:00:24. > :00:30.TfL claim Volkswagon should pay millions for lost revenue

:00:31. > :00:32.on the Congestion Charge but VW says no.

:00:33. > :00:44.The Mayor's war on London's air pollution which he is now waging

:00:45. > :00:46.with the biggest car maker in the world.

:00:47. > :00:49.Sadiq Khan wants Volkswagen to pay ?2.5 million in what he says

:00:50. > :00:51.is unpaid congestion charge fees in the wake of

:00:52. > :00:54.The car maker admitted fitting devices to vehicles

:00:55. > :00:58.to appear greener in tests than they actually were.

:00:59. > :01:01.However, BBC London News has revealed that VW has said it

:01:02. > :01:04.won't be paying a single penny, something the Mayor

:01:05. > :01:09.The behaviour of Volkswagen has been disgraceful.

:01:10. > :01:14.Secondly, the lack of humility from

:01:15. > :01:16.the managing director from Volkswagen.

:01:17. > :01:19.What they should be doing is not simply repairing

:01:20. > :01:25.They should be giving consumers, customers the option of buy-back.

:01:26. > :01:29.But also they should be compensating Londoners for the money we have lost

:01:30. > :01:32.via the congestion charge and also for the poor quality air caused

:01:33. > :01:38.Some 80,000 Londoners bought Volkswagen vehicles fitted

:01:39. > :01:41.with the cheap devices but VW claim that even without them the cars

:01:42. > :01:43.would still be exempt from the congestion charge.

:01:44. > :02:06.That just goes to show that Volkswagen are not taking this

:02:07. > :02:08.seriously and people should really look at

:02:09. > :02:17.Their sense of corporate social responsibility is nil.

:02:18. > :02:25.With 9,000 deaths in the capital each year linked with air pollution,

:02:26. > :02:28.the battle is far from over for the Mayor.

:02:29. > :02:31.He is calling on the Government to hold Volkswagen to account

:02:32. > :02:40.Doctors dealing with heart and cancer patients

:02:41. > :02:43.at St Bartolomew's Hospital are using paint brushes and

:02:44. > :02:48.colouring pens to combat stress and avoid burnout.

:02:49. > :02:51.It's a six-week programme which aims to enable doctors to cope

:02:52. > :02:53.with the intense pressures of the job.

:02:54. > :02:57.Nicola Ford has been finding out more.

:03:04. > :03:09.Today, they are taking part in an art therapy session.

:03:10. > :03:11.The process of making things with your hands is

:03:12. > :03:17.It gives you the opportunity to stop ruminating on

:03:18. > :03:21.the issues of the day, and try and relax.

:03:22. > :03:24.Russell says the therapy helps him with some of the difficult

:03:25. > :03:26.emotional attachments he has to his patients.

:03:27. > :03:33.I have benefited from exploring the psychological aspects

:03:34. > :03:36.of working in cancer, such as dealing with dying patients, or

:03:37. > :03:43.The treatment is backed by hospital managers,

:03:44. > :03:46.who can see their junior doctors need support.

:03:47. > :03:49.Doctors looking after patients, particularly

:03:50. > :03:52.with cancer, they come across an enormous number of very stressful

:03:53. > :03:59.Studies done here at Barts Hospital show that 70% of

:04:00. > :04:02.cancer specialists can suffer from burn-out, and that can

:04:03. > :04:08.The idea of these art sessions is to try and intervene

:04:09. > :04:14.When we did this, we did an inventory where we

:04:15. > :04:16.were basically ranking how we felt about certain things.

:04:17. > :04:18.It was interesting to see how close to

:04:19. > :04:24.The results of the art therapy sessions

:04:25. > :04:26.have shown to reduce the

:04:27. > :04:29.levels of burn-out among junior doctors and it is hoped it can be

:04:30. > :04:37.A five-year-old girl from east London

:04:38. > :04:40.who was fined ?150 by the local council

:04:41. > :04:42.and issued with this ticket for selling homemade lemonade

:04:43. > :04:44.to festival goers has received dozens of offers

:04:45. > :04:49.to set up her own stand at other events.

:04:50. > :04:52.Her family says Borough Market is among the places who've got

:04:53. > :04:58.But the girl's father says "she doesn't seem that keen

:04:59. > :05:05.And now a look at the weather with Elizabeth.
