:00:05. > :00:08.In Look East tonight: It's like being a baby, I'm

:00:08. > :00:11.learning to walk again. I'm learning to pick things up. It's a

:00:11. > :00:15.bit mundane, but you've got to do that, you've got to re-train your

:00:15. > :00:18.body. The Essex footballer paralysed in a

:00:18. > :00:21.brawl outside a night club makes his first moves on the road to

:00:21. > :00:23.rehabilitation. His first interview coming up. Hello from Janine and me.

:00:23. > :00:25.Also tonight: More mayhem at Southend pier this

:00:25. > :00:29.time a trawler sails into the structure.

:00:29. > :00:36.There is a boat in the pier. It has rammed the pier. And I thought to

:00:36. > :00:39.myself, here we go again, how many boats are going to ram the pier?

:00:39. > :00:44.Worries tonight for the handyman from Great Yarmouth, who vanished

:00:44. > :00:54.48 hours ago. And it's Stevenage versus Spurs in

:00:54. > :01:04.

:01:04. > :01:07.the Cup. Borough hoping to pull off Hello and welcome to the programme.

:01:07. > :01:12.Southend Pier in Essex will be close this weekend after it was hit

:01:12. > :01:16.by a trawler early this morning. Engineers have been that the peer

:01:16. > :01:21.today to find out how bad the damage is. -- in tears had been at

:01:21. > :01:25.the pier. But has not been a particularly

:01:25. > :01:28.easy day for staff at the visitors' centre of Southend Pier, they have

:01:28. > :01:33.spent all that telling visitors arriving to explore the attraction

:01:33. > :01:37.that it remains closed. They will be doing that over the weekend. The

:01:37. > :01:41.council has, in the past few hours, said that it will be next week at

:01:41. > :01:45.the earliest until it reopens. All of this because of an incident

:01:45. > :01:48.which happened at a quarter of a mile into the estuary.

:01:48. > :01:53.While the weather played a role in some attractions being empty today,

:01:53. > :01:59.others had a different reason. In the early hours of this morning, a

:01:59. > :02:05.collision leaving several cast iron supports and bracing damage. In the

:02:05. > :02:11.long run, this will not have a negative impact. These incidents to

:02:11. > :02:14.opera, and frequently, and we have process is in place to get it right.

:02:14. > :02:18.I am sure that the pier will attract more visitors as to make

:02:18. > :02:24.improvements. Engineers had only just finished repairing damage from

:02:24. > :02:28.a similar collision six months ago. They had no option but to close the

:02:28. > :02:33.world's longest pleasure pier. have friends coming from Germany

:02:33. > :02:42.for a long weekend, and then fought Hitler, the pier is closed. I am

:02:42. > :02:47.disappointed, because I know this beer.

:02:47. > :02:50.Some locals are talking that the structure could be hexed. I presume

:02:50. > :02:55.that something went wrong, a mechanical failure or something on

:02:55. > :02:58.the boat. It is quite an intense job and you must work at what

:02:58. > :03:04.you're doing. Something must have went wrong.

:03:04. > :03:09.The vessel involved now sits in Leigh-on-Sea, its owner declining

:03:09. > :03:16.to speak on camera. It struck shall engineers are yet to assess how

:03:16. > :03:20.badly damaged the peer is, and how long it will be shot for.

:03:20. > :03:23.The local authority has said to me that they do not earn money from

:03:23. > :03:29.the authority from the structure being open, indeed, it cost them

:03:29. > :03:34.money to keep it open. But it is a centre. To their offer to to this.

:03:34. > :03:39.Meanwhile, the Maritime Accident and Investigation Branch CBR aware

:03:39. > :03:44.of the earlier incident, and are making initial inquiries.

:03:44. > :03:48.The country which brought us Abba, Ikea, Volvo and the girl with the

:03:48. > :03:51.dragon tattoo is about to inspire a big change in our education system.

:03:51. > :03:56.The Swedes are promising Free Schools with a difference.

:03:56. > :03:59.As you can imagine, it was a controversial decision when parents

:03:59. > :04:03.in Brandon decided to bring in a Swedish company to help run in

:04:03. > :04:08.their new school. From September, everyone at Breckland Free School

:04:08. > :04:10.has been told to exit -- to expect big changes.

:04:10. > :04:17.Our correspondent has been to Sweden to find out what they can

:04:17. > :04:21.expect. Turn to page 78...

:04:21. > :04:24.In Stockholm, a easier nine English class is underway. Most of the

:04:24. > :04:32.students here are Swedish, but half of the teaching and learning is

:04:32. > :04:39.done in English. I like face hockey. This is one of 17 schools run by i

:04:39. > :04:41.e s, and they all have waiting list. There is a great team of teachers

:04:41. > :04:46.which -- great team of teachers and a great friendly atmosphere between

:04:46. > :04:53.the children and teachers. When it comes to exams, the students get

:04:53. > :04:56.some of the best results in Sweden. The school teachers are also strong

:04:56. > :05:00.on pastoral care, there are equipped games rooms and a full-

:05:00. > :05:08.time counsellor. This will be the philosophy which

:05:08. > :05:14.the company will take to support. We try and strife to teach young

:05:14. > :05:18.individuals, of course that's the subject unimportant, but we look at

:05:18. > :05:23.developing the all-round individual. Within this process, we do work

:05:23. > :05:28.very diligently on the social interaction, teaching the students

:05:28. > :05:32.in very early on good manners. ranges from seeing hollowed in the

:05:32. > :05:36.corridors to learning to put your hand up in class. Parents and

:05:36. > :05:40.pupils will have to sign a contract promising to be here. It is the

:05:40. > :05:44.sort of thing that attracted parents from Brooklyn. They are

:05:44. > :05:48.impressed by their attitude to education, which is about tough

:05:48. > :05:52.love. It is about care for the individual pupil and also giving

:05:53. > :05:58.them the aspiration that confidence to do as well as they can. At last

:05:58. > :06:02.count, there were more than 700 Free Schools in Sweden, teaching

:06:02. > :06:06.96,000 students. Free Schools are now an integral part in the

:06:06. > :06:09.education system here, giving parents plenty of choice. It is

:06:09. > :06:12.also generally accepted that thanks to Free Schools, education

:06:12. > :06:16.standards have improved. There are still a lot of people who

:06:16. > :06:22.are wary about Free Schools. The Swedes believe they can win them

:06:22. > :06:25.over. There is more on education,

:06:25. > :06:29.including a discussion about Free Schools in our sister programme,

:06:29. > :06:34.the Sunday Politics, which is on Sunday at midday.

:06:34. > :06:38.Still to come on the programme: Norwich and Stevenage but all in

:06:38. > :06:41.search of a place in the quarter- finals of the FA Cup.

:06:42. > :06:51.And I will be here to tell you if this piece of winter will be to a

:06:52. > :06:55.

:06:55. > :07:00.The police in Great Yarmouth are becoming increasingly concerned for

:07:00. > :07:05.the welfare of a handy man who has been missing for more than 48 hours.

:07:05. > :07:15.The man, becomes a bit silly from Portugal, was last seen in a market

:07:15. > :07:16.

:07:16. > :07:21.place on lunchtime on Wednesday. -- the man, who comes from Portugal.

:07:21. > :07:26.He has lived with his partner and has two children. Today, and she

:07:26. > :07:36.was up 80 the Facebook page, which she hopes will help find him know.

:07:36. > :07:41.

:07:41. > :07:48.Maria knew something was wrong -- fine Nuno. I try to find him. I

:07:48. > :07:54.went to the police and the hospital. This woman owns the Cafe in Great

:07:54. > :07:57.Yarmouth. She stopped him on Wednesday morning. He was not the

:07:57. > :08:04.happy person that I am used to seeing every day. He seemed a

:08:04. > :08:08.little bet upset. He was last seen here in the market

:08:09. > :08:14.place at half past one on Wednesday afternoon. The person who saw him

:08:14. > :08:18.said he appeared lost. He has a medical condition which caused a

:08:18. > :08:22.minor strokes. He had won in October and could not speak for a

:08:22. > :08:30.month. His family fear something similar has happened this time.

:08:30. > :08:38.think he has lost his memory. I think he could be anywhere but does

:08:39. > :08:43.not know who he is. He is a handyman, who helps look

:08:43. > :08:46.after a rented flat. Police are gradually searching those flats and

:08:46. > :08:54.are asking anyone who may have seen him to call the none of urgency

:08:54. > :09:00.number, one or one. -- 101. A man has been arrested in Poland

:09:00. > :09:05.in connection with the murder of a jeweller in Bury St Edmunds. Pyotr

:09:05. > :09:14.Melaniuk was arrested last night on an unrelated matter. The body of

:09:14. > :09:20.Peter Davis was fence just over a month ago. Three men were found --

:09:20. > :09:23.Peter Avis. There has been another twist in the case of a "Fast Eddie"

:09:23. > :09:27.Maher. Police in America say the arrest happened because they

:09:27. > :09:32.received a telephone call from his daughter of.

:09:32. > :09:35.A quiet neighbourhood in his today, 4,000 miles away. Eddie Maher is

:09:36. > :09:40.being held by detectives in Springfield after being on the run

:09:40. > :09:44.for two decades. 1 million in cash went missing from a security van he

:09:44. > :09:48.was driving out side of Lloyds Bank in Felixstowe. In a previous

:09:48. > :09:52.interview, his son said he knew nothing about his father's past.

:09:52. > :09:56.dad is one of the nicest guys you will need. He has only ever done

:09:56. > :10:01.what is good for us. There is no way he would do this by choice. He

:10:01. > :10:05.would not do it to do it. He does not commit crimes. He is the one

:10:05. > :10:12.who gets me out of trouble. Detectives say that his wife,

:10:12. > :10:14.Jessica, called police on her father more. She believed the

:10:14. > :10:19.information that she received, and really wanted me to believe her

:10:19. > :10:24.story. King told reporters in the US that he had no idea he was

:10:24. > :10:29.English, but these women claimed to be former defence. He is getting

:10:29. > :10:34.sympathy for people, and it is just not true. He knew. He told me that

:10:34. > :10:39.his family was here illegally, which is true, and he told me that

:10:39. > :10:43.it was because his father is an assassin. He told me that his dad

:10:43. > :10:47.had robbed an armoured car in England, and fled to the United

:10:47. > :10:52.States. It was a very unhealthy relationship. I started noticing

:10:52. > :10:57.that he lied about everything. Eddie Maher will appear in court in

:10:57. > :11:04.the US next week. He was declared bankrupt in 2010 with debts of more

:11:04. > :11:08.than 19,000. Suffolk police say it could take months to expect him.

:11:08. > :11:11.Rail passengers face delays this morning after a man was hit by a

:11:11. > :11:17.train at Waterbeach. It affected services on the Norwich to

:11:17. > :11:21.Cambridge line, emergency services were called just after 6am. The man

:11:22. > :11:26.is thought to be 46 years old and from the local area. Bus

:11:26. > :11:30.replacement services ran between Ely and King's Lynn.

:11:30. > :11:34.Growing old and needn't be a barrier when it comes to lending

:11:34. > :11:38.other people a helping hand. For example, take Lucy Norman who lives

:11:38. > :11:42.in Suffolk. She is still working as a volunteer at the age of 97.

:11:42. > :11:48.Were see Norman has been a volunteer for almost 50 years in

:11:48. > :11:53.various guises, at last here has faced her own struggles with

:11:53. > :11:58.loneliness but to continue role. She became a volunteer telephone

:11:58. > :12:02.defender, with a charity Age UK support.

:12:02. > :12:07.She makes regular calls to Dorothy, who is 81 and lives a few miles

:12:07. > :12:11.away, to listen, to reassure. helping people and making people

:12:11. > :12:18.feel better. I do not like people when they are sad if I can help

:12:18. > :12:22.them. That is all I can say. I'd just like helping people. Experts

:12:22. > :12:26.say that all the volunteers alike will receive offers so much.

:12:26. > :12:30.They're often more reliable and committed and less transient than

:12:30. > :12:34.younger people. They have more powers to give and possess very

:12:34. > :12:39.skilled and life experience. The UK population is ageing, very much so,

:12:39. > :12:44.and even more so in the east. I think he volunteering aspect is so

:12:44. > :12:47.important to all charities, to keep going and to help however you can

:12:47. > :12:54.to ensure these services are here when we need them, when we are all

:12:54. > :13:02.there. You are 97 a, what is the secret of keeping active? I have

:13:02. > :13:06.got a boyfriend called Will power. And so, will power comes to me

:13:06. > :13:09.quite often. But I have to give him a push occasionally. She is a

:13:09. > :13:19.special women and the charity hopes to story will encourage other older

:13:27. > :13:36.This is Look East. Coming up: At the day the Queen came to open

:13:36. > :13:39.Addenbrooke's Hospital. A science- fiction film based on the work of a

:13:39. > :13:45.University of East Anglia lecturer has been shown at the Science

:13:45. > :13:50.Museum in London. The film explores the new frontier of stem cell

:13:50. > :13:54.research and the ethical dilemmas for the scientist. It grew from a

:13:54. > :14:01.PhD thesis and tells the story of the potential consequences of the

:14:01. > :14:05.work on family. It is said 33 years in the future, a work of fiction.

:14:05. > :14:11.But the film, funded by the Wellcome Trust, explores the

:14:11. > :14:16.frontiers of stem cell research. Rachel, a brilliant and arrogant

:14:16. > :14:21.young scientist, explains to her granddaughter of its effects on the

:14:21. > :14:29.family. I did something really, really stupid. I didn't think it

:14:29. > :14:33.was, back then. I just wanted people to sit up and take notice.

:14:33. > :14:41.We had run these procedures several times with my son but we had never

:14:41. > :14:48.done it with humans before. -- with mice. I isolated stem cells from my

:14:48. > :14:58.bone marrow. I reprogrammed them to become stone -- sperm cells and I

:14:58. > :15:01.

:15:01. > :15:05.fertilised my own egg. I fertilised The film crew from a PhD thesis by

:15:05. > :15:10.this woman. I think with all scientific research, you don't know

:15:10. > :15:14.where it is going to lead. There is always an element of the unknown. I

:15:14. > :15:18.think it is very important to be doing it with good intentions and

:15:18. > :15:24.good motivation this, and try and four see as much as you can have

:15:24. > :15:29.what is going to result. Much as I love science fiction, the scenario

:15:29. > :15:33.in the film is preposterous. The idea that she could fertilise her

:15:33. > :15:38.own eggs with her own sperm - this would be an incredibly bad idea in

:15:38. > :15:45.terms of genetics. Each of us carries quite a lot of mutations

:15:45. > :15:49.and if you put two together, you end up with very harmful defects.

:15:49. > :15:53.The Catholic Church has strong views on stem cell research but it

:15:53. > :15:57.draws a clear distinction. Embryonic stem cell research the

:15:57. > :16:00.Catholic Church would be against, because it involves creating a

:16:00. > :16:05.human embryo simply to use it to heart as the cells, in the process

:16:05. > :16:08.of which you destroy that human embryo. This particular issue

:16:08. > :16:14.involves the stem cells taken from an adult, which does not destroy

:16:14. > :16:20.the adult, of course, so research using a done -- adults the stem

:16:20. > :16:23.cells is treated differently. film is about sparking debate. As

:16:24. > :16:29.the lead character puts it, if you are going to mess with the

:16:29. > :16:33.fundamentals you had better be sure you are standing on solid ground.

:16:33. > :16:39.The FA Cup takes centre stage this weekend. Norwich and Stevenage are

:16:39. > :16:42.still in, but first some cricket news. Essex have described this as

:16:42. > :16:47.a very sad day following been used their former bowler Mervyn

:16:47. > :16:50.Westfield has been jailed for four months for taking corrupt payments.

:16:50. > :16:55.He is the first English cricketer to be prosecuted for spot fixing.

:16:55. > :17:00.It was claimed in sport -- in court that he was targeted by eight

:17:00. > :17:05.Danish Kaneria, who set up the deal. What a time to be playing Tottenham.

:17:05. > :17:08.That is what is in store for Stevenage this weekend. The Spurs

:17:09. > :17:13.boss is being heavily tipped to take over the England job.

:17:13. > :17:17.Stevenage have never made it this far, to round five, before.

:17:17. > :17:23.Stevenage have become accustomed to making history - play-offs,

:17:23. > :17:27.promotions, trapeze, they take it all in their stride. -- trophies.

:17:27. > :17:33.It was business as usual preparing for Spurs, but the FA Cup was never

:17:33. > :17:37.far from their minds. My time at Stevenage has been all about making

:17:37. > :17:41.history. It is the first time the club has been in the 5th round and

:17:41. > :17:46.you could not ask for better opposition. Spurs have won this

:17:46. > :17:50.trophy eight times. Add to that two League titles, four League Cups,

:17:50. > :17:54.and they are currently third in the Premier League. Few would give that

:17:54. > :17:58.Stevenage a prayer. But in this competition, you never know.

:17:58. > :18:02.Undoubtedly underdogs and rightly so, given the circumstances we find

:18:02. > :18:07.ourselves in. There will be a tremendous amount of respect for

:18:07. > :18:17.not just the team and the squad that Spurs will be bringing, but to

:18:17. > :18:19.

:18:19. > :18:23.a fantastic manager and coaching One Harry Redknapp, that is the cry

:18:23. > :18:28.from White Hart Lane. In three years, the manager has transformed

:18:28. > :18:33.Tottenham. They are now genuine title contenders. For many, Harry

:18:33. > :18:40.Redknapp is the only man to lead England. Spurs'' attractive brand

:18:40. > :18:44.of the ball has won admirers all over. Against a club by follow and

:18:44. > :18:48.started my career rat - what a fantastic day for the town of

:18:48. > :18:53.Stevenage. The club is in rude health - successful on and off the

:18:53. > :18:56.pitch. We are financially solvent and debt-free. We have invested

:18:56. > :19:02.lots of money in the infrastructure and we have got a successful

:19:02. > :19:07.football team. Do you rely upon income from the FA Cup? No, we

:19:07. > :19:13.would always figure to get out of the FA Cup but we do not go crazy.

:19:13. > :19:20.We are very careful about how we spend windfall money. It is another

:19:20. > :19:25.memorable season. Can the players make it magical? It is 20 years

:19:25. > :19:32.since a orach last played in the quarter-finals. -- Norwich. James

:19:32. > :19:37.Baughan is back in the squad. He has been injured since September.

:19:37. > :19:43.am expecting Norwich to win. It is not long since we were playing them

:19:43. > :19:47.ourselves. We went back there and gave them a lift. It is a very good

:19:47. > :19:52.side and this has a hard game for us. Away from the Cup, in the

:19:52. > :19:57.championship, Ipswich are at four four wins in a row. Peterborough,

:19:57. > :20:01.who have not played -- not won since Boxing Day, play Bristol City.

:20:01. > :20:06.MK Dons are playing Oldham tomorrow and there has been some movement at

:20:06. > :20:11.Colchester. Gavin Massey has gone back to Watford and the team have

:20:11. > :20:15.signed Freddie Sears on loan from West Ham to replace him. No game

:20:15. > :20:18.for Northampton but Southend are in action. They beat Gillingham on

:20:18. > :20:24.Monday with some strong words from the manager having the desired

:20:24. > :20:28.effect. Southend take on Crewe. Their away form is excellent

:20:28. > :20:33.compared to their home form so it is going to be a difficult game.

:20:33. > :20:38.They smacked us big time last year, so it is a dangerous team if you

:20:38. > :20:42.give them opportunities to play. couple of rugby matches tomorrow.

:20:42. > :20:47.Northampton play Sale. They lost narrowly last week. Bedford, who

:20:47. > :20:57.are third in the championship, are away to Moseley. Let me introduce

:20:57. > :20:58.

:20:58. > :21:03.you to the BBC Look East Olympic The games are just 161 days away.

:21:03. > :21:07.The excitement is building with each passing second. You will be

:21:07. > :21:14.seeing plenty more of this clock in the weeks to come. Meanwhile, all

:21:14. > :21:24.eyes are on the velodrome in London for the cycling world Cup. Victoria

:21:24. > :21:28.

:21:28. > :21:31.Pendleton is in the final of the I love that clock! They say a 50th

:21:31. > :21:39.birthday is something to celebrate. Of course, personally, I wouldn't

:21:39. > :21:44.know! But a team at Addenbrooke's Hospital certainly doesn't know. In

:21:44. > :21:50.1962, the Queen performed the official ceremony. -- certainly

:21:50. > :21:56.does know a. Today, the team at Addenbrooke's appealed for help to

:21:56. > :22:00.make it a very special birthday. I should say a very warm welcome to

:22:00. > :22:05.the New Addenbrooke's building, as it is still referred, despite being

:22:05. > :22:08.the best part of half a century old! This is a world-famous

:22:08. > :22:13.hospital. Most people have heard of it but not everyone realises just

:22:13. > :22:19.how big it is. If I tell you that over 7,000 staff a ride him at work

:22:19. > :22:27.every day and it is over 70 acres across, we get a rough idea. --

:22:27. > :22:33.arrived here at work. There is the Queen, being greeted by a doctor

:22:33. > :22:38.of... It was sunny. She wore a yellow dress. Filmed on this cine

:22:38. > :22:42.camera, a doctor captured the moment the new hospital was born.

:22:42. > :22:47.This that it has not been seen outside his family until today.

:22:47. > :22:52.Everybody was very worked up that the Queen was going to visit. The

:22:52. > :22:56.Queen was very impressed with what she saw. This wonderful film

:22:56. > :23:00.captures the essence of a bygone era. A younger hospital, a younger

:23:00. > :23:03.Queen, but it could be just a fraction of what is out there. In

:23:04. > :23:08.the bowels of the building, in the hospital archives, there is a

:23:08. > :23:11.record of everything that has happened in this hospital's 50 year

:23:11. > :23:15.life, including the big day. There is the register the Queen signed

:23:15. > :23:19.and the pain she signed up with. But they want more than just that -

:23:19. > :23:22.they need your memories. We would like to hear from members of the

:23:22. > :23:27.public, whether they were patient, a member of staff or just came to

:23:27. > :23:31.see the Queen on the day. If you have got any photographs or video

:23:31. > :23:35.clips or audio clips, anything that could help us to supply a memory

:23:35. > :23:39.bank, we would love to hear from you. Those who have already been in

:23:39. > :23:44.touch had a chance to swap memories today. She was slightly magical.

:23:44. > :23:49.She was quite young, but older than me. She was just entrance in and

:23:49. > :23:55.beautiful. My claim to fame was the be that I had the honour of

:23:55. > :24:00.standing in for Her Majesty at the dress rehearsal. I was very

:24:00. > :24:06.surprised that I was so tired after it, being about the same age as the

:24:06. > :24:13.Queen. My respect for her went up enormously at how tiring these sort

:24:13. > :24:17.of days must be. This is the room. This is where we are, just there.

:24:17. > :24:22.The photo shows the Queen having a good look at your leg. What did she

:24:22. > :24:28.say? She hopes that I would get it completely better. And is it

:24:28. > :24:32.better? Yes, I got 90% of the use back. From the foundation stone

:24:32. > :24:39.going into the first patients bedding down, it took three years.

:24:40. > :24:43.Since then, the building work has not stopped. Can we say a very big

:24:43. > :24:47.thank you to everyone in that film for sharing their memories? Now it

:24:47. > :24:51.is your turn at home. As you heard, the hospital wants to hear from you

:24:51. > :24:55.if you were here run that magical day. Alternatively, send your

:24:55. > :24:59.pictures and footage to us at Look East and we will send it on to them

:24:59. > :25:08.on your behalf. If you are wondering how might broke his leg,

:25:08. > :25:12.he fell off his bike! I Love To Sheila being the Queen's stand-in.

:25:12. > :25:15.I liked the man eating this week when the Queen was walking by!

:25:15. > :25:18.were planning to bring you an interview with the Essex footballer

:25:19. > :25:22.who has been recovering from serious injuries at Stoke

:25:22. > :25:26.Mandeville Hospital, but we had some technical problems which got

:25:26. > :25:36.in the way. We will hear from him on the programme on Monday. Our

:25:36. > :25:43.

:25:43. > :25:46.Very mild weather at the moment. The cold front is coming along and

:25:46. > :25:53.is presently to the north-west of Scotland. It will come a long

:25:53. > :25:57.tomorrow. That will bring some rain. A cloudy and mild for the weekend.

:25:57. > :26:02.Nothing particularly wet but the breeze and cloud will stop the

:26:02. > :26:08.temperatures falling to below. A moderate to fresh south-westerly

:26:08. > :26:14.wind picking up. I think it will start dry, but this set of fronts

:26:14. > :26:19.will come through, bringing rain, followed by colder weather. It will

:26:19. > :26:24.be a lot colder. A cloudy start to the day with the rain becoming more

:26:24. > :26:29.extensive as the day progresses. The last band of rain will mark the

:26:29. > :26:35.change to colder weather. It will brighten up but also turn a much

:26:35. > :26:40.colder because these temperatures are way above average. They are

:26:40. > :26:44.going to drop as the cold weather arrives. A touch of frost is likely

:26:45. > :26:49.tomorrow evening and on Saturday night. For the outlook, we have a

:26:49. > :26:54.problem to deal with - how long does winter last? Not very long.

:26:54. > :27:00.The high pressure will give us a bright, cold day on Sunday. But by

:27:00. > :27:05.Tuesday, it is mild south-westerly winds again, so it is just going to

:27:05. > :27:13.be a brief return of the cold air. Saturday starts mild then turns

:27:13. > :27:18.colder and brighter. Watch out for icy roads on Saturday night. It

:27:18. > :27:21.will feel quite well on Sunday. That will bring the milder air back

:27:21. > :27:26.again, and though we have some patchy rain towards the middle of

:27:26. > :27:31.the week, we will bring in the milder weather again. Saturday and
