:00:48. > :00:52.Isaac lived on the 18th floor at Grenfell Tower.
:00:53. > :00:54.He tried to escape but got separated from his family.
:00:55. > :00:59.His body was found on the 13th floor.
:01:00. > :01:02.Other pupils in his school managed to escape.
:01:03. > :01:07.We are absolutely devastated as a school community.
:01:08. > :01:10.The reception class that he was in, it feels there is something missing
:01:11. > :01:17.We are trying our best to support families and to look out for those
:01:18. > :01:24.Johnny Regassa helped Isaac's younger brother to safety
:01:25. > :01:29.but he lost his best friend in the fight.
:01:30. > :01:32.I tried to be strong, to go back to work, but I couldn't.
:01:33. > :01:35.So still we are emotional, even myself, I'm still emotional.
:01:36. > :01:47.As for those who can't bury their loved ones

:01:50. > :01:54.to say goodbye and keep the tragedy in people's thoughts.
:01:55. > :01:57.A month on, residents and people from the local community have come
:01:58. > :02:00.together for a silent march to show support and remember that night that

:02:08. > :02:16.And a few miles away, another funeral, for 82-year-old Ali Jafari.

:02:24. > :02:33.Well, this evening volunteers who've been working with the community
:02:34. > :02:37.since the fire invited the media to hear more about how they've been
:02:38. > :02:40.Claudia-Liza Armah was there and joins me now.
:02:41. > :02:50.As you said, it has been a month since the fire and organisers
:02:51. > :02:53.thought it was a fitting time to speak to the media and explain
:02:54. > :02:59.exactly what they have been doing on the ground. Fittingly it was held in
:03:00. > :03:06.a storage unit where some of the donations are being held in that the
:03:07. > :03:12.growth and residents of the Grenfell fire with their brother the Labour
:03:13. > :03:17.MP was there. I spoke to the main organiser and find out exactly what
:03:18. > :03:23.he wanted from tonight. It's the right time really for us to come to
:03:24. > :03:28.the table and tell our story, from the grassroots, the people at the
:03:29. > :03:32.ground. There's a lot of pain, a lot of trauma, a lot of grief in the
:03:33. > :03:43.butt out of the Ashes has risen something very unique and special --
:03:44. > :03:47.but out of the Ashes. One of the big issues was donations and they
:03:48. > :03:51.explained how they were handing out donations, food and toiletries, to
:03:52. > :03:54.residents but still very unhappy that the donations from the Red
:03:55. > :03:57.Cross are being sold in charity shops and they believe those
:03:58. > :04:00.donations should go back in the community. Thank you.
:04:01. > :04:03.A warning tonight that a growing number of people could contract
:04:04. > :04:05.cancer from their exposure to asbestos in hospitals.
:04:06. > :04:07.BBC London has obtained figures showing 94% of London hospital
:04:08. > :04:13.The NHS argues it's safe as long as the material is not disturbed.
:04:14. > :04:20.Doctor Andrew Lawson wrote about his condition in 2010.
:04:21. > :04:27.He had been suffering with Mesothelioma, a type of lung
:04:28. > :04:36.cancer caused by breathing in asbestos dust.
:04:37. > :04:41.I feel that it's terrible that somebody gets cheated
:04:42. > :04:44.He was only halfway through his life.
:04:45. > :04:46.Andrew says he contracted it whilst training at Guy's Hospital,
:04:47. > :04:49.a claim that the NHS Trust refuses to be drawn on.
:04:50. > :04:51.White asbestos, the type in hospitals, has been deemed safe,
:04:52. > :04:55.But experts disagree and warn its presence in hospitals
:04:56. > :05:02.The numbers of people developing Mesothelioma in this country
:05:03. > :05:13.And the expected peak has been exceeded several times already.
:05:14. > :05:15.So the prediction of when numbers of Mesothelioma cases
:05:16. > :05:18.are going to peak has been moved forward several times since I've
:05:19. > :05:22.There are now calls for the government to urgently remove
:05:23. > :05:30.We know that it is likely at some time in the future it will be
:05:31. > :05:32.responsible for the deaths of members of the public
:05:33. > :05:38.According to the latest figures, a thousand people from London
:05:39. > :05:41.died of Mesothelioma between 2011 and 2015.
:05:42. > :05:46.Seven victims were nurses and doctors but it is believed
:05:47. > :05:51.the true number of hospital workers affected is far higher.
:05:52. > :05:54.It comes as BBC London has learned from a Freedom of Information
:05:55. > :06:00.request that 94% of the capital's hospitals still contain asbestos.
:06:01. > :06:03.Andrew was typical of Mesothelioma sufferers.
:06:04. > :06:06.It took years for his symptoms to show.
:06:07. > :06:08.Once diagnosed, most people are only expected to live
:06:09. > :06:17.They all knew, we all know about the dangers of asbestos
:06:18. > :06:20.but they simply failed to take enough action to remove the risk
