:00:00. > 3:59:59of Japan and the North Korean leader watched as it was launched.

:00:00. > :00:13.That's all from the BBC News at One so it's goodbye from me

:00:14. > :00:20.A manhunt's under way for a dangerous prisoner

:00:21. > :00:24.just a few months into a nine-year sentence for stabbing

:00:25. > :00:28.25-year-old Ralston Dodd knifed his victim three times

:00:29. > :00:33.Our home affairs correspondent, Nick Beake, is here.

:00:34. > :00:45.This is an embarrassing blunder by the courts because Ralston Dodd was

:00:46. > :00:49.on the run for nearly a month after the attack last year. Eventually, he

:00:50. > :00:55.was caught and Blackfriars Crown Court in November, he was sentenced

:00:56. > :00:58.to nine years in prison. The Met Police have described it as an

:00:59. > :01:03.appalling act of violence, the victim nearly died. However, the

:01:04. > :01:06.court apparently recorded the judge's sentence as being nine

:01:07. > :01:11.months, rather than nine years. In line with the way the system works,

:01:12. > :01:16.after serving half of the nine-month sentence, he was apparently

:01:17. > :01:20.released. Now Ralston Dodd was being held at HMP Thamesside in the

:01:21. > :01:25.borough of Greenwich. The Ministry of Justice which runs the courts and

:01:26. > :01:29.prisons says it is urgently investigating. In a statement, it

:01:30. > :01:34.said releases in error are extremely rare but we take any case very

:01:35. > :01:37.seriously, we are urgently investigating so we learn the

:01:38. > :01:41.lessons to prevent it happening again, and they went on to say,

:01:42. > :01:46.public protection is our priority. You mentioned the investigation,

:01:47. > :01:48.what happens now? The police try to find him again? Absolutely. A

:01:49. > :02:03.warrant for his arrest has again been issued. The Met say they

:02:04. > :02:06.want any information to find him. His picture is there, 5'9" tall,

:02:07. > :02:09.medium build, brown eyes. It is not known what he was wearing when he

:02:10. > :02:11.was released. If you look at the way it works, the timeline, he has

:02:12. > :02:15.probably been out for at least ten days. The Met are saying if people

:02:16. > :02:42.spot him, they should call 909. Do not approach him, he is a violent

:02:43. > :02:45.man. The Sun reports the victim has spotted him since he has been out,

:02:46. > :02:47.imagine, the victim is not at all imagine, the victim is not

:02:48. > :02:47.one man hunt they should not be pleased with this. The Met

:02:48. > :02:48.having to carry out and it is down having to carry out and it is

:02:49. > :02:48.to this blunder at court. Thanks to this blunder at court. Thanks

:02:49. > :02:52.very much. The family of a murdered schoolboy

:02:53. > :02:55.say his killer showed no remorse as he was found guilty

:02:56. > :02:57.of murder last week. Quamari Serunkuma-Barnes was stabbed

:02:58. > :02:59.in Willesden in January by a 15-year-old with a string

:03:00. > :03:01.of convictions for If he showed any form of remorse

:03:02. > :03:05.of what he had done, I would still be feeling that,

:03:06. > :03:07.do you know what, this boy has been let down somewhere

:03:08. > :03:10.along the line, terrible, but he didn't show that, no

:03:11. > :03:12.compassion whatsoever. It would have given us a sense

:03:13. > :03:15.of relief if he was sorry for what he had done, but it doesn't

:03:16. > :03:19.seem like he was sorry, so it makes The RSPCA is urging the public

:03:20. > :03:22.to help find those responsible for dumping a dying dog which had

:03:23. > :03:25.suffered some of the worst in Hertfordshire, emaciated,

:03:26. > :03:35.infected and unable to walk. Her nails were so overgrown,

:03:36. > :03:38.some had curled round three times Vets say it's amazing

:03:39. > :03:41.she's survived. Rail passengers that use Thameslink

:03:42. > :03:44.and Great Northern services will now be able to get automatic

:03:45. > :03:46.compensation for delays It will only apply to those

:03:47. > :03:53.who use the key smartcard. The system will also be rolled out

:03:54. > :03:56.onto Southern and Gatwick Express She recruited a million women

:03:57. > :04:02.to help with the war effort in World War Two,

:04:03. > :04:05.changing they way they were Now Lady Stella Reading has been

:04:06. > :04:10.honoured in Westminster for founding Victoria Hollins has been speaking

:04:11. > :04:15.to the charity's ambassador, And she inspired all these women

:04:16. > :04:38.to set to and help during the war. And she said that voluntary service

:04:39. > :04:40.really meant that women would give their skill,

:04:41. > :04:42.time and energy to a Why is it, do you think, important

:04:43. > :04:59.to recognise her with a blue plaque, like we have seen today,

:05:00. > :05:01.with your head Well, it's thrilling to see the blue

:05:02. > :05:08.plaque up, it's about time. Next year, they celebrate 80 years,

:05:09. > :05:11.which is quite something. The tradition that really

:05:12. > :05:19.was inspired by Lady Stella Well, playing at Wimbledon in front

:05:20. > :05:30.of thousands of people and millions more on TV is probably

:05:31. > :05:32.nerve-wracking enough, but what about being one

:05:33. > :05:35.of the ball boys or girls? Each year, around 250

:05:36. > :05:37.youngsters from London Chris Slegg has been to see them

:05:38. > :05:51.in training for their big moment. Wimbledon would not be Wimbledon

:05:52. > :06:00.without the ball boys and four girls. -- ball girls. The training

:06:01. > :06:06.begins months before the tournament itself. More than 800 apply and

:06:07. > :06:10.around 250 make it through the Wimbledon. They have been training

:06:11. > :06:19.for two and a half hours a week since February. The key quality they

:06:20. > :06:24.need to show is concentration. I found they found it quite difficult

:06:25. > :06:28.in training. The training is really rigorous, so we make sure they are

:06:29. > :06:31.focusing purely on what is going on, they are not watching the game,

:06:32. > :06:36.using their peripheral vision to know when they are supposed to be

:06:37. > :06:39.fielding. Because the training is so tough, it prepares them. Around

:06:40. > :06:43.three quarters are newcomers. Some have even had the honour of not just

:06:44. > :06:49.working on Wimbledon but on the final itself. I was told on the

:06:50. > :06:53.morning of the final, it was an amazing feeling. I knew my hard work

:06:54. > :06:57.had paid off. You obviously pretty good at this. Have you ever made a

:06:58. > :07:02.mistake? I have made a few mistakes, mistake? I have made a few mistakes,

:07:03. > :07:11.yes. Before I go on court, they are nerves, but I tried to turn it into

:07:12. > :07:14.inspiring excitement. We get put into teams of six and you really get

:07:15. > :07:47.to know them and work well together. If the pressure was not already on,

:07:48. > :07:48.some of them got to meet the Duchess of Cambridge yesterday and

:07:49. > :07:48.praised them for their praised them for

:07:49. > :07:49.professionalism. Walking around, it professionalism. Walking

:07:50. > :07:49.posture and presence on court, some posture and

:07:50. > :07:50.of them are slouching at the start of them are slouching

:07:51. > :07:52.of training, quite a proud moment. of training, quite a proud moment.

:07:53. > :07:53.Time to put all they have learnt into action. What a moment for them!

:07:54. > :07:54.Someone else is at Wimbledon today. Overlooking Henman hill,

:07:55. > :07:59.Mount. Whatever we call it these Mount. Whatever we call it these

:08:00. > :08:02.days! It is looking very nice. A bit of cloud in the sky. We're not

:08:03. > :08:07.today because is going to be a today because is going to be a

:08:08. > :08:12.largely dry day here and increasingly sunny. This afternoon

:08:13. > :08:52.at SW19 and elsewhere across London and the house counties, there will

:08:53. > :08:53.should get up to 25, maybe 26 should get up to 25, maybe

:08:55. > :08:56.evening and overnight, it will be quite muggy. Bits and pieces of

:08:57. > :08:57.cloud coming and going. Dry and cloud coming and going. Dry

:08:58. > :08:58.clear spells. Temperatures at their clear spells. Temperatures at their

:08:59. > :09:01.lowest, 17, 18. Uncomfortable again lowest, 17, 18. Uncomfortable

:09:12. > :09:15.outlook is for the showers to continue in the early part of
