:00:36. > :00:38.Dan, the Met are hoping an image they're releasing will help

:00:51. > :00:54.of the man they believe was responsible for Mr Al-Ali's death.
:00:55. > :01:00.It has opinion aged 30 years artificially. You can see what they

:01:07. > :01:10.Kuwaiti newspaper was shot here in Knightsbridge on 22nd July 1987.
:01:11. > :01:18.No-one's ever been convicted of his myrrhed. The gun used was only found

:01:37. > :01:39.them now to speak to us. The police in particular do not

:02:20. > :02:23.want to revisit that. What is clear amongst this uncertainty is this was
:02:24. > :02:28.a political assassination. While they look for that victim, they will
:02:29. > :02:29.be looking along those lines in terms of who committed this time 30

:02:40. > :02:43.to have been in his 30s, was killed in Camden Road in Lower
:02:44. > :02:49.Holloway just after 6am. Four months after a 14-metre
:02:50. > :02:52.sinkhole opened up on a high street there's criticism over how long
:02:53. > :02:58.it's taking to repair. The road is still closed,
:02:59. > :03:01.affecting buses, access to people's homes
:03:02. > :03:03.and businesses. Locals say there's also been a lack
:03:04. > :03:17.of information about what caused it. This is High Street Green in Hemel,
:03:18. > :03:21.a major road through the town and normally absolutely teeming with
:03:22. > :03:26.traffic. On May 12th, a small hole appeared. Chen engineers
:03:27. > :03:29.investigated, they found underneath was a huge tunnel-shaped sinkhole at
:03:30. > :03:33.least eight metres deep and six metres long. Four months on and no
:03:34. > :03:37.work's been done to repair it and people round here haven't been told
:03:38. > :03:43.what caused it or when it will be repaired. They're furious. I pass
:03:44. > :03:47.here every day on my way into work. At the beginning of the week I walk
:03:48. > :03:51.down here and over the past go or three months I've seen nothing being
:03:52. > :03:55.done. The last time was about three months ago when they were putting
:03:56. > :04:02.the fences up. This is the state of it now. Often enough, you'll see
:04:03. > :04:08.kids trying to throw sticks into the hole and having a look. It becomes
:04:09. > :04:11.slightly dangerous. I became seriously worried a couple of weeks
:04:12. > :04:18.ago To find it is pushing towards the flats. This is a sinkhole that
:04:19. > :04:23.opened up in Hemel on 2014 on the site of an old mine cavity.
:04:24. > :04:28.Hertfordshire County Council says it is trying to find out how this
:04:29. > :04:34.sinkhole appeared and when it will be repaired. They admit nearly four
:04:35. > :04:36.months on they don't know how the ground sank here or when residents
:04:37. > :04:41.will have their road open General. A city full of drones, electric
:04:42. > :04:45.vehicles and under-used roads That's one vision of how
:04:46. > :04:48.London will look in 2050. As a part of our new series, we're
:04:49. > :04:51.looking at the future of London. Today, our correspondent
:04:52. > :05:06.Tom Edwards looks at transport. Could flying cars be the future of
:05:07. > :05:10.transport in cities? This is the latest sky if I Braid-runners film.
:05:11. > :05:14.Or could jet packs revolutionise travel? Probably not. There are
:05:15. > :05:20.plenty of of ideas that don't make it. Remember this conversation in
:05:21. > :05:24.three or four years' time, every... This is more likely. Mark has an
:05:25. > :05:30.electric car. The plan is for all vehicles in London to be zero
:05:31. > :05:37.emissions by 2050. Our kids will not know what an engine sounds like. An
:05:38. > :05:43.rev in years to come. There is no reason why people won't go electric.
:05:44. > :05:46.You can see with the upsell of electric cars it will be the way
:05:47. > :05:50.forward. The big challenge for city planners will be a growing
:05:51. > :05:56.population and increasing demands on limited space. It is predicted in 25
:05:57. > :06:04.years' time, the population of London will be 10.5 million. That
:06:05. > :06:07.will mean increased investment in infrastructure, Crossrail 2,
:06:08. > :06:14.Crossrail 3, perhaps even Crossrail 4. At the transport museum there are
:06:15. > :06:21.all kinds of concepts of the future. These are T bottoms. They designate
:06:22. > :06:29.road space. This car stores while in the in use. Could drones play a
:06:30. > :06:35.part? In the 1900s they thought commutes would be be done by air.
:06:36. > :06:39.Mobility by a service means you use apps and smartphones to call up
:06:40. > :06:45.vehicles to where you are. Some people say that means in the future
:06:46. > :06:50.we won't need to vetty own cars. The question is, what does that mean for
:06:51. > :06:54.the capital's streets? We are already seeing trials of driverless
:06:55. > :06:57.vehicles in the capital. Will autumnation make the roads, buses
:06:58. > :07:03.and trains run safer and quicker? What would that mean if there are
:07:04. > :07:07.fewer vehicles? One interesting statistic is the average car today
:07:08. > :07:11.is parked for 95% of its lifetime. Most cars are hardly ever used. You
:07:12. > :07:15.see that in London. The streets are filled with parked cars. In the
:07:16. > :07:20.future, if we stop buying the cars we don't need and only use mobility
:07:21. > :07:25.as a service, it could be we free up a lot of road space for other uses
:07:26. > :07:30.whether that's walking, cycling, more cafes, shops, restaurants. You
:07:31. > :07:36.foment it. There's room on board for a passenger. This is another idea
:07:37. > :07:40.that didn't make it. Nonetheless, innovation and investment will be
:07:41. > :07:43.key for the future of London's transport. It would certainly make
:07:44. > :07:47.the morning comUtah bit more interesting. After a warm but not to
:07:48. > :07:51.sunny start, let's check on the weather.
:07:52. > :07:58.Another very warm day today. We are seeing a bit more in the way of
:07:59. > :08:03.cloud. A stunning picture here captured by one of our weather
:08:04. > :08:07.watchers in plum stead. You can see there is quite a lot of cloud
:08:08. > :08:11.through the next few hours. Some breaks for brightness and sunshine
:08:12. > :08:14.but the odd outbreak of rain. Temperatures getting up to 27
:08:15. > :08:18.Celsius for South East London. But the further north-west you go, the
:08:19. > :08:22.lower those temperatures are. Still up to about 24 degrees. We may see a
:08:23. > :08:27.bit of thundery activity later on as well. Through the night, further
:08:28. > :08:31.outbreaks of rain. More in the way of cloud. A northerly breeze picking
:08:32. > :08:34.up. Temperatures about 13 or 14 Celsius. Tomorrow will feel very
:08:35. > :08:39.different. Quite a lot of cloud around. There will be some
:08:40. > :08:45.brightness. Even some sunny spells A fair bit of rain as well. It will be
:08:46. > :08:50.fairly heavy at types. Temperatures only up to 16 Celsius in some spots
:08:51. > :08:54.and 14 in other areas. It will feel very different. By Thursday morning,
:08:55. > :08:59.we'll see the back of that rain. It should brighten up to sunny spells.
:09:00. > :09:03.A largely dry day with a few showers around. Friday a similar picture.
:09:04. > :09:06.Looking like a fairly fine weekend. Those temperatures where they should
:09:07. > :09:07.be for the time of year, closer to 20 Celsius.
:09:08. > :09:09.That's all we've got time for this lunchtime.
:09:10. > :09:11.But hopefully you can join Asad at 6.30pm this evening.
:09:12. > :09:16.Until then, as always, you can stay up to date through our website.
