:01:45. > :01:48.Top of the list, three new aerial platforms,
:01:49. > :01:50.1200 new breathing apparatus sets and
:01:51. > :01:53.two new drones, along with more masks,
:01:54. > :02:01.The mayor has said he will raid savings to pay for now,
:02:02. > :02:03.but wants the Government to cover the cost.
:02:04. > :02:08.I've had, this week, an initial response from the Home Secretary
:02:09. > :02:11.which I regret to say is not encouraging and stresses
:02:12. > :02:13.that it is a matter for the GLA to manage
:02:14. > :02:15.within its existing funding arrangements.
:02:16. > :02:18.This is the letter the Home Secretary sent to the mayor.
:02:19. > :02:22."Funding of the Fire Brigade is a matter for you,"
:02:23. > :02:24.and says City Hall already gets enough money from Government.

:02:28. > :02:30.The message from the Home Secretary to the mayor is a blunt one.

:02:36. > :02:40.The worry here at City Hall is that paying for it now will leave a black
:02:41. > :02:44.hole in the finances in years to come.
:02:45. > :02:52.How can we afford all this if the Government doesn't help?
:02:53. > :02:55.I think this will be a serious problem in the future,
:02:56. > :02:57.about balancing the books for the London Fire Brigade.

:05:57. > :05:59.passenger on this number 77 bus along Lavender Hill in Clapham
:06:00. > :06:04.described how would you off the road and into a shop. There was a lot of
:06:05. > :06:10.screaming on the bus. There was a lady in different right seat... You
:06:11. > :06:13.could only see the upper half of her body, that was all you could see.
:06:14. > :06:18.She was screaming for help, there was blood. I went to try to help
:06:19. > :06:23.her, my first reaction was to try to pull her out, but it was physically
:06:24. > :06:28.impossible, she was wedged in. It was then up to the London Fargo to
:06:29. > :06:32.save her. She and another woman also on the top deck, were rescued using
:06:33. > :06:38.specialist equipment -- up to the London Fire Brigade. We used a air
:06:39. > :06:41.platform, it high vehicle we use to reach tall buildings, in this case,
:06:42. > :06:45.one we have casualties trapped in the upper deck of a bus, we can use
:06:46. > :06:49.it to provide a stable, safe platform to bring the casualties
:06:50. > :06:54.down. Other passengers on board were treated by paramedics at the scene
:06:55. > :06:57.and the driver was also taken to hospital. It has been claimed he had
:06:58. > :07:00.some sort of seizure while driving the vehicle. I didn't see the bus
:07:01. > :07:05.driver but I have heard from other passengers that a boss Trevor
:07:06. > :07:10.blacked out. Another lady on the bus said that she saw him slack-jawed
:07:11. > :07:17.with his eyes open. Noel was inside the shop as it hasn't yet open. --
:07:18. > :07:20.no one was inside. It said in a statement that bottle with the
:07:21. > :07:23.driver and passengers. As the buses slowly are meticulously taken away,
:07:24. > :07:26.you can see the full extent of the damage and how the front top end of
:07:27. > :07:29.the bus smashed into the side of the shop. Transport for London, along
:07:30. > :07:37.with the Met police, now investigating what happened.

:07:40. > :07:43.life-threatening or the changing. They will soon made an appeal for

:21:08. > :21:13.coming into some ancient tomb or some thing like that. It's just the

:21:17. > :21:22.at such a premium, and so many beautiful old art deco cinemas are
:21:23. > :21:26.being demolished, this is an incredible survivor. It is such a
:21:27. > :21:30.kind of like sleeping beauty waiting to be discovered. The Savoy was wake
