the heart

:03:56. > :03:57.of the country's shoe industry, distributing millions

:03:58. > :04:04.If you bought a pair of shoes in the 1980s,

:04:05. > :04:07.there's a good chance they came from here.

:04:08. > :04:11.This is British Shoe Corpor`tion's distribution site in Leicester,

:04:12. > :04:14.filmed at its height, when around 2 million pairs

:04:15. > :04:18.of shoes arrived most weeks, destined for hundreds

:04:19. > :04:22.The British Shoe Corporation was a very importnat

:04:23. > :04:25.company to Leicester, probably one of the biggest employers,

:04:26. > :04:28.maybe the biggest companies, 2,500 people would actually

:04:29. > :04:35.The building had a floor arda of 1 million square feet,

:04:36. > :04:38.the equivalent of 11 football pitches.

:04:39. > :04:42.It was the largest single-storey warehouse in Europe.

:04:43. > :04:48.The warehouse closed in 1998, and, as you can see,

:04:49. > :04:53.the site is being bulldozed to make way for a new development.

:04:54. > :04:58.He worked for the company for 3 years and had the emotional job

:04:59. > :05:04.You closed the door, you looked through and you could see

:05:05. > :05:08.an empty warehouse, a very empty feeling.

:05:09. > :05:14.But, this week, a chance to remember happier times.

:05:15. > :05:18.This display in Leicester charts the corporation's history.

:05:19. > :05:20.It's attracted hundreds of former workers.

:05:21. > :05:29.It's open for the final time tomorrow.

:05:30. > :05:31.We're hearing tonight about an industrial fire

:05:32. > :05:35.It's at the Boughton Industrial Estate near Ollerton.

:05:36. > :05:38.The fire service advises anxone living nearby to keep

:05:39. > :05:40.doors and windows closed, as smoke may contain traces

:05:41. > :05:45.Nottingham's unveiled plans for how the city might mark

:05:46. > :05:50.2018 will be 100 years since fighting stopped

:05:51. > :05:55.Proposals up for considerathon include a new statue

:05:56. > :05:57.in Nottingham's memorial gardens, and projecting the names

:05:58. > :06:01.of Nottinghamshire's 14,000 fallen soldiers onto the existing war

:06:08. > :06:10.But, for the past century, many of these stories have remained

:06:11. > :06:14.submerged on memorials, in `rchives, in people's private collecthons

:06:15. > :06:18.So we think it would be a fhtting climax to that process to project

:06:19. > :06:22.the entire list onto this mdmorial which, for nearly a century,

:06:23. > :06:28.has commemorated the Great War loss without the names appearing on it.

:06:55. > :06:58.weekend. We stay dry and mild, not much in the way of sunshine. With

:06:59. > :07:05.light winds, we will see sole mist and fog through the nights. Maybe a

:07:06. > :07:09.spot or two of rain through the night but it's mostly dry. We will

:07:10. > :07:14.see some mist and fog forming in the early hours of the morning but it is

:07:15. > :07:22.a very mild night with a minimum of 13. It is a grey start the weekend.

:07:23. > :07:26.But fog could be slow to cldar but it will lift up to the low cloud.
