:00:21. > :00:24.A month ago Ryan Counsell was found guilty of four terrorism offences.

:00:25. > :00:27.He's a Muslim convert, who had downloaded a "wealth"

:00:28. > :00:29.of jihadi extremist material, and bought military

:00:30. > :00:34.That prompted a raid on his home near the ASDA store

:00:35. > :00:38.They found he was due to fly out to the Philippines

:00:39. > :00:43.Our Social Affairs Correspondent, Jeremy Ball, was at the sentencing

:00:44. > :00:44.this afternoon at Woolwich Crown Court.

:00:45. > :00:47.Judge Andrew Lees said he had no doubt that Ryan Counsell

:00:48. > :00:54.That's a violent extremist group, that's pledged allegiance

:00:55. > :00:57.to the so-called Islamic State, and which beheaded a German

:00:58. > :01:03.The judge said he spent almost ?900 on that military equipment,

:01:04. > :01:08.And he'd downloaded beheading videos, bomb-making guides,

:01:09. > :01:11.and advice on how to pack, and to join the group,

:01:12. > :01:17.I've been speaking to one local imam, Musharraf Hussain

:01:18. > :01:20.from the Bobbers Hill mosque. He says "This case highlights

:01:21. > :01:23.the dangers of Muslim converts trying to learn

:01:24. > :01:29.I think anybody who wants to do any criminal activity and commit

:01:30. > :01:34.violence and join any terrorist groups, it is shocking.

:01:35. > :01:38.And we want to condemn it and I would not regard him as part

:01:39. > :01:40.of the Muslim community or our city, in fact.

:01:41. > :01:48.Rather than virtual teachers, we need real teachers.

:01:49. > :01:50.Ryan Counsell was sentenced this afternoon.

:01:51. > :01:52.He didn't show any emotion, but there was some mitigation

:01:53. > :01:56.from his barrister. He said that Counsell chose

:01:57. > :01:59.to leave Nottingham soon after the Brexit vote,

:02:00. > :02:03.because he was worried about a backlash against Muslims.

:02:04. > :02:07.He also said that if Counsell had "cold-called" Abu Sayyaf,

:02:08. > :02:10.the chances are that instead of recruiting him, they would

:02:11. > :02:15.have taken him hostage and held him for ransom.

:02:16. > :02:18.A taxi passenger has admitted opening a car door which led

:02:19. > :02:24.26-year-old teacher Sam Boulton died near Leicester

:02:25. > :02:29.56-year-old Mandy Chapple, seen here with the umbrella,

:04:04. > :04:07.On ward B49 at the Queen's Medical Centre, they encourage patients

:04:14. > :04:19.But on Ward C4, Jacklin has been in hospital for three weeks, and has

:04:34. > :04:37.every image that comes up will be patients in hospital gowns

:04:38. > :04:42.They're so convinced, they have started a new wardrobe.

:04:43. > :04:52.Some spare, donated clothes for any patients that need them.
