:00:00. > :00:19.Another attack on another London bridge - the second time

:00:20. > :00:25.In a moment, we'll hear about measures to step up security

:00:26. > :00:28.on the capital's river crossings and plans for a vigil

:00:29. > :00:34.First, Katharine Carpenter reports on how Londoners reacted as last

:00:35. > :00:51.You might find some images in the report upsetting. You can hear the

:00:52. > :00:55.fear in their voices, running for their lives through Borough market.

:00:56. > :01:01.This footage was shot by a Romanian man who works at a bakery. God

:01:02. > :01:06.forbid, he says, terrorists are stabbing people around here. A

:01:07. > :01:15.police officer helps a blood covered the man to safety, trying to

:01:16. > :01:18.reassure him. Meanwhile, at a nearby pub, Nathan Williams was about to

:01:19. > :01:23.close when three men ran in, terrified. They said they had seen

:01:24. > :01:29.bodies on the ground and blood in the road. They were very white,

:01:30. > :01:33.pale, scared. They were demanding we lock the doors, and once people

:01:34. > :01:37.were running down the street, we did were running down the street, we did

:01:38. > :01:40.that and we try to keep everyone at the back of the pub, away from the

:01:41. > :01:45.windows and from danger because we did not know what was happening.

:01:46. > :01:48.Nathan said eventually over 150 people were here. People were

:01:49. > :01:51.sitting on tables, the bar, the floor, a lady sat behind the bar

:01:52. > :02:02.with her back to the wall because there were no seats left and she was

:02:03. > :02:04.in a bad way. Others seeking refuge were taken in by the Dean of

:02:05. > :02:06.Southwark, who had visited Borough Market in the minutes after the

:02:07. > :02:09.attack. There were people being attended to on the pavements by

:02:10. > :02:15.emergency services and it was unreal and frightening. I still have that

:02:16. > :02:20.kind of sense of shock and fear, really, within me. This man chairs

:02:21. > :02:27.the local residents group. Unable to get to his flat, he came here

:02:28. > :02:33.instead. I just feel quite emotional because on Friday we were happy and

:02:34. > :02:39.we had had a big event that was celebrating this place and the

:02:40. > :02:47.residents in the area and how they had done so much. I felt kind of

:02:48. > :02:55.quite touched because we were leaving a legacy and I just feel but

:02:56. > :02:59.hopefully we can try and show that and that Islam is a religion of

:03:00. > :03:06.peace. We want to help communities are not break them up. He is not

:03:07. > :03:13.alone in his heartbreak today or in his desire for solidarity.

:03:14. > :03:17.The London Bridge area is full of businesses.

:03:18. > :03:20.What can we expect tomorrow morning, the start of the working week?

:03:21. > :03:26.As you can see, the cord and is in place and we expected to be the

:03:27. > :03:30.until at least 8am tomorrow, but there are signs that the area is

:03:31. > :03:33.beginning to open up a little. Boro Tube station opened earlier this

:03:34. > :03:37.evening and we have heard that London Bridge overground station is

:03:38. > :03:43.due to reopen tomorrow morning at five a.m.. There is a caveat to

:03:44. > :03:47.that, because of the disruption likely in the area, it will be

:03:48. > :03:52.except only an Network Rail advise people to use the station are

:03:53. > :03:57.possible and say that services are subject to delays and cancellations.

:03:58. > :04:00.Apart from that, at least 16 bus routes on diversion and London

:04:01. > :04:04.Bridge itself remains closed, so if you walk to work, you will have to

:04:05. > :04:09.find other routes. We know some businesses have told workers not to

:04:10. > :04:15.come into work because of this. What about the vigil organised for

:04:16. > :04:19.tomorrow? Sadiq Khan has invited all Londoners and those visiting the

:04:20. > :04:23.city to a vigil at 6pm tomorrow evening outside City Hall. He said

:04:24. > :04:28.it was a chance to remember those who have died, to honour them and

:04:29. > :04:32.solidarity. He said it was important solidarity. He said it was important

:04:33. > :04:35.to show that we stand united. Thank you very much.

:04:36. > :04:38.Well, the UK's head of counter terrorism has said there will be

:04:39. > :04:40.improved security measures on London's bridges

:04:41. > :04:47.Of course, it's the second attack on a bridge in the capital

:04:48. > :04:51.With more details here's our correspondent Tom Edwards.

:04:52. > :04:59.Another attack in London targeting a busy bridge, and again, using a

:05:00. > :05:03.vehicle as a deadly weapon. Londoners can expect to see more

:05:04. > :05:06.police over the coming days for reassurance, and this was

:05:07. > :05:13.Westminster Bridge today. What happened last night has similarities

:05:14. > :05:17.with what happened here today -- on March the 22nd. Westminster Bridge

:05:18. > :05:20.is as busy as ever today, but this is the second attack on one of the

:05:21. > :05:24.capital's bridges involving a vehicle over the last few months and

:05:25. > :05:31.it's bound to raise questions again about whether enough is being done

:05:32. > :05:37.to protect high-profile locations. They want anybody, anywhere in the

:05:38. > :05:42.world, from Bombay to Baghdad to understand where the location was.

:05:43. > :05:49.So why have the capital's bridges seemingly become a target. We have

:05:50. > :05:54.to consider a night-time -- iconic locations, as a priority,

:05:55. > :05:58.enhancements to pedestrian areas to ensure that the terrorists who are

:05:59. > :06:04.seeking the media attention worldwide by striking in these

:06:05. > :06:07.iconic locations, those locations to safeguard the well-being of not only

:06:08. > :06:12.London residence, but those who come here to visit. The Met police now

:06:13. > :06:18.says there could be more barriers or bala is placed on London Bridge is,

:06:19. > :06:22.as seen outside outside other locations. The security and policing

:06:23. > :06:26.plans for forthcoming events are being reviewed. You will also see

:06:27. > :06:30.increased physical measures in order to keep the public safe on London

:06:31. > :06:36.Bridge is. Londoners are buying told to remain calm but vigilant. The

:06:37. > :06:37.terrorism warning remains at severe, meaning another attack is highly

:06:38. > :06:39.likely. Before we go let's just take a quick

:06:40. > :06:42.look at the weather. Then the clouds thicken up,

:06:43. > :06:46.winds pick up and rain into eve. Temperatures feeling a little cooler

:06:47. > :06:50.with a high of 19 celsius. The national forecast

:06:51. > :06:54.follows in a moment. But that's all from the BBC

:06:55. > :07:13.London team this evening. Hello. The rain cleared, the sun

:07:14. > :07:16.came out in Manchester but we will get some very mixed weather over the

:07:17. > :07:24.week ahead. Spells of rain which will be heavy and accompanied by

:07:25. > :07:28.strong gusty winds. There may be brighter spells and it will turn

:07:29. > :07:31.warmer in the week. The first area of rain has arrived in Northern

:07:32. > :07:35.Ireland and it will push northwards into Scotland and we will seek

:07:36. > :07:39.patchy rain in north-west England and West Wales. Further east,

:07:40. > :07:43.clearer skies and showers continuing with loads of 11 degrees and a

:07:44. > :07:45.strengthening southerly breeze and the wind will freshen through the

:07:46. > :07:46.day. We start with
