:01:39. > :01:54.It is an annual event. Today was the tenth service to be held to

:01:55. > :01:59.celebrate the work of the charity with homeless and gullible people

:02:00. > :02:06.across the region. Among those taking place was 30-year-old Andrew.

:02:07. > :02:11.-- vulnerable people. He lives in accommodation provided by the

:02:12. > :02:15.charity. They have helped my budget, helped me save money, helped me buy

:02:16. > :02:22.things from my flat. And I moved to my next place I will still have the

:02:23. > :02:24.money I had before. More than 11,000 people are helped every year by

:02:25. > :02:31.paternity's staff, volunteers and supporters. We just go down as

:02:32. > :02:34.friends, talk to the service users that they want to talk to us, those

:02:35. > :02:39.with staff and we have become friends with them over the years.

:02:40. > :02:44.Candles were lit for those who were supported by the charity and

:02:45. > :02:47.remember others who need help. We need outreach work. We need

:02:48. > :02:52.sufficient accommodation to move them into and we need good quality

:02:53. > :02:56.prevention work. If we put those bits of the jigsaw in place, it is

:02:57. > :03:02.possible to stop homelessness. That is why hundreds came to give thanks.

:03:03. > :03:04.Today marks 20 years since Derby City, Leicester City

:03:05. > :03:06.and Rutland County Councils became independent authorities.

:03:07. > :03:08.The local government re-organisation saw key public services transferred

:03:09. > :03:10.to the three authorities as they separated from their
