:00:18. > :00:21.busiest rail stations after a trackside fire

:00:22. > :00:24.Commuters using Euston station are being warned tomorrow morning's

:00:25. > :00:38.Let's get the latest from Alpa Patel, who's there.

:00:39. > :00:44.We've just heard that one service will run out of Euston to magister,

:00:45. > :00:48.but that is the first in about seven hours to run out what you have said

:00:49. > :00:53.is the busiest station, one of the busiest in the country. The fire has

:01:03. > :01:05.Euston, Richmond, Harrow and clap and the Bakerloo line. It is all

:01:06. > :01:10.because of this track-side fire which knocked out the power near

:01:11. > :01:15.South Hampstead and caused severe signalling problems and massive

:01:16. > :01:17.disruption to thousands of people. We have spoken to some of them and

:01:38. > :01:41.in the morning at nine o'clock I think they should put some kind

:01:42. > :01:45.of coaches on so I can Well, Network Rail says engineers

:01:46. > :01:55.will work through the night to lay new power cables in the hope

:01:56. > :02:05.of getting services back Frustratingly, the message is very

:02:06. > :02:08.much to check before you travel. Back to you.

:02:09. > :02:11.And you can of course get the very latest on tomorrow morning's travel

:02:26. > :02:34.He then barricaded himself in the house before the blast happened.

:02:35. > :02:36.Tolu Adayoye reports from Stroud Green.

:02:37. > :02:39.From above, you can see the level of destruction caused by the fire,

:02:53. > :02:56.I was going out of the house and I heard a big burst, you know?

:02:57. > :03:02.I wasn't aware until I seen the smoke.

:03:03. > :03:04.Someone tells you that there was an explosion.

:03:05. > :03:06.Even the police confirmed it, he was shouting,

:03:07. > :03:08.screaming at people, don't go through the road.

:03:09. > :03:11.He was expecting maybe another explosion or burst.

:03:12. > :03:14.Police say they were called to the house in Stroud Green just

:03:15. > :03:17.before midday to reports of a man with a weapon.

:03:18. > :03:20.The man, who was in his 50s, is said to have been

:03:21. > :03:23.in an ongoing housing dispute, and it is understood bailiffs

:03:24. > :03:27.were at the address, along with the man's family.

:03:28. > :03:30.Police say shortly after officers arrived at the property,

:03:31. > :03:35.The suspect was left with serious injuries.

:03:36. > :03:38.He is now in hospital, in a critical condition.

:03:39. > :03:42.Three police officers suffered minor injuries.

:03:43. > :03:46.All our crews have worked hard because they did have a severe fire

:03:47. > :03:49.in the lower ground floor when they attended.

:03:50. > :03:53.Obviously, you can understand, it is a hot day as well and working

:03:54. > :03:56.in these conditions with a severe fire, it is quite difficult.

:03:57. > :04:00.It appears this was a domestic incident and the police say

:04:01. > :04:04.they are not looking for anyone else in connection with it.

:04:05. > :04:06.An investigation is now underway into exactly what happened.

:04:07. > :04:17.So it's official, and Londoners will cast their vote on the 8th June.

:04:18. > :04:19.As the party leaders hit the campaign trail,

:04:20. > :04:22.the Lib Dem leader promised to "park his party's

:04:23. > :04:24.tanks on the Tory lawns of south-west London".

:04:25. > :04:26.Meanwhile, the Labour leader was visiting the key

:04:27. > :04:33.Here's our political correspondent Karl Mercer.

:04:34. > :04:36.A party leader, a hastily arranged crowd and cheering on cue.

:04:37. > :04:44.A party leader, a hastily arranged crowd and cheering on cue.

:04:45. > :04:53.The election may have been a surprise but the banners are ready

:04:54. > :04:55.and the battle for marginal seats is on.

:04:56. > :05:04.The Lib Dems don't have much to cheer about in London so no

:05:05. > :05:06.surprise their leader chose Richmond Park on day one

:05:07. > :05:10.Sarah Olney won the seat in a by-election in December,

:05:11. > :05:13.beating Zac Goldsmith, a success she believes could see

:05:14. > :05:16.the party regain lost ground across south-west London.

:05:17. > :05:19.The voters of Richmond Park in December took the opportunity

:05:20. > :05:21.to send a very clear message to the Conservative government

:05:22. > :05:28.I'm really hoping they will take this opportunity to do so again.

:05:29. > :05:30.The last election saw a host of Lib Dem big

:05:31. > :05:32.names lose their seats, Vince Cable, Ed Davey

:05:33. > :05:36.All look like they want to stand again.

:05:37. > :05:38.Southwark and Bermondsey, Hornsey and Wood Green are also

:05:39. > :05:42.hugely important and significant seats for us.

:05:43. > :05:45.You know, we are bound to look at places like Vauxhall and think

:05:46. > :05:48.with a heavily pro-Leave Labour MP, and a very liberal constituency,

:05:49. > :05:51.every chance we could do well in places like that.

:05:52. > :05:54.Their opponents are ready and already stuffing envelopes.

:05:55. > :05:58.They will point out the Lib Dems only have two seats out of 73

:05:59. > :06:01.in London and the man who beat Simon Hughes says he's

:06:02. > :06:04.He allowed the tuition fees to go through.

:06:05. > :06:06.There were thousands of students in this constituency.

:06:07. > :06:09.You know, it is his policies that have left families unable to access

:06:10. > :06:13.If the Lib Dems want to choose Sir Simon,

:06:14. > :06:18.It is a similar story for the woman who beat

:06:19. > :06:21.Vince Cable last time round, in party colours today and up

:06:22. > :06:24.I don't know what's wrong with me but I'm looking

:06:25. > :06:31.I think it's because we are full on talking to people and I think

:06:32. > :06:34.that's what I remember in 2015, when I, when the polls

:06:35. > :06:36.stopped at ten o'clock and I had that feeling of,

:06:37. > :06:41.Labour's leader was in London's most marginal seat in Croydon,

:06:42. > :06:46.We want a Labour MP that is going to stand up

:06:47. > :06:51.The Labour council in Croydon is building council housing.

:06:52. > :07:01.I want a Labour government that builds council housing.

:07:02. > :07:03.So the rallying cries have only just started.

:07:04. > :07:06.There are 50 more days of this to come.

:07:07. > :07:10.As we know, the upcoming election will be the third

:07:11. > :07:14.But some Londoners weren't eligible to vote in the EU Referendum.

:07:15. > :07:16.Frankie McCamley reports on what impact young voters

:07:17. > :07:26.In a snap general election, there is only one game to play

:07:27. > :07:30.to find out what these young voters will be looking out

:07:31. > :07:39.Well, the way I see it, she's like a mad head teacher.

:07:40. > :07:41.Now she's called the election, it's like, well, maybe this Corbyn

:07:42. > :07:45.might have an idea or Labour or Lib Dems might.

:07:46. > :07:49.If you open up the floor, you don't know what people are going to say.

:07:50. > :08:04.I'm a massive fan of it because it's still free health care.

:08:05. > :08:07.There's going to be a lot of issues with it.

:08:08. > :08:10.I'll be looking for someone who can change waiting times.

:08:11. > :08:12.Obviously, if you're critically ill, it would be amazing if you can

:08:13. > :08:17.If anyone's able to do that, that would be amazing.

:08:18. > :08:23.And what about the reason they're in college today, education?

:08:24. > :08:26.A few decades ago, people would go to uni because the degree

:08:27. > :08:29.would pretty much guarantee them a job when they left.

:08:30. > :08:32.I think it would be great for the universities to provide more

:08:33. > :08:36.Despite their opinions, official figures show

:08:37. > :08:39.in the last general election, 18-24-year-olds had the smallest

:08:40. > :08:49.The 65 and overs had the biggest turnout of nearly 80%.

:08:50. > :08:54.On social media, some celebrities have been focusing on young voters,

:08:55. > :08:58.urging 18-24-year-olds not just to register but to take

:08:59. > :09:03.The question is will it make a difference

:09:04. > :09:12.The answer, well, you'll have to wait around seven weeks for that.

:09:13. > :09:17.Frankie McCamley, BBC London News, Elephant and Castle.

:09:18. > :09:21.It's quite literally the "big day" for one marathon runner this Sunday.

:09:22. > :09:23.Jackie Scully from Greenwich was diagnosed with breast

:09:24. > :09:30.She and her fiance plan on getting married aboard the Cutty Sark

:09:31. > :09:32.before the race, which she'll then run

:09:33. > :09:37.We're running for Willow Foundation and Breast Cancer Care,

:09:38. > :09:40.both of which gave us back our smile.

:09:41. > :09:44.They reminded us that yes, while you are a cancer patient

:09:45. > :09:48.and you have to deal with surgery and drugs and treatment,

:09:49. > :09:51.you also have to be a human being and a fiancee and a woman

:09:52. > :09:53.with young, with dreams and ambitions.

:09:54. > :09:58.They gave me the chance to be the person my fiance

:09:59. > :10:03.I'll say goodnight and hand you over to Nick Miller

:10:04. > :10:13.It's looking OK for the marathon on Sunday but it is not going to be too

:10:14. > :10:17.warm and I'm sure the runners will appreciate that. Tomorrow, more

:10:18. > :10:21.clout compared with today. I have said mainly dry because there may be

:10:22. > :10:25.the odd spot of rain around but nowhere near as much as many of us

:10:26. > :10:28.would like on the garden. Overnight, some clear spells around and

:10:29. > :10:33.temperatures dipping away but it is not going to be quite as chilly as

:10:34. > :10:37.it was this morning tomorrow morning. Still expecting mid single

:10:38. > :10:41.figures in some spots. Tomorrow, yes, more clout around although

:10:42. > :10:44.there will be breaks allowing some sunshine to come through at times,

:10:45. > :10:48.especially in the morning. The cloud will increase and again, a chance of

:10:49. > :10:52.the odd spot of rain may be into the Chilterns. Not amounting to very

:10:53. > :10:56.much. Feeling a bit less fresh tomorrow and temperatures around 15

:10:57. > :11:00.degrees. Friday, a good deal of cloud around and we will keep it

:11:01. > :11:02.going into the weekend as well. A similar story across the UK. Thomas

:11:03. > :11:13.matter has that story. Good evening, before we get to the

:11:14. > :11:16.forecast, I want to show you a map which depicts how dry it has been

:11:17. > :11:17.during the course of
