:01:57. > :01:58.will take into account environmental features such as Major Oak.

:01:59. > :02:01.It says only if the seismic tests are positive will it consider

:02:02. > :02:07.drilling horizontally and fracking for shale gas.

:05:56. > :05:58.you just want to see the baby animals.

:05:59. > :06:04.But let's meet Zac, first of all. His job is to count all the animals.

:06:05. > :06:07.How do you manage it with these guys who are swinging

:06:08. > :06:11.It can be quite challenging, but you just have to wait for them

:06:12. > :06:15.to sit still for a bit and quickly count as fast as you can.

:06:16. > :06:17.And how many babies have there been this year, Zac?

:06:18. > :06:19.There's been 41 in total, which is actually a fantastic

:06:20. > :06:22.Two of the highlights include Amur leopards,

:06:47. > :06:51.Now, these animals go on to a global database, don't they?

:06:52. > :06:58.We pool all our information together on this global database,

:06:59. > :07:00.so that the breeding programmes can keep track of how populations

:07:01. > :07:04.are changing within zoos, the researchers can utilise that

:07:05. > :07:07.data on there, and it's making a positive impact on how zoos

:07:08. > :07:10.And is it ultimately to save endangered species?

:07:11. > :07:15.Absolutely. All the information for the captive

:07:16. > :07:18.breeding programmes that we report to comes directly from that animal

:07:19. > :07:22.OK, Zak, well, I'll leave you to carry on counting,

:07:23. > :07:26.and he does tell me that next year they are expecting even more babies!

:07:27. > :07:31.A bigger bumper crop, here at Twycross zoo.
