0:00:00 > 0:00:00very possible. Joe Wilson, BBC News, at Twickenham.

0:00:00 > 0:00:02That's it.

0:00:02 > 0:00:04and I'll be back with the late news at Ten.

0:00:04 > 0:00:07Now on BBC1, it's time for the news where you are.

0:00:07 > 0:00:13Bye for now.

0:00:13 > 0:00:16Good evening, I'm Asad Ahmad.

0:00:16 > 0:00:26The Prime Minister is being urged to "hit

0:00:26 > 0:00:28the Russians where it hurts" - by taking tough measures

0:00:28 > 0:00:30against some multi-millionaires and oligarchs who launder

0:00:30 > 0:00:31money through London.

0:00:31 > 0:00:34The call has come from the MP for Barking, Dame Margaret Hodge -

0:00:34 > 0:00:36who feels now is the time to take action.

0:00:37 > 0:00:38Here's Ali Fortescue.

0:00:38 > 0:00:40Some say this is the start of a new Cold War.

0:00:40 > 0:00:42But what do cooling relations between Britain

0:00:42 > 0:00:43and Russia mean for London?

0:00:43 > 0:00:45Today there have been calls for tough action on Russian

0:00:45 > 0:00:47oligarchs living in the city.

0:00:47 > 0:00:49I support the measures that Theresa May and the government

0:00:49 > 0:00:58have taken so far.

0:00:58 > 0:01:00But they have not hit the Russians where it hurts.

0:01:00 > 0:01:03What we have to do is take strong action to stop the laundering

0:01:03 > 0:01:07of money out of Russia into the city and into London.

0:01:07 > 0:01:09Yesterday police launched a murder enquiry into the death of Russian

0:01:09 > 0:01:10businessman Nikolai Glushkov who was found dead

0:01:10 > 0:01:12at his home in Maldon.

0:01:12 > 0:01:15Detectives say there's no evidence that this was linked

0:01:15 > 0:01:23to the Salisbury poisoning.

0:01:23 > 0:01:25But some say this is a moment to clear London of Russians

0:01:25 > 0:01:28suspected of corruption.

0:01:28 > 0:01:31The only real impact is going to be if we and the international

0:01:31 > 0:01:33community freeze the assets of Russian oligarchs who have

0:01:33 > 0:01:35invested their money abroad, mainly in London.

0:01:35 > 0:01:38So there is a direct connection between the wealth of the oligarchs

0:01:38 > 0:01:39and the Russian government.

0:01:39 > 0:01:45This is Eaton Square but it has been called Red Square by some

0:01:45 > 0:01:47because of the number of Russian oligarchs thought to be living here.

0:01:47 > 0:01:50But some say we should welcome foreign investment in London.

0:01:50 > 0:01:55They say that there are money-laundering checks

0:01:55 > 0:01:56and that the super-rich boost the economy.

0:01:56 > 0:01:59It is important to stress that not all Russian oligarchs or Russian

0:01:59 > 0:02:01businessmen are corrupt or crooked or gangsters.

0:02:01 > 0:02:07We're talking about a small number that are politically connected

0:02:07 > 0:02:12oligarchs and we have no idea of where this money has come from.

0:02:12 > 0:02:16So it is secret dirty money coming into London, but it is a small

0:02:16 > 0:02:21number of oligarchs.

0:02:21 > 0:02:23So as tension between Britain and the Kremlin builds,

0:02:23 > 0:02:26pressure is mounting on the government to

0:02:26 > 0:02:27international money-laundering in the capital.

0:02:27 > 0:02:30A man has died after being shot and stabbed on

0:02:30 > 0:02:32a street in Enfield just after midnight.

0:02:32 > 0:02:35Police were called to South Street - where the victim thought to be aged

0:02:35 > 0:02:37in his 20s died at the scene.

0:02:37 > 0:02:39A second man was taken to hospital.

0:02:39 > 0:02:42Police are appealing for information.

0:02:42 > 0:02:45Hundreds of people have marched to the home of one

0:02:45 > 0:02:47of the country's oldest non-League clubs -

0:02:47 > 0:02:50to voice their anger

0:02:50 > 0:02:53at developers trying to remove Dulwich Hamlet FC from their ground.

0:02:53 > 0:02:56Meadow Residential owns the land where the team has played

0:02:56 > 0:03:02for nearly 90 years - and now wants to remove them.

0:03:02 > 0:03:03High profile figures, including former England player

0:03:03 > 0:03:06Rio Ferdinand are supporting Dulwich Hamlet's fight.

0:03:06 > 0:03:08The Duke of Cambridge has taken the salute

0:03:08 > 0:03:10at the Irish Guards' St Patrick's Day

0:03:10 > 0:03:15parade in west London.

0:03:15 > 0:03:17The Duchess was there too, to present shamrock to officers -

0:03:17 > 0:03:19at the 1st battalion's base in Houslow.

0:03:19 > 0:03:22A shamrock was also pinned to the collar of the battalion's

0:03:22 > 0:03:24mascot, Donal, an Irish Wolfhound - who led the march.

0:03:24 > 0:03:26Prince William, who is a colonel of the Irish Guards.

0:03:26 > 0:03:29The Duchess is due to give birth to the couple's

0:03:29 > 0:03:31third child next month.

0:03:31 > 0:03:34Now the weather with Elizabeth.

0:03:34 > 0:03:36Hello, good evening.

0:03:36 > 0:03:39Many of us have seen a dusting of snow already today

0:03:39 > 0:03:41and there will be further snow showers through this

0:03:41 > 0:03:45evening and overnight.

0:03:45 > 0:03:48We have a Met Office warning out for snow and ice

0:03:48 > 0:03:51for the rest of the weekend, but that has been escalated

0:03:51 > 0:03:54to Amber, the second-highest level of alert for some places and here,

0:03:54 > 0:03:55you should be prepared for some disruption.

0:03:55 > 0:03:58We are expecting bands of snow showers to form

0:03:58 > 0:04:00through the Thames Estuary, aligned with that

0:04:00 > 0:04:01cold easterly wind.

0:04:01 > 0:04:04And where we get those bands of showers, you could expect to see

0:04:04 > 0:04:06accumulations of perhaps five, ten centimetres.

0:04:06 > 0:04:09But even within the bands there will be some places that see

0:04:09 > 0:04:10relatively little snowfall.

0:04:10 > 0:04:12But it will be an icy start to the day tomorrow

0:04:12 > 0:04:14with temperatures down to -2, -3 degrees Celsius.

0:04:14 > 0:04:17The Amber weather warning expires at nine o'clock but we have

0:04:17 > 0:04:19another weather warning out for snow and ice.

0:04:19 > 0:04:21There could still be some problems caused by it.

0:04:21 > 0:04:24But it is looking mostly dry tomorrow, the early snow

0:04:24 > 0:04:29showers will clear away, perhaps a few flurries.

0:04:29 > 0:04:32There will be cloud around but perhaps something a bit brighter

0:04:32 > 0:04:38as we head into the afternoon.

0:04:38 > 0:04:40These will be the highs tomorrow but of course it will feel colder

0:04:40 > 0:04:41than that with the wind chill.

0:04:41 > 0:04:43The wind will switch to more of a northerly

0:04:43 > 0:04:45as we head into Monday.

0:04:45 > 0:04:47It is looking dry, there will be some sunshine,

0:04:47 > 0:04:48temperatures five or 6 degrees.

0:04:48 > 0:04:49That's it.

0:04:49 > 0:04:51I hope you manage to stay warm tonight -

0:04:51 > 0:04:57and have a very good evening.

0:04:58 > 0:05:01and have a very good evening.
