:00:47. > :00:54.been issued with redundancy notices to cut their number by 13.

:00:58. > :01:01.It's very upsetting, very, very upsetting.
:01:02. > :01:06.For the past two years the county council has helped with contingency
:01:07. > :01:09.funds and this year it is providing an extra ?100,000, but it is not
:01:10. > :01:15.At the end of the day, our children deserve the same
:01:16. > :01:17.opportunities as every other child in Derbyshire, yet receive ?800
:01:18. > :01:21.less per pupil than your typical Derbyshire child.

:01:57. > :01:59.these TAs is a disaster, it really is a disaster and it seems

:02:05. > :02:08.Staff who are losing their jobs will be notified in May
:02:09. > :02:09.and compulsively redundancies cannot be ruled out.

:02:28. > :02:30.This is all to do with why Hilton Primary, a primary pupil
:02:31. > :02:32.there is worth ?3090 a head, whereas a primary pupil
:02:33. > :02:34.somewhere else in Derbyshire is worth ?3900 a head,
:02:35. > :02:37.and this is what Derbyshire County Council need to actually
:02:38. > :02:49.And, of course, there is the proposed funding formula...
:02:50. > :02:51.This school would benefit by about ?200,000 a year.
:02:52. > :02:53.Now, Tory backbenchers are essentially threatening
:02:54. > :02:56.putting this on hold, what do you make of this?
:02:57. > :03:00.Certainly backbenchers who have small rural schools have found that
:03:01. > :03:04.at certain times the funding formula will not help them.
:03:05. > :03:08.In South Derbyshire, out of my 40 schools,
:03:09. > :03:13.30 would improve or stay the same and ten would lose, so no
:03:14. > :03:16.doubt I am going to be getting letters from those.
:03:17. > :03:18.So it is quite right that the consultation period is only
:03:19. > :03:22.just finished and Justine Greening needs to look at the whole formula.
:03:23. > :03:28.The whole point of this was to make sure that schools like Hilton
:03:29. > :03:31.actually increased in their funding and we had fair funding
:03:32. > :03:36.OK, Heather Wheeler, thank you very much.
:03:37. > :03:38.Leicestershire Police say they're reviewing one of their "risk
:03:39. > :03:40.assessment" forms after it sparked a racism row.
:03:41. > :03:43.The claim has come from music promoters who say other forces
:03:44. > :03:45.are using the system to unfairly ban rappers and grime
:03:46. > :04:00.It's fast tempo, it's high energy, it's the attitude,
:04:01. > :04:03.it is the whole culture, it is fashion, it is
:04:04. > :04:08.People in the industry have said that this genre of music
:04:09. > :04:10.is being unfairly targeted by the police, who ask
:04:11. > :04:13.for a specific risk assessment form to be filled in.
:04:14. > :04:15.In my experience, when it's normally a night where it's
:04:16. > :04:18.predominantly black people, without fail, the 696 form comes out
:04:19. > :04:25.This is the form used by Leicestershire Police
:04:26. > :04:27.which specifically asks questions about ethnicity of the audience.
:04:28. > :04:35.Event organisers claim that is racist.
:04:36. > :04:37.Well, Sarah is here, what have our police forces had
:04:38. > :04:43.Well, we saw in my report Leicestershire Police
:04:44. > :04:45.is using these forms and, here, it is clearly asking
:04:46. > :04:50.Derbyshire Police don't use the forms and Nottinghamshire Police
:04:51. > :04:52.told us they don't profile the ethnicity of attendees
:04:53. > :04:57.when assessing the potential risk of an event.
:04:58. > :05:00.But they look at rival factions such as local
:05:01. > :05:06.The issue with this form really is that lots of these artists
:05:07. > :05:08.are much more mainstream now and many of those artists have
:05:09. > :05:12.played here in the East Midlands without any trouble at all.
:05:13. > :05:14.So a form that links safety to ethnicity
:05:15. > :05:19.Leicestershire Police have told us today this form
:05:20. > :05:31.From today, Grantham's A department will open
:05:32. > :05:35.The unit's been shut overnight from 6:30pm until 9am since last
:05:36. > :05:37.August due to a lack of medical staff.
:05:38. > :05:39.It'll now open from eight o'clock each morning
:05:40. > :05:42.And its hours will be looked at again in May.

:07:22. > :07:25.It is a scheme that has been trialled with success
:07:26. > :07:28.It has been welcomed by cycling groups here.
:07:29. > :07:30.Survey after survey has shown that the reason that people
:07:31. > :07:33.do not cycle is primarily because of the fear of traffic
:07:34. > :07:36.and it only takes one near miss or close pass to put them
:07:37. > :07:41.The Highway Code says you should give at least as much
:07:42. > :07:44.space as you would a car, or run the risk of being prosecuted
:07:45. > :07:52.for driving without due care and attention.

:08:19. > :08:22.probably there are three times more than that that go unreported. It is
:08:23. > :08:33.a serious problem and one of the most common complaints at cyclists
:08:34. > :08:36.make is that drivers pass them far too close and squeeze them into the
:08:37. > :08:38.gutter. Changing the road itself through cycle lanes and facilities
:08:39. > :08:40.is one of the ways that is getting looked at, also managing traffic
:08:41. > :08:43.speed which gives drivers more time to see what is happening in front of
:08:44. > :08:44.them and avoid the risk of collisions. The scheme by
