:00:19. > :00:27.Using a sledgehammer, the men smashed their way

:00:28. > :00:29.through Joya-Lukkas jewellers in Forest Gate in east London

:00:30. > :00:31.in a raid detectives have described as audacious.

:00:32. > :00:36.Unsophisticated, but effective, three men crawl into the East London

:00:37. > :00:42.jewellers and leave with ?1.8 million worth of jewellery.

:00:43. > :00:44.To get inside, they've smashed a hole big

:00:45. > :00:47.enough using a sledgehammer and a crowbar in the early hours of the

:00:48. > :00:51.It is a cruder, less lucrative version of the ?40 million

:00:52. > :01:05.This is an unusual method to conduct a burglary, and they may have been

:01:06. > :01:09.inspired by the incident at Hatton Garden that led them to use this

:01:10. > :01:12.option to gain entrance to the property.

:01:13. > :01:14.The jewellers specialise in Asian gold

:01:15. > :01:19.and diamond necklaces, pendants and earrings.

:01:20. > :01:23.It was unusual because of the value of the property stolen and also

:01:24. > :01:26.because they were underneath the scope of the alarm system and also

:01:27. > :01:30.because they have smashed this large hole through the real wall of the

:01:31. > :01:34.premises. And so they crawled along the floor and managed to evade it?

:01:35. > :01:37.Yes, it is quite clear by the CCTV that they have not been captured by

:01:38. > :01:38.the alarm system because they have crawled underneath.

:01:39. > :01:45.Police are now looking for eight suspects - three who went

:01:46. > :01:48.inside and five who acted as lookouts in the ten hours running up

:01:57. > :01:59.Major engineering works are taking place effecting several services

:02:00. > :02:04.Sarah Harris has more from London Bridge.

:02:05. > :02:08.So this is the message if you're planning to take the train anywhere

:02:09. > :02:11.in London over this bank holiday weekend - plan ahead.

:02:12. > :02:14.And with me for more of those details is Simon from

:02:15. > :02:31.So there's a lot of work to do, isn't there?

:02:32. > :02:33.Just take us through some of it, here particularly

:02:34. > :02:41.Yeah, so here at London Bridge, we have the next stage

:02:42. > :02:44.of the Thames Link programme, where we are realigning some of the tracks

:02:45. > :02:46.outside the station, bringing new platform six

:02:47. > :02:49.into operation for Charing Cross passengers, which will be open

:02:50. > :02:52.on Sunday the 3rd of September, so we are here for eight days.

:02:53. > :02:54.There will be an impact on train services,

:02:55. > :02:59.for which we apologise in advance to customers.

:03:00. > :03:07.Euston is closed, there is disruption all over London.

:03:08. > :03:09.Why this particular weekend for all of the...

:03:10. > :03:12.I mean, it is obvious for the bank holiday people coming here, but why

:03:13. > :03:24.Why did you decide to have different works going on in the same

:03:25. > :03:27.Clearly, August bank holiday is a time when

:03:28. > :03:28.there is lower travel on the network.

:03:29. > :03:31.A lot of people are away on their holidays, and therefore we

:03:32. > :03:34.often choose these bank holiday weekends to do our major engineering

:03:35. > :03:37.We recognise there will be some disruption of our customers.

:03:38. > :03:40.It is a lower number of people that are

:03:41. > :03:42.impacted, so hence the amount of work that we're doing over this

:03:43. > :03:45.weekend, not just here at London Bridge but also at Euston, at

:03:46. > :03:47.Waterloo and other major centres around the country.

:03:48. > :03:52.So the main thing is it is not impossible to travel

:03:53. > :03:54.across London by train this bank holiday weekend, but definitely

:03:55. > :04:00.Police say a woman who made a string of false sexual assault allegations

:04:45. > :04:45.to help immigrants integrate into society.

:04:46. > :04:47.Mr Umunna, who chairs the All-Party-Parliamentary Group

:04:48. > :04:49.on 'Social Integration' says the anti-immigrant rhetoric of last

:04:50. > :04:51.year's Brexit campaign is making it harder for new arrivals.

:04:52. > :04:53.He's renewing calls for the government to make

:04:54. > :04:58.Councillors in Kensington and Chelsea have agreed

:04:59. > :05:01.a ?76 million pound package to help people who lost their homes

:05:02. > :05:04.?40 million will go towards buying homes from private social

:05:05. > :05:09.while money's also being set aside to compensate people who owned

:05:10. > :05:12.On the 5th anniversary of the London 2012 Paralympic Games,

:05:13. > :05:15.there are claims it left no positive legacy for disabled people.

:05:16. > :05:17.Research from the disability charity Scope shows despite the success

:05:18. > :05:19.of the games themselves, there's been little change

:05:20. > :05:22.in the way disabled people feel they're treated by society

:05:23. > :05:31.In an attempt to make theatre accessible for all,

:06:21. > :06:22.theatre for children with profound learning disabilities.

:06:23. > :06:23.This is their first for deaf-blind children.

:06:24. > :06:26.Well, if we can't relate to them by those

:06:27. > :06:35.There's a sense of movement that they have

:06:36. > :06:37.come a kinaesthetic sense, so we often use movable seating.

:06:38. > :06:39.And the cast of Kubla Khan aim to create a

:06:40. > :06:42.stately pleasure dome by interacting with the children using water, sand,

:06:43. > :06:46.I mean, it's just an honour to kind of

:06:47. > :06:49.do it and get to have this communication with these kids,

:06:50. > :06:55.And music also has a crucial role to play.

:06:56. > :07:00.People don't just hear with their ears.

:07:01. > :07:03.Some people say as much as 60% of what you hear you pick up

:07:04. > :07:12.The vibrations are an essential part and then how you play with those

:07:13. > :07:14.textures so that you can actually feel dumb and you can almost swim

:07:15. > :07:15.through them. both on the children

:07:16. > :07:21.and their parents. What bit did James

:07:22. > :07:24.particularly like, then? I think he liked the moving

:07:25. > :07:26.water, definitely Because he loves bath time,

:07:27. > :07:33.so he can relate to that It's not very often

:08:04. > :08:07.beautiful weather ahead for the bank holiday weekend. April start of the

:08:08. > :08:10.morning with some mist. That did not last long and it is replaced with

:08:11. > :08:16.blue sky and sunshine and that is what we have for the rest of the

:08:17. > :08:20.afternoon. It will stay dry. Temperatures will peak at a little

:08:21. > :08:24.bit higher than they were yesterday at around 25 Celsius. A lovely day

:08:25. > :08:28.with brightness around and the sun will set around 8pm tonight.

:08:29. > :08:33.Tonight, we will see some cloud drifting in from the west. Northern

:08:34. > :08:37.Home Counties may start off on a bit of an overcast no tomorrow. Don't be

:08:38. > :08:42.to put off by that cloud. For many others, it will be a sunny start as

:08:43. > :08:45.well. Lows of 15 Celsius, so a mild start to the bank holiday weekend

:08:46. > :08:48.and it is going to be glorious at times. It will stay dry. There will

:08:49. > :08:52.be plenty of sunshine around. Perhaps a little more in the way of

:08:53. > :08:56.cloud on Sunday but we should stay dry and it will feel warm in the

:08:57. > :09:01.sunshine. Temperatures in the mid-20s. For some of us, a cloudy

:09:02. > :09:04.start, particularly towards the North on Saturday. It won't take

:09:05. > :09:10.long before the sunshine break through. A lovely, sunny afternoon.
