:00:17. > :00:19.Two teenage boys are being treated in hospital after a double shooting

:00:20. > :00:23.No arrests have been made and police are appealing for witnesses.

:00:24. > :00:27.Tolu Adeoye sent us this from Forest Gate.

:00:28. > :00:29.A 14-year-old is in a critical condition in hospital,

:00:30. > :00:31.and a 17-year-old has suffered what have been described

:00:32. > :00:33.as life changing injuries after yesterday's double shooting.

:00:34. > :00:36.We understand police were called here to Moore Walk in Forest Gate

:00:37. > :00:45.They found the two teenagers suffering gunshot wounds.

:00:46. > :00:48.Both were taken to an East London hospital where they are still

:00:49. > :00:58.Police still investigating but they spoke yesterday of serious

:00:59. > :01:01.There are now extra police officers on patrol in this area.

:01:02. > :01:04.These shootings came as the most recent Met police figures published

:01:05. > :01:11.Crimes in the capital were up from around 1700

:01:12. > :01:15.Four teenagers have already lost their lives this year

:01:16. > :01:24.One of them was here in Newham at the end of August.

:01:25. > :01:28.The police have said there is no place for violence on our streets.

:01:29. > :01:30.They are appealing for people to come forward if they have

:01:31. > :01:33.information about this crime or any information about people carrying

:01:34. > :01:46.A man from Surrey whose brother was shot dead while on a family

:01:47. > :01:48.holiday in the French Alps five years ago today,

:01:49. > :01:50.says he's frustrated with the lack of progress in the investigation.

:01:51. > :01:53.The bodies of his brother, his wife, mother-in-law and a French cyclist

:01:54. > :01:59.Zaid al-Hilli described the French investigation into the murders

:02:00. > :02:05.Our Home Affairs Correspondent Nick Beake is here with more on this.

:02:06. > :02:11.And this is a story that shocked many people here in the UK.

:02:12. > :02:16.Lots of people might remember this, the family holiday that ended in

:02:17. > :02:21.brutal murder. Five years on it remains a mystery. The bodies of

:02:22. > :02:27.Saad al-Hilli, his wife and her mother were found in a deserted road

:02:28. > :02:31.in a forest near Annecy in France. Also a cyclist was killed during the

:02:32. > :02:35.attack. One of the daughters, just four years old at the time, was

:02:36. > :02:39.discovered hiding under her mother's body in the car and an older sister

:02:40. > :02:45.was found with serious head injuries after being shot and beaten, but she

:02:46. > :02:50.survived. We are now hearing that Saad al-Hilli, his brother from

:02:51. > :02:51.Surrey has been talking about the French police investigation and says

:02:52. > :02:52.he is deeply frustrated by it. From the beginning, they handled

:02:53. > :02:55.the whole case very badly. The investigation itself was based

:02:56. > :03:00.on conjecture rather And that's why the whole

:03:01. > :03:19.thing has failed. Zaid al-Hilli himself was treated as

:03:20. > :03:24.a suspect for a time by police before being told he wasn't going to

:03:25. > :03:29.be charged because there was no evidence. There was speculation

:03:30. > :03:35.about a family feud, was it something to do with Mr al-Hilli's

:03:36. > :03:40.work as a satellite engineer? Five years on we are no closer to finding

:03:41. > :03:43.out who was behind these dreadful murders five years ago.

:03:44. > :03:45.Police are searching for a cyclist they believe could help

:03:46. > :03:48.in their investigation after a man was stabbed to death in Camden.

:03:49. > :03:50.The 20-year-old was killed on Hampstead Road yesterday.

:03:51. > :03:53.Incredibly, a man who was cycling in the area helped an officer arrest

:03:54. > :03:57.who's now been arrested on suspicion of murder.

:03:58. > :04:02.Police say the cyclist is not a suspect.

:04:03. > :04:05.A woman's appeared in court charged with making fraudulent claims to get

:04:06. > :04:08.support offered to survivors of the Grenfell Tower fire.

:04:09. > :04:10.46-year-old Joyce Msokeri from Sutton is charged

:04:11. > :04:18.At least 80 people died in the high rise in June.

:04:19. > :04:20.She's the second person to be charged with fraud

:04:21. > :04:23.Wheel clamping is being reintroduced at several train station

:04:24. > :04:29.Govia Thameslink, which runs Southern Rail, operates several car

:04:30. > :04:32.parks in the south east, and says it is only "targetting

:04:33. > :04:38.But transport groups say the practice is illogical.

:04:39. > :04:41.They say the best way to stop them is through the courts and not

:04:42. > :04:43.clamping. 20 youth clubs in the capital

:04:44. > :04:46.are set to get funding of more It's hoped the government money

:04:47. > :04:49.will help youngsters from disadvantaged areas build

:04:50. > :04:51.confidence through improved sports, The money's part of a ?40 million

:04:52. > :04:55.pot going to groups But other clubs not receiving

:04:56. > :05:03.funding say the scheme is unfair. Now, you've probably seen

:05:04. > :05:05.the London Duck Tours' yellow Well, in a few weeks,

:05:06. > :05:11.after 15 years they're Making way for the construction

:05:12. > :05:18.the Thames Tideway Tunnel, otherwise known

:05:19. > :05:19.as the Super Highway. Sonja Jessop hopped on board

:05:20. > :05:21.for a final goodbye. These bright yellow Duck Tours

:05:22. > :05:26.have been turning heads We do regard ourselves with being

:05:27. > :05:48.an iconic product of London. One of the great benefits we bring

:05:49. > :05:51.to London is that other So they don't have it in Paris

:05:52. > :05:55.or in other European countries. The tours will stop

:05:56. > :05:57.because they won't be Thames Water is taking it over

:05:58. > :06:01.to build a new super sewer. It says it's vital to remove tens

:06:02. > :06:04.of millions of tonnes I'm afraid we have looked

:06:05. > :06:07.at lots of alternatives. We have worked collaboratively

:06:08. > :06:09.with Duck Tours. We have tried to push back the time

:06:10. > :06:14.as long as possible until such time as they had to stop their operations

:06:15. > :06:20.but there is really no practical, safe alternative

:06:21. > :06:22.to the one we have now. These amphibious trucks were first

:06:23. > :06:25.made in the US in the 1940s. Many of them actually

:06:26. > :06:28.served on D-Day and in You can tell a bit of its American

:06:29. > :06:32.history because, look, the driver is actually sitting

:06:33. > :06:36.on the wrong side. More than 1.8 million passengers

:06:37. > :06:39.have travelled on London Duck Tours Although services were suspended

:06:40. > :06:44.for a time in 2013 when one For many passengers this

:06:45. > :06:54.was a special trip, especially for Emma and her son Oliver,

:06:55. > :06:57.who has cancer. We had a big fund-raising effort

:06:58. > :07:00.to raise money for Oliver's bucket list and this is the first thing

:07:01. > :07:03.we have been able to do When we found out it was closing,

:07:04. > :07:08.we moved his treatment around and the doctors made it possible

:07:09. > :07:10.for us to come to London John hopes the Duck Tours

:07:11. > :07:16.might return one day. But in the meantime,

:07:17. > :07:19.what will become of the vehicles? We are considering

:07:20. > :07:24.working in Portugal. We have also been looking, we've

:07:25. > :07:27.been asked to look at Loch Ness. But they set sail on the Thames

:07:28. > :07:38.for the final time later this month. Kate Kinsella's here with rest

:07:39. > :07:50.of the day's weather. It's quite warm, surprisingly,

:07:51. > :07:56.despite the cloud we have today. This was earlier this morning. A bit

:07:57. > :07:59.of low cloud, murky out there with light and patchy rain, but overall a

:08:00. > :08:04.dry morning. It has been rather humid. At six o'clock this morning

:08:05. > :08:11.we started at 17 Celsius in central London. Very mild. Some patches of

:08:12. > :08:15.blue sky and a bit of sunshine, heating things up a bit more. This

:08:16. > :08:22.afternoon, more of the same, dry and rather cloudy. But we are hanging

:08:23. > :08:26.onto the humidity. You might get a little bit of rain, one or two

:08:27. > :08:29.showers ahead of a cold front head in our direction. If you get the

:08:30. > :08:33.brightest spell, that could spark off a heavy shower here or there,

:08:34. > :08:39.but not everywhere will see them. Temperatures likely to reach 20 or

:08:40. > :08:44.21 Celsius. Feeling quite sticky, as it did overnight. The cold front

:08:45. > :08:47.moves across us this evening. That will introduce cooler and fresher

:08:48. > :08:53.air behind it. It will not be as sticky tonight as it was last night.

:08:54. > :08:58.11 or 12 is the minimum temperature. It leads the way to a chilly start

:08:59. > :09:02.tomorrow morning, but a brighter one. We will have spells of sunshine

:09:03. > :09:06.with cloud bubbling up as we head further through. The temperature

:09:07. > :09:11.tomorrow is similar, but it will feel fresher, we will lose the

:09:12. > :09:15.humidity and looking at a maximum of around 20 Celsius. Similar on

:09:16. > :09:17.Thursday, before turning more unsettled and rainy on Friday.

:09:18. > :09:21.Riz Lateef will be here with our 6:30 evening programme.

:09:22. > :09:38.But for now, from us all, a very good afternoon.

:09:39. > :09:41.I don't take well to people who lie to me.
