:00:00. > :00:00.and I'll be back with the late news at ten.

:00:00. > :00:07.Now on BBC One, it's time for the news where you are.

:00:08. > :00:21.A defiant message of 'unity' has been delivered from a pub in Soho

:00:22. > :00:23.which marked the anniversary - almost two decades on from

:00:24. > :00:25.when a terrorist targeted London's gay and Lesbian community.

:00:26. > :00:28.The 'Admiral Duncan Pub' was singled out by neo-Nazi, David Copeland.

:00:29. > :00:31.Today, people remembered the attack at a time when homophobic hate crime

:00:32. > :00:45.A quiet march through Soho's busy streets this evening. Friends,

:00:46. > :00:49.family, survivors and those who simply wanted to remember what

:00:50. > :00:55.happened here 18 years ago when a bomb exploded at this pub. The

:00:56. > :00:59.explosion killed three people and injured dozens more. Earlier that

:01:00. > :01:03.month, the same man had targeted Brixton and Brick Lane will stop

:01:04. > :01:09.this time, it was the Admiral Duncan pub, chosen because it was a

:01:10. > :01:12.well-known venue for the lesbian, Gay, bisexual and transgender

:01:13. > :01:15.community. I was coming home from work and I made it as far as the

:01:16. > :01:20.corner and every thing was blocked. I didn't understand why. A lot of

:01:21. > :01:25.things happened, and I stood at the end and watch. It was about an hour

:01:26. > :01:32.after it happened, and I found out when I got home that it was... The

:01:33. > :01:35.bomber was thought to be influenced by neo-Nazi and far right Christian

:01:36. > :01:41.groups. In the days that followed, Martin was part of a group to hold

:01:42. > :01:45.the first openly welcoming LGBT mass to show acceptance for the

:01:46. > :01:51.community. What was the atmosphere like as might shock, outrage, anger.

:01:52. > :01:55.The fact that the bombings were not just in Soho but in Brick Lane

:01:56. > :02:01.against the Asian community, in Brixton against the African

:02:02. > :02:04.Caribbean community. It brought the community together. The Admiral

:02:05. > :02:08.Duncan rebuilt and continues to be at the heart of the community here.

:02:09. > :02:11.When a nightclub in Orlando was attacked last year, it was here that

:02:12. > :02:16.thousands gathered to show their solidarity. But hate crime in London

:02:17. > :02:21.is not a thing of the past. Last year, homophobic offences were up by

:02:22. > :02:27.over 10%. Tonight's vigil in Soho aims to show 18 years on that hate

:02:28. > :02:29.can still be met with unity. Caroline Davies, BBC London News.

:02:30. > :02:32.A 38-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder

:02:33. > :02:34.after a passenger was found stabbed to death on a London bus.

:02:35. > :02:37.Archie Sheppard from Neasden was found with fatal injuries

:02:38. > :02:39.on the 189 bus in Marylebone on Friday morning.

:02:40. > :02:41.Police made the arrest in Fulham, where they found

:02:42. > :02:45.Officers are appealing for anyone who knew the victim to contact them.

:02:46. > :02:48.Fans of Charlton Athletic have been protesting about the club's owner

:02:49. > :02:50.Supporters delayed kick-off by throwing paper money

:02:51. > :02:53.and balloons before the match, and there was a pitch

:02:54. > :03:00.They want owner Roland Duchalet to leave the club.

:03:01. > :03:02.all candidates who'll be fighting for your vote are in place.

:03:03. > :03:05.Still 40 days to go until the general election and not

:03:06. > :03:08.all candidates who'll be fighting for your vote are in place.

:03:09. > :03:10.But that hasn't stopped leaflets about key issues being posted,

:03:11. > :03:14.And this time around, as our political editor Tim Donovan

:03:15. > :03:16.has been finding out, the 'B' word is

:03:17. > :03:28.On the streets and on the estates of Hamstead and Kilburn, the leafleting

:03:29. > :03:32.started. The Labour MP is defending a majority of 1100 here, and no

:03:33. > :03:37.question what some will be voting on. Mannequin Brexit. It was a bad

:03:38. > :03:44.decision and no one really understood. -- Brexit. It was a bad

:03:45. > :03:48.decision and no one really understood. We have clear policies

:03:49. > :03:53.today on the workplace, things that resonate in my constituent about

:03:54. > :03:57.protecting low paid workers and people on low hours on temporary

:03:58. > :04:03.contracts. They resonate with people. In strong Remain areas like

:04:04. > :04:07.Twickenham, the Conservative candidate knows it will be tough.

:04:08. > :04:12.With Theresa May you get someone who is fighting for us. The task the

:04:13. > :04:16.Tories, making it about delivering the decision now, not the decision

:04:17. > :04:22.itself. It is not just about Brexit, this election. One of the main

:04:23. > :04:24.reasons why we need a strong and secure Government under Theresa May

:04:25. > :04:29.is to do with economic stability. This Government has delivered

:04:30. > :04:35.roughly 1000 new jobs every day we've been in office. Vince Cable is

:04:36. > :04:38.the man trying to win back Twickenham for the Lib Dems. They

:04:39. > :04:42.are offering a second referendum before Brexit could happen. It is

:04:43. > :04:47.clear that what Theresa May is asking for is a blank cheque. She

:04:48. > :04:51.has no plan at this time as to how she plans to deliver Brexit, and all

:04:52. > :04:56.she wants is a blank cheque so that anything she does over the next five

:04:57. > :04:59.years she can claim she has a mandate for. The parties don't have

:05:00. > :05:02.all their candidates in place yet. Only when that happens will the

:05:03. > :05:05.ground campaign to get going properly. Tim Donovan, BBC London

:05:06. > :05:13.News. Now, the weather.

:05:14. > :05:17.Outbreaks of rain pushing their way north through this evening and

:05:18. > :05:23.overnight, bringing a couple of millimetres in places. Then dry.

:05:24. > :05:35.Some showers towards dawn. Temperature is no lower than eight

:05:36. > :05:40.Celsius. Some showers tomorrow. Some could be heavy and thundery. Quite a

:05:41. > :05:48.cool fields of the day - 12 or 13 Celsius the high. Once the shower

:05:49. > :05:51.was clear, there is not a lot of rain in the forecast. There will be

:05:52. > :05:54.some clout and it will feel cool through the week.

:05:55. > :05:58.I hope you can join me later, after the concluding part of 'Line

:05:59. > :06:16.Good evening. Big contrasts today. This is the view from Cornwall, grey

:06:17. > :06:19.skies with some rain. At the other end of the country, it was

:06:20. > :06:26.completely different, with blue sky and sunshine in the Moray Firth.

:06:27. > :06:30.This low pressure is bringing rain to the south. Those isobars are

:06:31. > :06:33.wrapped around that. It is windy for all.
