:00:29. > :00:32.At six o'clock this evening, this started happening.

:00:33. > :00:34.The doors to almost all central London Tube stations

:00:35. > :00:38.were closed, marking the start of a 24-hour strike.

:00:39. > :00:41.Both commuters and the Mayor of London had been hoping it

:00:42. > :00:43.wouldn't come to this, but this morning, unions confirmed

:00:44. > :00:45.they'd rejected a last-minute offer from Transport for London

:00:46. > :00:51.While many don't know how or if they'll be able

:00:52. > :00:53.to get to work tomorrow, what is certain is more

:00:54. > :00:58.Businesses, like this one in Soho, are also worried.

:00:59. > :01:01.Sundays are normally a fairly quiet day for us anyway.

:01:02. > :01:04.However, obviously we rely on a lot of walk-ins that I don't believe

:01:05. > :01:08.Lots of people come in to us after 7.30pm in the evening.

:01:09. > :01:11.Considering the strike is starting this evening,

:01:12. > :01:14.I don't think we're going to see any of that any more.

:01:23. > :01:31.Uber, black cab, overground, have a walk, you never know.

:01:32. > :01:34.We live in south-west London, so we're just going to go as far

:01:35. > :01:37.south as we can on a bus, we might walk a bit.

:01:38. > :01:39.Kind of hoping eventually we get somewhere we can get another bus

:01:40. > :01:43.During the strike, TFL will put on 200 extra

:01:44. > :01:48.buses in central London, but do expect long queues.

:01:49. > :01:53.Although it'll be busy, hundreds of extra bikes will be

:01:54. > :01:55.available at special pop-up hubs at Waterloo, King's Cross

:02:44. > :02:47.into this station and take the tube to work or wherever they are going.

:02:48. > :02:52.They will not be able to do that tomorrow. Big stations like

:03:14. > :03:16.London. The mayor was hoping that the strike would be called off. It

:03:17. > :03:24.does not look like that is happening. No. The mayor has been

:03:25. > :03:29.very keen on stopping this strike from going ahead. He has instructed
