:06:22. > :06:26.Campaigners say it will destroy a viewpoint near Stanton

:06:27. > :06:28.Gate in Derbyshire - and harm local wildlife.

:06:29. > :06:42.This is one of two HS2 consultation events taking place in the East

:06:43. > :06:45.Midlands this weekend. One of the concerns being raised is about the

:06:46. > :06:49.building of a proposed new viaduct as part of the route which at the

:06:50. > :06:54.moment is going to a local beauty spot. There has been concern about

:06:55. > :06:59.that. We were there this morning with a campaigner who says she wants

:07:00. > :07:01.to see the line being built instead over the existing railway line

:07:02. > :07:10.rather than over green belt land. With me no is a spokesperson from

:07:11. > :07:14.HS2 Ltd, could you build the viaduct over the existing railway line

:07:15. > :07:17.rather than over green belt land? We have considered a number of routes.

:07:18. > :07:22.We believe the route we are proposing is the late route that

:07:23. > :07:26.strikes the right balance between impact and people and building a

:07:27. > :07:29.high-speed line. We will continue to seek improvements to it but at the

:07:30. > :07:32.moment this is the route that we would like to take forward. The

:07:33. > :07:38.consultation is still open, what are you hoping people will take away

:07:39. > :07:41.from the events today? I am hoping get more information, the

:07:42. > :07:47.opportunity to talk to our experts. Also the opportunity for us and HS2

:07:48. > :07:51.to their concerns. The consultation runs until the 9th of March. We will

:07:52. > :08:04.have more on this tonight at half past six. Here is the weather. Cold

:08:05. > :08:07.and wet weather on the way as we go towards the weekend but we had a

:08:08. > :08:12.frosty start this morning and that gave us some beautiful Weather

:08:13. > :08:20.Watchers pictures. But we also had a rather grey day so far. It is still

:08:21. > :08:24.looking overcast out there. There are hints of brightness as they go

:08:25. > :08:27.through this afternoon. If you see some of those do take advantage of

:08:28. > :08:31.them because as we look at the charts we can see this cold front

:08:32. > :08:35.coming in our direction. That is bringing lots of rain. Take extra

:08:36. > :08:39.care if you are on the roads overnight tonight. Quite a cloudy

:08:40. > :08:43.afternoon ahead. Some heads of brightness. That band of rain

:08:44. > :08:49.starting to come in our direction. Highs of four Celsius. Tonight it is

:08:50. > :08:53.quite a messy picture. Rain working across the region through its too

:08:54. > :08:59.late and the early hours. Walls of around two Celsius. Watch out for

:09:00. > :09:11.spray on the roads. There could be missed Ness on higher ground. The

:09:12. > :09:16.chance of showers turning wintry. Behind the brighter weather but just

:09:17. > :09:22.if you scattered showers, milder, with highs of seven Celsius. The

:09:23. > :09:25.announcement, turning more unsettled, but milder as well.

:09:26. > :09:47.Not a very nice picture. That is all for now. Goodbye.

:09:48. > :10:05.The FA Cup fourth round, next weekend, across the BBC.

:10:06. > :10:07.It's incredible, the changes that have occurred in just 50 years.

:10:08. > :10:09.Oh, my goodness me, I don't like the look of that.

:10:10. > :10:14.The Robshaws are going back in time again...

:10:15. > :10:17.Feel a little bit overwhelmed at the moment.
