:00:57. > :00:59.taking 50% with no explanation as to why they were hanging onto it.
:01:00. > :01:06.We've had access to the internal records of Harrods and it is
:01:07. > :01:12.Many London restaurant staff are allowed to keep their tips.
:01:13. > :01:18.Some managers say that doesn't just bolster their relatively low wages.
:01:19. > :01:21.If it's a good establishment, if they are making good tips,
:01:22. > :01:25.then people are likely to be loyal and remain in the business
:01:26. > :01:27.for a long time and if that happens, the business benefits from loyalty
:01:28. > :01:32.of the staff, and of those customers who are actually
:01:33. > :01:36.coming in and making the business a success.
:01:37. > :01:41.But there's anger over Harrods and other businesses
:01:42. > :01:43.using a so-called tronc system of dividing up the service
:01:44. > :01:54.In a statement, Harrods said they employ 450 staff in six
:01:55. > :01:56.different restaurants and they all earn above the living
:01:57. > :01:59.wage, but they say they are looking into the way they distribute service
:02:00. > :02:06.charges to see if it can be improved.

:02:10. > :02:13.installed in all dementia care facilities, after claiming she saw

:02:58. > :03:03.she is now leading a campaign for CCTV cameras to be made
:03:04. > :03:07.mandatory in communal areas in care homes.
:03:08. > :03:12.It's not about having CCTV to watch carers.
:03:13. > :03:22.It's about safeguarding the carers, protecting the residents,
:03:23. > :03:26.and it would act as a huge positive training tool.
:03:27. > :03:28.But those in the care home business say it isn't that simple
:03:29. > :03:34.Both staff and residents may feel uncomfortable to have cameras,
:03:35. > :03:40.so their natural rights and dignity is being impeached by these actions.
:03:41. > :03:43.We want a happy family approach, not something which is somebody
:03:44. > :03:50.looking over other people's shoulders and the like all the time.
:03:51. > :03:54.The Care Quality Commission don't support the idea either, preferring
