0:01:37 > 0:01:40who are having invasive surgery, and mobility scooters for patients

0:01:40 > 0:01:43who have had a stroke.

0:01:43 > 0:01:46NHS insiders say off the record this doesn't help them,

0:01:46 > 0:01:51as it will rack up large legal bills but Nicola believes it will raise

0:01:51 > 0:01:56standards and benefit patients and doctors in her own area.

0:01:56 > 0:01:59They are the ones that are on the front line, you know.

0:01:59 > 0:02:02They are a national treasure and we have to look after them.

0:02:02 > 0:02:06I want to give it back because it's a legacy for my children and it's

0:02:06 > 0:02:09a health care that they can rely on.

0:02:09 > 0:02:12All Nicola really wants is to get well and to support medical staff

0:02:57 > 0:03:00to identify two men seen on CCTV running away from the scene.

0:03:00 > 0:03:03Lawyers have put a figure on how much thieves managed to steal

0:03:03 > 0:03:06in the Hatton Garden safety deposit box theft in London three years ago.

0:03:06 > 0:03:09They say it was around 13 and a half million pounds,

0:03:09 > 0:03:11which is less than some estimates had put the total.

0:03:11 > 0:03:14A judge will now decide how much five of the gang,

0:03:14 > 0:03:17all of whom are in prison, will pay back.

0:03:17 > 0:03:19Much of what was stolen has never been recovered.

0:03:19 > 0:03:21One of the robbers is still on the run.

0:03:21 > 0:03:24The BBC and Premier League have started a campaign called

0:03:24 > 0:03:27Super Movers to help primary school teachers encourage children

0:03:27 > 0:03:30to become more active.

0:03:30 > 0:03:32The scheme intends to enhance their learning

0:03:32 > 0:03:34through the activities and Tim Muffet has been finding out

0:03:34 > 0:03:37more at the Ashmount Primary in Crouch Hill.

0:03:37 > 0:03:40more at the Ashmount Primary in Crouch Hill.

0:03:40 > 0:03:43more at the Ashmount Primary in Crouch Hill.

0:03:43 > 0:03:45We've just pushed back the desks slightly in this classroom

0:03:45 > 0:03:46and everyone is getting active.

0:03:46 > 0:03:49You might rescue recognise one of the super movers here.

0:03:49 > 0:03:50It's Gabby Logan.

0:03:50 > 0:03:51A supermove ambassador.

0:03:51 > 0:03:53Can you dance and talk at the same time?

0:03:53 > 0:03:54Can I do it without dancing?

0:03:54 > 0:03:55Is that all right?

0:03:55 > 0:03:57You're allowed to stop briefly.

0:03:57 > 0:03:58Explain to us how Super Movers works.

0:03:58 > 0:04:00It's a brilliant resource and it's online for teachers

0:04:01 > 0:04:02and families to access.

0:04:02 > 0:04:0550 videos we've made and this is the one we've got on now

0:04:05 > 0:04:06which is a numeracy video.

0:04:06 > 0:04:08Dance moves with a song that was also educational so you've

0:04:08 > 0:04:11got the cognitive ability improving because they're having to think

0:04:11 > 0:04:12about the words and the moves.

0:04:12 > 0:04:15There are literacy videos as well, and people that the kids know

0:04:15 > 0:04:16who made these videos.

0:04:16 > 0:04:20I would love every kid to do an hour of PE every day but that's just not

0:04:20 > 0:04:22always possible at these schools.

0:04:22 > 0:04:23I'll let you carry on your dancing.

0:04:23 > 0:04:24Thank you.

0:04:24 > 0:04:26You might recognise another super mover here, Alex Scott,

0:04:26 > 0:04:29Arsenal football and former England player as well.

0:04:29 > 0:04:32Why did you decide to get involved in this?

0:04:32 > 0:04:35Because it's so important to let the children know that physical

0:04:35 > 0:04:37activity has so many benefits, health benefits as well,

0:04:37 > 0:04:40but most importantly that you can have fun whilst you're working out.

0:04:40 > 0:04:43Do think it's harder and harder for kids to stay active

0:04:43 > 0:04:45and keep moving around?

0:04:45 > 0:04:48It is but it's so important and that's why I wanted to be part

0:04:48 > 0:04:51of this because if you engage the children at this age

0:04:51 > 0:04:54and they realise it's fun they will carry on with that.

0:04:54 > 0:04:55Let's talk to some of them now.

0:04:55 > 0:04:56Guys, are you enjoying it?

0:04:56 > 0:04:59Yes.

0:04:59 > 0:05:02What's the best bit about doing this in the classroom?

0:05:02 > 0:05:05If it's a rainy day then you can go inside and if it's

0:05:05 > 0:05:07not a rainy day...

0:05:07 > 0:05:10And you don't have to get changed.

0:05:10 > 0:05:11You can incorporate it into your normal day.

0:05:11 > 0:05:13You don't have to go outside.

0:05:13 > 0:05:17What's it like being active and getting your brain working?

0:05:17 > 0:05:20It relieves your mind from all the hard stuff you've done.

0:05:20 > 0:05:26If you've been writing a lot, and if you do super movers,

0:05:26 > 0:05:29it will de-stress you.

0:05:29 > 0:05:31You know what, let's carry on dancing.

0:05:31 > 0:05:34Thanks very much indeed.

0:05:34 > 0:05:37Tim Muffet reporting.

0:05:37 > 0:05:40A new outdoor gym has opened in Tower Hamlets.

0:05:40 > 0:05:42What's the big deal?

0:05:42 > 0:05:45Well, it's constructed from the metal of recycled knives.

0:05:45 > 0:05:47It's in Poplar and its hoped to draw young

0:05:47 > 0:05:49people away from crime.

0:05:49 > 0:05:52Amelia Martyn-Hemphill went to take a look.

0:05:52 > 0:05:56This gym is made from melted knives taken off the streets of London

0:05:56 > 0:06:00to try to change attitudes about knife crime.

0:06:00 > 0:06:05Knife crime in the capital is at its highest level in seven years.

0:06:05 > 0:06:08Every month the police seize about a tonne of knives off

0:06:08 > 0:06:10the streets of London.

0:06:10 > 0:06:14A charity called Steel Warriors wanted to transform all that metal

0:06:14 > 0:06:18into a positive symbol.

0:06:18 > 0:06:22For many young people it's not seen as a shocking thing to carry

0:06:22 > 0:06:26a knife and we want to get people rethinking that.

0:06:26 > 0:06:29We feel like there aren't enough spaces across the city

0:06:29 > 0:06:32and across the country where young people can build more

0:06:32 > 0:06:34physical confidence.

0:06:34 > 0:06:38So they melted down the knives and built a steel gym.

0:06:38 > 0:06:41Snap chat QR codes generate mobile videos showing people how

0:06:41 > 0:06:44to use the equipment.

0:06:44 > 0:06:46So they won't even need to pay for a personal trainer,

0:06:46 > 0:06:49they won't need to pay for a gym membership.

0:06:49 > 0:06:51They'll have a free gym and a free trainer there for them.

0:06:51 > 0:06:55One of the online trainers is Derek.

0:06:55 > 0:07:00He spent ten years in jail for knife-related crime in the US.

0:07:00 > 0:07:03Why do young people feel they need to carry knives?

0:07:03 > 0:07:06One of the main things is to feel protected.

0:07:06 > 0:07:09Once you start building that muscle and feeling more kind

0:07:09 > 0:07:12of confident about yourself, you don't feel the need

0:07:12 > 0:07:14to carry weapons.

0:07:14 > 0:07:16It's too early to say whether the gym will change

0:07:16 > 0:07:18attitudes to knife crime, but the team is hoping

0:07:18 > 0:07:20to build more.

0:07:20 > 0:07:23Hopefully this will play a part in not only getting people talking

0:07:23 > 0:07:27about the issue of knife crime, but also play a part in giving

0:07:27 > 0:07:36people more of a positive way of spending their time.

0:07:43 > 0:07:45Ben Wintour ending that report from Amelia Martyn-Hemphill.

0:07:45 > 0:07:47The new American Embassy has opened its doors in Battersea.

0:07:47 > 0:07:49With a price tag of a billion dollars,

0:07:49 > 0:07:52it's one of the most expensive US Embassy's anywhere in the world.

0:07:52 > 0:07:54But it's already become famous for being snubbed

0:07:54 > 0:07:56by President Donald Trump who said he wouldn't come

0:07:56 > 0:07:59to London to open it because he didn't like the location

0:07:59 > 0:08:00and was unhappy about the cost.

0:08:00 > 0:08:01Now the weather with Kate.

0:08:01 > 0:08:02Good afternoon.

0:08:02 > 0:08:05Well, it's not been a bad day all in all.

0:08:05 > 0:08:07Near enough a cloudless sky for much of the morning.

0:08:07 > 0:08:10Blue sky, sunshine, but we have had quite a cold wind and that's

0:08:10 > 0:08:12going to stay with us into the afternoon.

0:08:12 > 0:08:14Now there is more cloud around so sunny spells

0:08:14 > 0:08:16in general, and, yes, it is still going to

0:08:16 > 0:08:17feel rather chilly.

0:08:17 > 0:08:19Now it's a westerly wind.

0:08:19 > 0:08:20One or two isolated showers.

0:08:20 > 0:08:22Many of us avoiding them though.

0:08:22 > 0:08:24We'll get some sunny spells through the afternoon.

0:08:24 > 0:08:27If you do get a shower later on, could turn a little bit

0:08:27 > 0:08:29wintry on higher ground, the Chilterns for example.

0:08:29 > 0:08:31Maximum temperature in the meantime at five Celsius so still some

0:08:31 > 0:08:33showers whizzing through overnight.

0:08:33 > 0:08:36The breeze staying quite brisk as well so they won't last for long,

0:08:36 > 0:08:39and again higher ground, they could fall a little bit wintry.

0:08:39 > 0:08:42To lower levels, probably just falling as rain.

0:08:42 > 0:08:45Minimum temperature, 1-2 Celsius, which could lead to maybe one

0:08:45 > 0:08:47or two icy stretches first thing tomorrow morning.

0:08:47 > 0:08:49Now for Wednesday, plenty of sunshine.

0:08:49 > 0:08:53Yes, we've still got that breeze so it's going to feel quite chilly

0:08:53 > 0:08:55but less showers around, maximum temperature

0:08:55 > 0:08:57up at seven Celsius.

0:08:57 > 0:09:00It probably is not going to feel that warm though.

0:09:00 > 0:09:02Now, as we head into Wednesday night, all eyes towards that,

0:09:02 > 0:09:06a storm tracking across the north towards the UK and the Met Office

0:09:06 > 0:09:08has issued a yellow weather warning for the strong winds,

0:09:08 > 0:09:10coupled with some heavy rain and that will continue

0:09:10 > 0:09:13through to Thursday morning, so some disruptive weather

0:09:14 > 0:09:17potentially over night Wednesday.

0:09:17 > 0:09:20That's it.

0:09:20 > 0:09:23Riz will be back at 6.30 with our next news on BBC One.

0:09:23 > 0:09:25From me, for now, have a lovely afternoon.

0:09:25 > 0:09:28Bye bye.
