:00:28. > :00:30.Today, people remembered the attack, at a time when homophobic hate crime

:00:31. > :00:39.A quiet march through Soho's busy streets this evening.

:00:40. > :00:43.Friends, family, survivors and those who simply wanted to remember

:00:44. > :00:50.what happened here 18 years ago, when a bomb exploded at this pub.

:00:51. > :00:55.The explosion killed three people and injured dozens more.

:00:56. > :01:00.Earlier that month, the same man had targeted Brixton and Brick Lane.

:01:01. > :01:03.This time, it was the Admiral Duncan pub, chosen because it was

:01:04. > :01:05.a well-known venue for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and

:01:06. > :01:11.I was coming home from work, and I made it as far as the corner,

:01:12. > :01:13.and everything was blocked off, and I didn't understand why.

:01:14. > :01:16.I found out when I got home, and it was very

:01:17. > :01:21.The bomber was thought to have been influenced by neo-Nazi and far

:01:22. > :01:26.Martin was part of a group to hold the first openly welcoming

:01:27. > :01:30.He felt London rallied against the attack.

:01:31. > :01:34.The fact that the bombings were not just here in Soho,

:01:35. > :01:38.but in Brick Lane, against the Asian community, in Brixton, against

:01:39. > :01:42.the Afro-Caribbean community - it brought the community together.

:01:43. > :01:45.The pub is still at the heart of the LGBT community.

:01:46. > :01:48.Thousands gathered here to show solidarity after a nightclub

:01:49. > :01:54.But hate crime in London is not a thing of the past.

:01:55. > :01:58.Last year, homophobic offences were up by over 10%.

:01:59. > :02:01.It's one of the reasons the church here thinks it's so important

:02:02. > :02:08.It's actually on the rise, and we need to remember that this

:02:09. > :02:11.is not just something that happens a long way off - it can

:02:12. > :02:14.Tonight's vigil in Soho aims to show, 18 years on,

:02:15. > :02:21.that hate can still be met with unity.

:02:22. > :02:24.A 38-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder,

:02:25. > :02:28.after a passenger was found stabbed to death on a London bus.

:02:29. > :02:32.Archie Sheppard from Neasden was found with fatal injuries

:02:33. > :02:34.on the 189 bus in Marylebone on Friday morning.

:02:35. > :02:41.40 days to go until the general election, and not all candidates

:02:42. > :02:46.But that hasn't stopped leaflets about key issues being posted,

:02:47. > :02:51.And this time around, as our political editor,

:02:52. > :02:54.Tim Donovan, has been finding out, the B-word is dominating

:03:46. > :03:49.the decision now, not the decision itself.

:03:50. > :03:53.The reality is, this election is not just about Brexit.

:03:54. > :03:56.One of the main reasons why we need a strong and secure government under

:03:57. > :03:59.Theresa May is to continue with economic stability.

:04:00. > :04:02.This government has delivered roughly 1,000 new jobs for every day

:04:03. > :04:09.Vince Cable is the man trying to win back Twickenham

:04:10. > :04:20.They're offering a second referendum before Brexit could happen.

:04:21. > :04:22.It's clear that what Theresa May is asking for in this

:04:23. > :04:24.general election is, she pretty much wants

:04:25. > :04:28.She has no plan at this time as to how she plans to deliver

:04:29. > :04:32.Brexit, and all she wants is a blank cheque from the electorate so that

:04:33. > :04:34.anything she does over the next five years,
