:00:28. > :00:43.There have been increasing cyber attacks around the world
:00:44. > :00:44.on hospitals and yesterday, several London
:00:45. > :00:51.Barts hospital trust told its staff yesterday not to open any
:00:52. > :00:53.attachments from unknown senders, after it was the subject
:00:54. > :00:58.And the reassuring news is they say at the moment,
:00:59. > :01:01.there's no indication that someone from outside the hospital has seen
:01:02. > :01:08.any of the patient details and they are investigating.
:01:09. > :01:10.Barts, which runs four hospitals, the Royal London,
:01:11. > :01:11.Saint Bartholomew's, Whipps Cross and Newham,
:01:12. > :01:14.did take some of its drives off-line yesterday but no treatment seems
:01:15. > :01:21.If this had been a more aggressive attack, the worry is it could have
:01:22. > :01:23.disrupted the way the hospital is run causing cancelled
:01:24. > :01:25.appointments or operations, as well as losing data.
:01:26. > :01:29.Although this didn't happen in this case,
:01:30. > :01:32.there is concern from some experts the NHS isn't as prepared as it
:01:33. > :01:37.could be to fend off the sorts of attacks.
:01:38. > :01:39.could be to fend off these sorts of attacks.
:01:40. > :01:42.It seems that potentially one problem in this incident has been
:01:43. > :01:45.that they are running Windows XP, which is a really old operating
:01:46. > :01:47.system and has been out of support since 2014.
:01:48. > :01:50.So that means any exploits discovered in Windows XP,
:01:51. > :01:52.they aren't patched, it isn't kept updated.
:01:53. > :01:56.So it means it is particularly vulnerable.
:01:57. > :01:59.Barts is getting its system back to normal and says it's looking
:02:00. > :02:08.The warning here for large organisations is to be prepared to
:02:09. > :02:19.A ten year-old boy from north London has been described as a hero
:02:20. > :02:22.by police officers after helping to convict two violent robbers
:02:23. > :02:25.Didier Levenfiche had just arrived home from school
:02:26. > :02:45.Not only did her son's actions scare off her attackers
:02:46. > :02:47.outside her home in north London, but by memorising their faces,
:02:48. > :02:49.the ten-year-old's presence of mind led to their conviction.

:03:40. > :03:47.They need to be tracked down and stopped, otherwise
:03:48. > :03:49.they are going to do it to more people.
