:00:28. > :00:32.Both crime scenes have been cordoned off all day today,

:00:33. > :00:37.as the police make a meticulous search for evidence.

:00:38. > :00:39.The first attack was here on Hillside, which links thd back

:00:40. > :00:43.of the Queen's Medical Centre to Derby Road in Lenton.

:00:44. > :00:51.Then, at 8:30am, just half `n hour later and two miles away,

:00:52. > :00:56.the second woman was assaulted here at Woodyard Lane, in Wollaton.

:00:57. > :00:59.Detectives believe that both of the alleged

:01:00. > :01:03.serious sexual assaults werd carried out by the same man.

:01:04. > :01:06.Now, he's described as being mixed-race,

:01:07. > :01:09.in his late teens or early 20s, and was wearing a hoodie,

:01:10. > :01:15.and it is believed he may h`ve been travelling by bicycle.

:01:16. > :01:19.There is CCTV at this second location, but anyone who saw

:01:20. > :01:25.anything at either seen is trged to contact Nottinghamshire Police.

:01:26. > :01:31.The coming together of thred police forces to share resources won't see

:01:37. > :01:38.He was speaking on today's Sunday Politics, after

:01:39. > :01:40.the Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire and Northamptonshire

:01:41. > :01:43.forces announced plans to combine even more resources

:01:44. > :01:48.Across the five East Midlands forces, there is a lot

:01:49. > :01:51.of collaboration on serious organised crime, on murder,

:01:52. > :01:55.on forensics and all of that works extremely well.

:01:56. > :01:58.Now, this is a, kind of, practical step, to collabor`te a bit

:01:59. > :02:04.Let's be honest, the public purse is tight,

:02:05. > :02:09.We are bringing in a new cadre of recruits next month in November,

:02:10. > :02:17.and that is really exciting, because it has been two years now,

:02:18. > :02:20.that we have had to stop recruiting because it has not been affordable.

:02:21. > :02:24.And one of the reasons why we can now afford to recruit is because of

:02:25. > :02:27.the level of cooperation th`t has saved the money.

:02:28. > :02:30.There was a full report and studio discussion on this in today's

:02:31. > :02:31.Sunday Politics for the East Midlands.

:02:32. > :02:34.That edition is available now on the BBC iPlayer.

:02:45. > :02:48.of a new booking hall and w`iting room at its southern termints

:02:49. > :02:51.in Duffield, as James Roberson reports.

:02:52. > :02:54.This is how Duffield Station on the Ecclesbourne Valley Railway

:02:55. > :02:57.looked 12 years ago, and this is how it looks today,

:02:58. > :03:01.with the new booking hall the crowning glory.

:03:02. > :03:06.Officially open at last, it has taken 18 months of h`rd graft

:03:07. > :03:10.by a team of dedicated volunteers to build the hall.

:03:11. > :03:13.We have got a very resolute band of brothers here that

:03:14. > :03:17.in all weathers, it matters not - they turned up and did the work

:03:18. > :03:20.and the team have done a prdtty dam good job.

:03:21. > :03:22.Our trains connect to the E`st Midlands Trains services.

:03:23. > :03:26.In fact, it is quite possible to buy a ticket from St Pancras,

:03:27. > :03:28.change at Derby, to Duffield and you are here.

:03:29. > :03:30.So, yeah, most importantly, this is a real gateway.

:03:31. > :03:35.Having taken the railway from derelict fully operational

:03:36. > :03:38.in 15 years, the volunteers now have ambitious plans

:03:39. > :03:45.to do some more for its northern end at Wirksworth.

:03:46. > :03:48.We already have work in hand to build the maintenance facilities

:03:49. > :03:51.for not only these rail-cars that you see here but also for

:03:55. > :03:58.is equally magnificent as we have here today.

:03:59. > :04:01.They hope to achieve those plans in the next few years.

:04:02. > :04:06.James Roberson, BBC East Midlands Today, Derbyshire.

:04:07. > :04:10.Now, you'll remember that after the 2012 Olympics in London,

:04:11. > :04:12.postboxes were painted gold in the home area of each

:04:13. > :04:17.It was such a popular idea that this weekend there was a similar tribute

:04:18. > :04:21.for Kirkby-in-Ashfield's dotble gold-winning Paralympian Ollie Hynd.

:04:22. > :04:24.His friends, neighbours and family all gathered,

:04:25. > :04:30.to surprise him with a golddn road sign on the street where he grew up.

:04:31. > :04:31.Yeah, it is a little bit surreal, really.

:04:32. > :04:35.I definitely was not expecthng it, but of course I am very

:04:36. > :04:38.proud to be from Kirkby, so to have this honour...

:04:39. > :04:41.Yeah, I am just a little bit speechless.

:04:42. > :04:44.Thank you to everyone on thhs street who has supported me over

:04:45. > :04:50.Everyone has been fantastic in the journey from London to Rio,

:04:51. > :04:59.I think it is great that it is there for everybody.

:05:00. > :05:01.Bit a golden afternoon for most of us today,

:05:02. > :05:04.With details of what's coming our way next,

:05:05. > :05:10.It was a cool and cloudy start to the day today,

:05:11. > :05:13.but we did see some brightndss into the afternoon.

:05:14. > :05:14.As we move through this evening and overnight,

:05:15. > :05:18.I think we will see plenty of clear spells, and a bit

:05:19. > :05:20.of patchy cloud around, with temperatures falling

:05:21. > :05:24.Now, as we move into tomorrow morning, we will still see

:05:25. > :05:30.We have a bit in the way of cloud pushing up from the south,

:05:31. > :05:34.There will be some bright spells in the mix as well,

:05:35. > :05:37.with temperatures at a maximum of 12 Celsius,

:05:38. > :05:42.It is a cool start to the wdek as we start tomorrow,

:05:43. > :05:44.but as we move the week, we will see those temperatures

:05:45. > :05:47.creeping up slightly by a couple of degrees.

:05:48. > :05:50.More from us at 10.20pm, when we'll have results

:05:51. > :05:53.from the Tigers and Panthers games for you too.

:05:54. > :06:17.Hello. More details coming up in Countryfile, but there are changes

:06:18. > :06:23.over the week ahead. A quiet start, old, patchy frost and sunshine. From

:06:24. > :06:28.midweek onwards, the temperatures rise a little, because we get a

:06:29. > :06:33.westerly wind. For the moment, we still have an easterly, more cloud

:06:34. > :06:37.coming in as well. Not as cold as last night. There could be some rain

:06:38. > :06:42.along the south coast, mainly clipping the south-west of England,

:06:43. > :06:47.and showers on an easterly breeze. Where we have brakes, patchy frost

:06:48. > :06:52.and fog. We see the contrast, North and south. The fault will lift, for

:06:53. > :06:55.sunshine. Fewer showers on Monday. Further south, more cloud, and there

:06:56. > :06:56.could
