:00:44. > :00:47.Thousands made their way to Parliament Square - many,

:00:48. > :00:48.like pensioner Jaqueline Skelton, had never protested before.

:00:49. > :00:51.Many of her generation voted to leave in the referendum,

:00:52. > :00:54.but she sees that as a disaster for her home city of London.

:01:47. > :01:55.So we're saying loudly and clearly that we believe that it needs to be

:02:04. > :02:08.Those here believe their freedom to protest is exactly

:02:09. > :02:11.That is something they are determined to preserve.

:02:22. > :02:23.as the one remaining greyhound track in London closes its doors.

:02:24. > :02:27.The last dog races will take place at Wimbledon Greyhound Stadium,

:02:28. > :02:30.before it's torn down to make way for housing and a new

:02:31. > :02:43.These greyhound racing fans are witnessing the end of an era.

:02:44. > :02:45.After almost 90 years as a sporting venue,

:02:46. > :02:50.Wimbledon Greyhound Track is closing.

:02:51. > :02:52.To me personally and the people who follow the greyhounds scene

:02:53. > :02:55.and the owners and trainers around the country, they're in denial.

:02:56. > :02:57.They can't quite believe that it's going to happen.

:02:58. > :03:00.I'm not surprised, because it's been on the cards for quite a while.

:03:01. > :03:02.I'm not very happy, but that's something else.

:03:03. > :03:16.It falls into the category of stuff you can't fight.

:03:17. > :03:18.At least it's still going to be a stadium, so that something.

:03:19. > :03:21.But we will miss the dog track, it will be missed.

:03:22. > :03:24.The plan is to build a new stadium for AFC Wimbledon

:03:25. > :03:27.at the Plough Lane site, as well as hundreds of new houses.

:03:28. > :03:30.But many of those who have made a living at the track for decades

:03:31. > :03:32.feel London's mayor should have fought harder to keep it.

:03:33. > :03:35.He's made a mistake and time will prove it.

:03:43. > :03:44.Greyhound racing was hugely popular after the Second World War,

:03:45. > :03:48.But they've been closing since the 1960s.

:03:49. > :03:50.As crowd numbers at the dogs have dropped, there's been an increasing

:03:51. > :04:00.We have lost Walthamstow and Catford in the last sort of 15 years,

:04:01. > :04:05.There's still hope an investor could be found to build

:04:06. > :04:08.a new track in the future, or London may have lost part

:04:09. > :04:25.It is feeling really springlike. Let's get a check on the weather.
