:00:12. > :00:18.A 15-year-old boy stabbed to death outside the gates of his school has

:00:19. > :00:27.He was attacked as he waited at a bus stop, then fled

:00:28. > :00:29.towards Capital City Academy in Kensal Green before collapsing

:00:30. > :00:40.Nick, what more can you tell us about this attack?

:00:41. > :00:45.This happened at about 3.30 yesterday afternoon, a time when

:00:46. > :00:52.hundreds of pupils at the school behind me were streaming out about

:00:53. > :00:54.200 metres down the road, we know that a 15-year-old pupil, Quamari

:00:55. > :00:59.Barnes, was about key test for a distant and was reportedly heard to

:01:00. > :01:02.say, he's going to stab me. We know he was then attacked and despite the

:01:03. > :01:07.efforts of paramedics who got here quickly, he could not be saved.

:01:08. > :01:10.Today, pupils have been leaving tributes to him. You can see there

:01:11. > :01:14.are some 50 bouquets of flowers that have been left. There are

:01:15. > :01:25.photographs and messages. One note said

:01:26. > :01:29.simply, you stood up for me when no one else did. We also spoke to

:01:30. > :01:32.another close friend of his earlier today, and he gave us a sense of his

:01:33. > :01:33.shock and disbelief at what had happened.

:01:34. > :01:37.He was the most loved person in the whole of our school, like.

:01:38. > :01:38.It's just emotional, because every day...

:01:39. > :01:41.Just today, we were all around the tables, having fun.

:01:42. > :01:43.Today I gave him a hug and said, get home safely.

:01:44. > :01:47.And today out of all days, I come out of school and see

:01:48. > :01:51.All these teenagers out here are running around with knives

:01:52. > :01:58.That's why we need to change our perception of everyone thinking

:01:59. > :02:01.teenagers are bad and all this and all that.

:02:02. > :02:12.What have police said about the attack? There have been police

:02:13. > :02:15.officers here at the score all morning and some are still

:02:16. > :02:19.patrolling the premises as we speak. Murder squad detectives are

:02:20. > :02:23.obviously leading this investigation, and they are

:02:24. > :02:27.appealing directly to pupils of this school and also to their parents,

:02:28. > :02:31.asking them for any information, because they believe that can be

:02:32. > :02:34.vital in solving this case. We know they have been carrying out

:02:35. > :02:38.door-to-door inquiries and trying to piece together as much information

:02:39. > :02:42.as possible. In terms of the school year, the headteacher has been paid

:02:43. > :02:47.tribute to his 15-year-old pupil who died. We know that the majority of

:02:48. > :02:51.the pupils here have left for the day now. Some have been picked up,

:02:52. > :02:55.others have made their way home. And counselling is available to them.

:02:56. > :02:58.The boy who died yesterday is in fact the second teenager to be

:02:59. > :03:02.stabbed to death in London this year. The first was attacked and

:03:03. > :03:06.killed last Friday. There have been no arrests in this case, but the

:03:07. > :03:07.police are, as I say, appealing for witnesses.

:03:08. > :03:12.London's four largest sexual health clinics saw a 40% reduction

:03:13. > :03:15.in new HIV diagnoses last year - the largest seen in London

:03:16. > :03:17.since the beginning of the HIV and Aids epidemic.

:03:18. > :03:21.Experts say the decline could be due to the drug called PrEP, as BBC

:03:22. > :03:33.Every day, Jason takes these pills. But they haven't been prescribed by

:03:34. > :03:39.the doctor. These are called PrEP and were bought on the internet. He

:03:40. > :03:43.says they are saving his life. It was quite tricky to find, and I

:03:44. > :03:48.wasn't sure about how genuine the product was that I was purchasing.

:03:49. > :03:52.But I had to go to extremes to protect myself. Last year, four of

:03:53. > :03:56.London's leading sexual health to lick saw the greatest reduction in

:03:57. > :03:59.new HIV diagnoses they have seen since the beginning of the epidemic

:04:00. > :04:04.in the 1980s. Experts are advising that it may be due to this drug. So

:04:05. > :04:09.how does the drug worked? Well, trials have shown that the drug

:04:10. > :04:12.prevents HIV from being passed from one person to another, and that is

:04:13. > :04:19.why some experts say that this drug is a game changer against the

:04:20. > :04:23.disease. PrEP is a very effective prevention strategy. I wouldn't say

:04:24. > :04:26.it is a wonder drug, because nothing in isolation is the answer when it

:04:27. > :04:30.comes to preventing HIV transmission. PrEP has given us an

:04:31. > :04:34.effective additional tool to combine with the other tools we had which

:04:35. > :04:39.were not working. It is currently not available on the NHS. Until that

:04:40. > :04:45.happens, thousands of the capital's gay men are turning to the web to

:04:46. > :04:50.buy the drug. About 35,000 Londoners have visited our site in the last 12

:04:51. > :04:54.months. We have effectively created a community health care system that

:04:55. > :04:58.sits outside our national health care system. At the end of last

:04:59. > :05:01.year, the NHS lost a high-profile court case, meaning the drug will be

:05:02. > :05:04.made available on the NHS in the future. In a statement, NHS England

:05:05. > :05:22.said: until PrEP is available on the NHS,

:05:23. > :05:24.Jason and many other gay men will continue to access the drug from

:05:25. > :05:27.sites selling it on the internet. There was major disruption

:05:28. > :05:29.for commuters in south London this morning after a freight train

:05:30. > :05:32.derailed, causing massive delays. Two carriages came off

:05:33. > :05:34.a Southeastern track in Lewisham, causing services to be suspended,

:05:35. > :05:40.cancelled or diverted. Passengers faced tough journeys

:05:41. > :05:43.into work, while thousands continue to face disruption,

:05:44. > :05:45.with warnings that all Plans for a new home for the Museum

:05:46. > :05:50.of London in West Smithfield's disused market have received

:05:51. > :05:53.a multi-million pound boost today. The City of London Corporation

:05:54. > :05:57.pledged to give ?110 million, while the the Mayor of London's

:05:58. > :06:02.office will give 70 million. It puts plans to open the new museum

:06:03. > :06:05.by 2022 back on track, From a forgotten part of Farringdon

:06:06. > :06:09.to London's first 24 hour museum. the people behind the Museum

:06:10. > :06:15.of London have grand ambitions. We'll be able to put on more

:06:16. > :06:20.exhibitions, more collections, bring more things out of our stores,

:06:21. > :06:24.have great programmes, and I want us

:06:25. > :06:27.to be a 24 hour museum. The old market at West Smithfield

:06:28. > :06:30.will become home to the 6 million items currently down the road

:06:31. > :06:34.at the old Museum of London. With a ?70 million slice

:06:35. > :06:37.coming from City Hall, this is the largest cultural

:06:38. > :06:41.investment made by a London mayor. It's a project designed

:06:42. > :06:44.to build legacies. I campaigned saying I wanted to make

:06:45. > :06:48.sure culture was a top priority. I think culture is in the DNA

:06:49. > :06:52.of our city, it's the glue We will have this museum,

:06:53. > :06:57.not just the best of the last we'll go back 400,000 years.

:06:58. > :07:01.It's going to be fantastic. Three years ago, a project to turn

:07:02. > :07:08.the site into shops was blocked despite being backed by the very

:07:09. > :07:10.people who today dipped their hands into their pockets

:07:11. > :07:17.to the tune of ?10 million. It was called in by

:07:18. > :07:19.the Secretary of State, We have to accept that decision

:07:20. > :07:24.and we've now made the best of it by buying the building

:07:25. > :07:25.for the museum. There's been a market

:07:26. > :07:28.here for a thousand years. and that all-important

:07:29. > :07:30.planning application, that this building could last

:07:31. > :07:39.a thousand years more. It was another cold and frosty

:07:40. > :07:46.start this morning, with all that fog as well,

:07:47. > :07:50.freezing fog across the board. You could barely see

:07:51. > :07:52.anything, as you can see It's still a bit misty here and

:07:53. > :08:00.there, but blue sky and sunshine. It really has turned

:08:01. > :08:02.into a lovely day. Yes, it's still cold,

:08:03. > :08:04.but we have plenty of sunshine. There are still one or two

:08:05. > :08:09.spots where the mist and fog is still lingering,

:08:10. > :08:18.but most of it is gradually starting to lift for a bright afternoon,

:08:19. > :08:20.but temperatures are struggling. The Met Office has a yellow weather

:08:21. > :08:24.warning, the first one for fog This is overnight tonight

:08:25. > :08:27.and through to tomorrow morning. Again, it's a bit of

:08:28. > :08:29.a repeat performance The sun sets and the temperature

:08:30. > :08:33.drops down below zero in some spots, And with temperatures as low

:08:34. > :08:42.as they are, that fog could freeze. There are some tricky driving

:08:43. > :08:45.conditions overnight The fog is likely to lift quicker

:08:46. > :08:52.through the course of tomorrow, It looks like a predominantly

:08:53. > :08:56.grey day on the whole. Temperatures are again

:08:57. > :08:58.going to struggle. We're looking at low single

:08:59. > :09:00.figures as a maximum. As we head further through the week,

:09:01. > :09:07.we hang on to a little bit of this cold air,

:09:08. > :09:14.so another cold night Wednesday into Thursday,

:09:15. > :09:16.and a cold day. The breeze starts to pick up

:09:17. > :09:17.as we head through Thursday, Riz will be here with our

:09:18. > :09:22.6:30 evening programme. But for now, from us all,

:09:23. > :09:44.a very good afternoon. TV: He's not your father.

:09:45. > :09:57.WOMAN GASPS so why not pay your TV licence in

:09:58. > :10:15.weekly instalments, too? You might get the impression

:10:16. > :10:19.that history is just a record
