:01:21. > :01:23.We want to invest our hard work and money into that as opposed

:02:34. > :02:37.And I asked him whether charity shops are an easy target

:02:38. > :02:45.No, I don't think they're an easier target than any other

:02:46. > :02:46.retail establishment, to be honest.

:02:47. > :02:49.It might be that there are some people out there who think,

:02:50. > :02:51.charities, soft and fluffy, but actually, these charity

:02:52. > :02:53.shops are, by and large, incredibly professionally run.

:02:54. > :02:56.And it is certainly not the case that they are slack on security

:02:57. > :03:02.or any of those other things that you might think.

:03:03. > :03:06.But when security is breached, it is obviously very,

:03:23. > :03:24.Their insurance premiums might go up.

:03:25. > :03:27.But, crucially, there is the sapping effect that it has on the morale

:03:28. > :03:29.of staff and volunteers that is so dispiriting.

:03:30. > :03:32.Volunteers are giving of their time and effort and enthusiasm to support

:03:33. > :03:38.charities and society as a whole in so doing.

:03:39. > :03:40.It is really depressing when someone comes along

:03:41. > :03:50.Takes away from society and takes the profits away from the charity.

:03:51. > :03:54.That is a real shame as far as staff and volunteers are concerned.

:03:55. > :03:55.OK, Robin Osterley, thank you very much indeed.

:04:24. > :04:26.I think it has obviously been very difficult because she was extremely

:04:27. > :04:29.young when this happened, but I think they feel that the end

:04:30. > :04:31.of the criminal case will help her in her rehabilitation.

:06:02. > :06:03.for example, for things like diabetes, themselves.

:06:04. > :06:05.Other patients might be moved to care homes

:06:06. > :06:09.None of these measures are new but NHS bosses

:06:10. > :06:12.want to remind the public about them as they try and ease the pressure.

:06:13. > :06:19.We really want to get the message clear to people that rather

:06:20. > :06:23.than stay in hospital for a month or so while you wait for a long-term

:06:24. > :06:24.placement to become available, actually stepping down

:06:25. > :06:26.to a short-term placement to continue recovery

:06:27. > :06:35.And it also helps the Acute Hospital to release a bed for someone

:06:36. > :06:37.who is really seriously ill and needs that bed.

:06:38. > :06:42.She helps teach people how to do their own injections

:06:43. > :06:48.Patients have a range of usually long-term conditions.

:07:40. > :07:41.show me how close this new development will be

:07:42. > :07:44.In the distance, ground breaking has begun on this huge

:07:45. > :07:49.You feel that this is a very good development because it will bring

:07:50. > :07:54.In this climate at the moment, with employment as it is,

:07:55. > :08:05.The East Midlands Gateway will cover 700 acres with 6 million square

:08:17. > :08:20.The developers will build, at last, a bypass to take

:08:21. > :08:24.I think it is very sad for the village.

:08:25. > :08:27.I think it could be better for traffic but it might hurt some

:08:28. > :08:32.The sooner the better. It is about time.

:08:33. > :08:37.1935, I think, they were calling for it.

:08:38. > :08:40.But not everyone is happy with the great gateway.

:08:41. > :08:43.Many villagers in Lockington and Hemington have fought the plans.

:08:44. > :08:46.I think it will impact on everyone round here because the amount

:08:47. > :08:49.of traffic that will come in, the people who are going to be

:08:50. > :08:51.building the thing, the people who will apparently be working here,

:08:52. > :08:54.there will be lorries coming in and out, people trying

:09:35. > :09:39.It is called me tonight but are continuing with that quite drunk

:09:40. > :09:44.north-westerly wind. They should prevent a frost but there is a

:09:45. > :09:48.weather warning in supplying for tomorrow and the Chans was seeing

:09:49. > :09:51.some snow. Not only from wintry showers coming from the north but

:09:52. > :09:55.also from some rain moving in from the south as well. This was captured

:09:56. > :09:59.earlier today when the Skystrator Breitner times in Bamford. Thank you

:10:00. > :10:06.to one of our Weather Watchers for that. -- earlier today when this guy

:10:07. > :10:13.tried to brighten at times in Bamford. In the early hours, there

:10:14. > :10:23.is a stronger likelihood of showers coming wintry. Tomorrow morning,

:10:24. > :10:26.Cheryl started in case. You could see since now in the Peak District

:10:27. > :10:29.and in North Nottinghamshire for a time. This area of rain starts to

:10:30. > :10:33.move in and could actually cause some problems. It might sink further

:10:34. > :10:41.south was but it could come for the North as well. Until it starts to

:10:42. > :10:45.pull away, we could start to see it at lower levels and are built as

:10:46. > :10:48.well. That is a big problem first thing on Friday morning if you are

:10:49. > :10:53.setting off early. In addition, another little area of rain could in

:10:54. > :10:56.some snow first on Friday. Things gradually start to climb down again

:10:57. > :10:57.over the weekend and it is a little bit more settled by Saturday. I will

:10:58. > :11:02.leave you with the potentially leading us into a chilly

:11:03. > :11:03.start to the weekend. Time for the national weather prospects if you

:11:04. > :11:11.are on the move. Good evening, a lot going on with

:11:12. > :11:14.the weather in the next few days, numerous weather warnings in for so

:11:15. > :11:18.buried in mind if you have travel plans. Lots of isobars on the chart

:11:19. > :11:21.overnight which means it will be windy for all. The strongest winds

:11:22. > :11:25.in Scotland, lots of wintry showers with snow getting down to

:11:26. > :11:29.increasingly low levels and some wintry showers in Northern Ireland

:11:30. > :11:32.and northern England. A cold night for Northern England, particularly

:11:33. > :11:37.in more rural spots, frosty and I see for some and some of the snow

:11:38. > :11:39.really blowing around over higher ground in Scotland. Strong wind and

:11:40. > :11:43.further snow to take us into tomorrow. It may well make for some

:11:44. > :11:48.tricky travelling conditions. The forecast for tomorrow in the

:11:49. > :11:49.southern half of the UK's quite tricky. We have got mild air bumping
