:00:06. > :00:10.On Look East tonight: The Luton housing estate at the centre of a

:00:10. > :00:14.raid by counter terrorism police. Five men are arrested and houses

:00:14. > :00:16.are searched. Hello from Stewart and me. Also

:00:17. > :00:22.tonight: A message alert from Talk Talk -

:00:22. > :00:26.it's closing its call centre in Northampton. 170 jobs will be lost.

:00:26. > :00:30.More than 250 police officers take part in one of the region's biggest

:00:30. > :00:40.drugs raids. And the mother from Essex who was

:00:40. > :00:46.

:00:46. > :00:50.worried about paying her bills Counter terrorism officers swooped

:00:50. > :00:54.on a housing estate in Luton today and arrested five men at five

:00:54. > :00:56.separate addresses. All five are tonight being held in central

:00:56. > :00:58.London.$$NEWLINE Officers from the Metropolitan Police and

:00:58. > :01:08.Bedfordshire Police launched their operation at seven o'clock this

:01:08. > :01:08.

:01:08. > :01:11.morning. The addresses were all on the town's Bury Park Estate.

:01:11. > :01:13.Scotland Yard said then men were arrested on "suspicion of the

:01:13. > :01:16.commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism".

:01:16. > :01:24.Let's get the latest now from our home affairs correspondent Sally

:01:24. > :01:28.Chidzoy. Good evening from outside the high-

:01:28. > :01:32.security Paddington Green police station in central London. This is

:01:32. > :01:39.where the five men from Luton are being held. They were arrested,

:01:39. > :01:44.police say, early this morning, around 7am, on suspicion of the

:01:44. > :01:49.preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism. They are aged between

:01:49. > :01:58.21 and 35. They were picked up from five house is a cross Luton, from

:01:58. > :02:06.five roads. This was a block of flats where they took one of the

:02:06. > :02:11.men out. This is being seen as significant, but the public were

:02:11. > :02:17.not in imminent danger. Let's say These raids were part of a breed

:02:17. > :02:22.planned intelligence led operation. These arrests formed part of the

:02:22. > :02:27.operation Nimrod, linked to search is on five properties in Luton. In

:02:27. > :02:32.September, no arrests were made. All five addresses will be

:02:32. > :02:36.thoroughly searched for the next 24 hours and close family members

:02:36. > :02:40.linked to those who have been arrested have been asked to leave

:02:40. > :02:44.those premises to facilitate the borough and forensic searches by

:02:44. > :02:48.police officers. Meanwhile the men will continue to be arrested here

:02:48. > :02:53.at the police station behind me. Police, under the Terrorism Act,

:02:53. > :02:59.can hold these men for up to 48 hours then they can apply for a

:02:59. > :03:02.series of extensions up to 14 days. In Luton tonight, the police are

:03:02. > :03:05.continuing their search of houses on the Bury Park Estate, and

:03:05. > :03:13.there's also concern locally at a planned march by the English

:03:13. > :03:19.Defence League. For Luton and the people who live

:03:19. > :03:22.here, a sense of deja-vu. Same five addresses, same five people

:03:23. > :03:30.arrested as in raids six months ago. Little further understanding as to

:03:30. > :03:36.what it means. 23-year-old Umar Arshad lives with his wife, a six-

:03:36. > :03:40.month-old son and extended family. They have said it is in relation to

:03:40. > :03:45.the previous arrest warrants and search warrants they had. That is

:03:45. > :03:51.all they can tell us, nothing else. Very annoying. I have been in

:03:51. > :03:54.contact with the previous team that came in September on a regular

:03:54. > :04:00.basis to obtain the property back, but under these laws they can do

:04:00. > :04:06.what they want and how they want to. But it is specifically your brother

:04:06. > :04:09.they are interested in? Yes, that's right. Did they tell you why?

:04:09. > :04:16.they have just confirmed that he had a certain number of friends,

:04:16. > :04:21.who they have also arrested, and that is about it. Are they friends

:04:21. > :04:24.you approve of? They are not even his friends. I told the officers

:04:24. > :04:28.this as well, they have been seen together because they trained in

:04:28. > :04:34.the same gym and they go to the mosque like every other person, but

:04:34. > :04:37.they are not specific, socialising friends. I have print to their

:04:37. > :04:41.houses, has spoken to their families and they have confirmed

:04:41. > :04:44.that they had never heard of my brother all seen him. The

:04:44. > :04:50.individuals confirmed they have seen each other, but they are not

:04:50. > :04:56.really friends. This is not the first can do term as an operation

:04:56. > :04:59.on the streets of Luton. -- counter-terrorism operation. There

:04:59. > :05:03.believes have links to the so- called Luton sell who were plotting

:05:03. > :05:09.simultaneous bomb attacks in New York and London before their arrest

:05:09. > :05:17.in 2004. The Stockholm bomber, seemingly a loan operative, also

:05:17. > :05:21.live with his wife and child in Luton. The extremism has been

:05:21. > :05:28.countered with extremism and the birth of the English Defence League.

:05:28. > :05:36.Take them off our streets! We can go to Westminster now and

:05:36. > :05:40.speak to the Luton South MP Gavin Shuker. How worried are you as the

:05:40. > :05:45.local MP that where for another English Defence League march coming

:05:45. > :05:50.soon and these arrests but today that tensions are rising again?

:05:50. > :05:54.Obviously, I am glad to see that this police operation went

:05:54. > :06:00.peacefully today. It seems to have been well planned and executed.

:06:00. > :06:04.What I would say is that we are coming into a period of time, the

:06:04. > :06:07.next 10 days or so, running up to the English Defence League Marg,

:06:07. > :06:12.where residents have to stand up and say they do not want to be

:06:12. > :06:15.involved in extremism of any kind. My fear is the events of today

:06:15. > :06:22.might serve those people who would want to promote extremism within

:06:22. > :06:26.our town. We hear that in Bury Park Estate itself, there is concern

:06:26. > :06:31.their voice is not being heard, especially with the march coming up,

:06:31. > :06:34.and they would be tempted to join anti-fascist protests? On May 5th,

:06:34. > :06:39.we are going to have protests from the English Defence League and from

:06:39. > :06:44.those that oppose them. My message to people would be really clear:

:06:44. > :06:49.The best way we can respond to the threat of extremism of all types is

:06:49. > :06:52.to go about our everyday lives on a 5th. I am sure there will be many

:06:52. > :06:56.people that want to come at a protest against the English Defence

:06:56. > :07:00.League, and they understand that motivation, but I want to be clear

:07:00. > :07:04.that actually despite the many stories about Luton been a home for

:07:05. > :07:09.extremism, by and large the vast majority of residents just want to

:07:09. > :07:13.get along and they feared that will provide a great opportunity, if we

:07:14. > :07:17.are wise about it, to show that. remember talking to you at the time

:07:17. > :07:20.of the last March a year ago and a lot of work has been done in the

:07:20. > :07:24.community since then. How concerned by your debt that will now be

:07:24. > :07:28.undone? You are right to say that there has been a lot of work been

:07:28. > :07:33.done by local face groups, local authorities and local residents.

:07:33. > :07:37.The key thing is for us to safeguard that. But there was a

:07:37. > :07:40.threat, we all recognise it, last year from the English Defence

:07:40. > :07:43.League march and the results around it. I don't want this to be

:07:43. > :07:47.complacent and to imagine that everything will be fine this time

:07:47. > :07:51.around. That is why the police are engaging properly with protesters

:07:51. > :07:59.and why the local authority is taking a lead in this to make sure

:07:59. > :08:02.we have a peaceful day. Thank you very much.

:08:02. > :08:05.In other news tonight, the phone company Talk Talk is closing its

:08:05. > :08:08.call centre in Northampton. 170 jobs are under threat. The news

:08:08. > :08:10.comes just days after the clothing company Aquascutum in nearby Corby

:08:10. > :08:13.went bust. The details now from our Northamptonshire reporter, Stuart

:08:13. > :08:17.Ratcliffe. Stuart, what's the latest on the situation at

:08:17. > :08:22.Aquascutum? Talk Talk's offices are on the

:08:22. > :08:26.second floor of this building and they said it needs to close the

:08:26. > :08:31.Northampton call -- call-centre because it needs to simplify its

:08:31. > :08:36.operations. The news has come out of the blue because Talk Talk had

:08:36. > :08:39.said last year that the Northampton call centre was safe. The news

:08:40. > :08:43.about the job losses comes at a time when a new exhibition has

:08:44. > :08:48.opened in Northampton this week which is all about job creation.

:08:48. > :08:53.Unemployment in Northampton now stands at 4.3 %, just above the

:08:53. > :08:57.national average. But the council here is convinced that the medium

:08:57. > :09:01.to long-term outlook for the town is pausing. This week it laid out

:09:01. > :09:06.an interactive map of the town showcasing 15 regeneration projects,

:09:06. > :09:10.and in terms of jobs their biggest hope is the town's proposed

:09:10. > :09:13.Enterprise Zone, designed to be a hub for engineering. The council

:09:13. > :09:18.says it has the potential to eventually deliver 17,000 new jobs

:09:18. > :09:25.will stock the enterprise zone is the largest in the country, very

:09:26. > :09:30.important for our local economy. Another major scheme is the long

:09:30. > :09:34.awaited plans to double the size of the town's shopping centre. These

:09:34. > :09:38.plans have been on the drawing board for more than 15 years.

:09:38. > :09:42.these types of projects, they are so big and complicated. You can see

:09:42. > :09:46.the scale of what is proposed and they do take some time to get going.

:09:46. > :09:51.Northampton has taken a bit of time to get there, but we are at that

:09:51. > :09:54.point where we are starting to fly. It will be our job, particularly

:09:54. > :10:00.when we are facing economic austerity across the country, to

:10:00. > :10:05.really push into the economic prosperity of Northamptonshire. It

:10:05. > :10:09.is up to was to push it and make sure that at least a good number of

:10:09. > :10:12.these projects you see here today come to fruition.

:10:12. > :10:17.The brewer Carlsberg is committed to a new multi-million-pound

:10:17. > :10:21.bottling plant in the town, also a promising sign. Back at the

:10:21. > :10:24.exhibition, with dates printed on the floors as to when many plants

:10:25. > :10:33.will get underway perhaps there is a growing sense that this vision of

:10:33. > :10:38.the future is a vision that is getting that bit closer.

:10:38. > :10:43.There might be a glimmer of hope for the workers in Corby. Yesterday

:10:43. > :10:46.the BBC spoke to the investor from Manchester who impressed -- has

:10:46. > :10:51.expressed an interest in buying across Britain. We believe he will

:10:51. > :10:55.go to the factory on Thursday to meet with administrators. Everybody,

:10:55. > :10:59.the unions and workers, are hoping a deal can be done.

:10:59. > :11:02.Thank you very much. There's lots more to come on Look

:11:02. > :11:04.East, including the political fall- out from Nadine Dorries' swipe at

:11:04. > :11:07.the Prime Minister. If you are out and about tomorrow,

:11:07. > :11:12.watch out for some heavy rain. The full forecast later.

:11:12. > :11:17.And Kevin Burch meets our newest millionaire.

:11:17. > :11:21.We are in deepest Essex and it is wet and miserable, but there is one

:11:21. > :11:27.person in here who is incredibly happy and it is all to do with this,

:11:27. > :11:37.a bumper cheque. She is duly stars, a single mum and has always had to

:11:37. > :11:40.worry about money, until now. -- 27 people were arrested this

:11:40. > :11:43.morning in drugs raids in four of our counties. Several hundred

:11:43. > :11:51.officers took part. It's been described as one the biggest drugs

:11:51. > :12:01.operations here in recent years. This morning was not about knocking

:12:01. > :12:08.

:12:08. > :12:17.on doors. It was about breaking Go, go, go! We Here officers move

:12:17. > :12:23.from room to room. Upstairs, they find someone there. Moments later,

:12:23. > :12:27.handcuffed, he is led away, arrested on suspicion to conspiracy

:12:27. > :12:35.to supply drugs. Dozens of doors were bashed in

:12:35. > :12:41.using wannabes at exactly the same time, 7am. -- one of these are.

:12:41. > :12:45.Elite 300 officers from Cambridgeshire took part. 150 in

:12:45. > :12:49.Northamptonshire. Once in the planning, this was the largest

:12:49. > :12:55.drugs operation in the region recently. In Northamptonshire, 10

:12:55. > :13:02.people were arrested in five paces. In Cambridgeshire, 15 arrests. In

:13:02. > :13:05.all, nearly a dozen raids. In Essex, one arrest, one in Chelmsford and

:13:05. > :13:10.another near Bury St Edmunds. we have got the convictions, we

:13:10. > :13:20.will be looking to take their houses, cars, money, as we are

:13:20. > :13:23.allowed to do so and making them having a miserable summer. We want

:13:23. > :13:28.to stop spreading the misery and addiction and Cambridge share.

:13:28. > :13:31.Suspected cocaine dealers were the target and officers also found a

:13:31. > :13:35.cannabis back to bowl stop their aim was to break up what they

:13:35. > :13:38.believe is organised drugs dealing. They are thought to be making vast

:13:38. > :13:41.amounts of money. The director of nursing at the

:13:41. > :13:44.James Paget Hospital in Gorleston has left after just eight months in

:13:44. > :13:47.the job. Carole Crocker is said to be "pursuing other opportunities"

:13:47. > :13:51.within the health service. Last week the new chief executive said

:13:51. > :13:55.he would be looking to make changes to the management. An interim

:13:55. > :13:58.director of nursing starts next week.

:13:58. > :14:03.Tributes have been paid today to 18-year-old Dale Carlier who died

:14:03. > :14:08.after a car hit a wall at Billericay in Essex on Saturday. Mr

:14:08. > :14:11.Carlier was from Hutton, near Brentwood. His family said he was

:14:11. > :14:13.always well dressed kept himself extremely fit and hoped to become a

:14:13. > :14:16.police officer. A former bouncer from Essex accused

:14:16. > :14:20.of killing his ex-partner and their daughter has been described in

:14:20. > :14:23.court as a Jekyll and Hyde character. David Oakes denies

:14:23. > :14:26.killing Christine and Shania Chambers in June last year. A

:14:26. > :14:34.jury's been told how his relationship with Miss Chambers had

:14:34. > :14:38.ended and they were fighting for custody of Shania.

:14:38. > :14:42.Amanda Thompson, the woman in the blue scarf, lived next door to

:14:42. > :14:48.Christine Chambers. This morning she was in court to give evidence.

:14:48. > :14:52.She was questioned by a lawyer who is the man on the right. He is the

:14:52. > :14:56.QC leading the prosecution. She told the jury she saw Christine

:14:56. > :15:00.Chambers most days in Braintree, the street where they lived and

:15:00. > :15:05.where the shootings happened. She said David Oakes had been kind to

:15:05. > :15:09.her, but she described him as a Jekyll and Hyde character.

:15:09. > :15:13.Then she told the jury that David Oakes had been violent towards

:15:13. > :15:17.Christine Chambers. She had had to lend her friend make-up to cover up

:15:17. > :15:22.black eyes. She said on one occasion, Christine Chambers was at

:15:22. > :15:27.her house when David Oakes appeared and tracked her by the hair all the

:15:27. > :15:32.way back to their house. She was asked if she had heard gunshots on

:15:32. > :15:37.the night that Christine and Shania Chambers died and she said no.

:15:37. > :15:40.This is David Oakes at an earlier court hearing. His face shows the

:15:40. > :15:44.injuries he suffered when he turned the shotgun on himself. The jury

:15:44. > :15:48.has been told he was devastated his relationship with Christine

:15:48. > :15:54.Chambers was over. He told her if she was not with him, she would not

:15:54. > :15:58.be with anyone else. He denies murder, saying the first shots in

:15:58. > :16:01.the house that night last June were fired by Christine Chambers. The

:16:01. > :16:04.trial continues. The owners of car manufacturer

:16:04. > :16:07.Lotus Group say they have not decided to sell the company which

:16:07. > :16:12.is based in Norfolk. Malaysian corporation DRB Hicom said it was

:16:12. > :16:15.undertaking an operations audit on Lotus. But it said it didn't know

:16:15. > :16:25.the source of speculation that it was selling the brand to China

:16:25. > :16:27.

:16:27. > :16:30.Youngman. It's also denied it would put Lotus in administration.

:16:30. > :16:33.Work is underway to clean the panels of stained glass at

:16:33. > :16:35.Blickling Hall near Aylsham. 12 panels are being removed as part of

:16:35. > :16:41.the final stage of a restoration project.

:16:41. > :16:44.12 a stained-glass panels dating back to the 16th and 17th centuries,

:16:44. > :16:51.today carefully removed from the place in the window taken down to

:16:51. > :16:55.be cleaned and preserved. I have it. This fall is no different from your

:16:55. > :16:58.domestic call -- home and you have to paint your doors and windows

:16:58. > :17:03.because if you don't, they would be great and caused a much larger

:17:03. > :17:07.problem in the end. A couple of them have been degrading this week

:17:07. > :17:14.and water has penetrated so we need to keep a close watch on what is

:17:14. > :17:19.happening to the glass. The glass panels in Blickling Hall

:17:19. > :17:23.have been there for hundreds of years, originating from Europe, and

:17:23. > :17:29.the emerging from Norwich. These are internationally important

:17:29. > :17:34.panels, mainly German. They were installed in protective ways, to

:17:34. > :17:38.protect them from cycles of consent -- condensation which damage them.

:17:38. > :17:44.We are finding residue of resin and wax on the surface which we are

:17:44. > :17:48.cleaning off with a scalpel, and swaps of acetone.

:17:48. > :17:52.After the cleaning process, each panel is photographed, catalogue

:17:52. > :17:56.and put back into its original position. This latest spring-clean

:17:56. > :18:06.marks the final stage of a bigger project to preserve the hall. All

:18:06. > :18:11.

:18:11. > :18:14.12 panels are expected to be placed There's been a mixed reaction today

:18:14. > :18:17.to yesterday's attack on the Prime Minister by the Bedfordshire MP

:18:17. > :18:19.Nadine Dorries. You'll remember she called Mr Cameron and his

:18:19. > :18:23.Chancellor George Osbourne "arrogant posh boys" out of touch

:18:23. > :18:29.with real people. The Conservative Association in Nadine Dorries's

:18:29. > :18:31.constituency said her views did not represent the local party. But some

:18:31. > :18:35.voters in her Mid Bedfordshire constituency supported what she had

:18:35. > :18:39.to say and today, other Tory MPs in the region said they were worried

:18:39. > :18:45.about the government's recent performance. Our political

:18:45. > :18:50.correspondent Andrew Sinclair is here.

:18:50. > :18:55.I think not only are camera and was buoyed two posh boys who do not

:18:55. > :18:58.know the price of milk, but they are two arrogance posh boys forced

:18:58. > :19:06.of Nadine Dorries says she is a passionate conservative who cares

:19:06. > :19:11.about her party. Her her attack on the Prime Minister and Chancellor...

:19:11. > :19:15.She should not have said it, but I do agree with the meaning behind it.

:19:15. > :19:19.I would expect someone working for me to have a bit of authority.

:19:19. > :19:23.don't think they have got a clue what it is like to have to worry

:19:23. > :19:28.about where the next meal might come from. I think they are rich

:19:28. > :19:35.boys who have been privileged, not many people off. I agree, good on

:19:35. > :19:39.her. If I was a leader and she was one of my team, I would look pretty

:19:39. > :19:43.dimly at what she said. Nadine Dorries has always had a

:19:43. > :19:46.reputation in her constituency for speaking her mind. She told the BBC

:19:46. > :19:50.last year she has always caused controversy because she believes

:19:50. > :19:54.passionately about issues. But today her local Conservative

:19:54. > :19:58.Association was keen to distance itself from a comments, saying she

:19:58. > :20:01.expressed a personal opinions and it would have been courteous to

:20:01. > :20:07.advise the Association prior to expand in them. And they are not

:20:07. > :20:11.the only ones. A fellow Tory backbencher says she is wrong.

:20:11. > :20:17.think it was misplaced. The government is doing things that are

:20:17. > :20:20.helping people who are doing the right thing, who are -- we want to

:20:20. > :20:24.get on in life, things like capping benefits, making sure it always

:20:24. > :20:28.pays to work. But some commentators say the

:20:28. > :20:31.Conservative Party is losing direction. Once the local elections

:20:31. > :20:36.are over, I hope David Cameron will sit down with some of his critics,

:20:36. > :20:38.listen to what they have said and try and produce a more of a

:20:38. > :20:42.balanced inclusive Conservative Party.

:20:43. > :20:47.Nadine Dorries remains unrepentant. She says she wants the heart of

:20:47. > :20:51.government to reflect true Conservative principles.

:20:51. > :20:56.Our political correspondent Andrew Sinclair is here. How widespread

:20:56. > :21:00.are Nadine Dorries' views among our local MPs? Most MPs think that

:21:00. > :21:03.Nadine Dorries went too far yesterday in her criticisms, but

:21:03. > :21:07.with one exception every MP from the region who I have spoken to

:21:07. > :21:10.today understands where she is coming from and has a fair degree

:21:10. > :21:13.of sympathy. There is a feeling within the party that the

:21:13. > :21:18.government is losing his grip, and this is not coming from the usual

:21:18. > :21:22.suspects, this is coming from Cameron loyalists. One senior MP

:21:22. > :21:25.said if we cannot get our act together soon, this will be

:21:25. > :21:29.terminal. A senior peer from the region said, Margaret Thatcher

:21:29. > :21:35.always knew he had to think about the sea ones and the tours. David

:21:35. > :21:39.Cameron does not get out. Another MP said, Cameron and Osborne have

:21:39. > :21:42.done it in two years what it took seven years today previously. Some

:21:42. > :21:47.regions are having face-to-face conversations with the Prime

:21:47. > :21:49.Minister about this and I am told he is listening. It seems as though

:21:49. > :21:53.the list of backbenchers who are unhappy with the government is

:21:53. > :21:58.growing by the day. Yes, and a lot of them seem to be from our region.

:21:58. > :22:01.Last week, another MP who criticise the but on this programme was

:22:01. > :22:05.publicly slapped down in the Commons. He asked what most people

:22:05. > :22:08.thought was sensible, but this is what the Prime Minister set.

:22:08. > :22:17.There are few occasions where I think the Honourable Gentleman does

:22:17. > :22:22.need a sense of humour. Just listen to the billing and

:22:22. > :22:25.gasps of surprise. Another MP said at the weekend that she thought

:22:25. > :22:29.David Cameron needs to take his backbenchers Mork see it --

:22:29. > :22:33.seriously. Then we have got all those Euro-sceptic MPs from

:22:33. > :22:36.Northamptonshire. Why does this matter? Because the upset

:22:36. > :22:41.backbenchers can be a nuisance for the government and cannot find up

:22:41. > :22:44.to birds, can ask awkward questions and no prime minister wants to go.

:22:44. > :22:48.Thank you very much. Julie Styles is a single mum with

:22:48. > :22:51.two children who is the first to admit that it's been a bit of a

:22:51. > :22:54.struggle making ends meet. But not anymore, because Julie, who's from

:22:54. > :22:57.Essex, has just scooped 1.6 million on the lottery. Kevin Burch

:22:57. > :23:04.has been to meet a very happy lady. His report does contain some flash

:23:04. > :23:11.photography. First in, the big cheque followed

:23:11. > :23:16.closely by the big winner. The tears came courtesy of Julie's

:23:16. > :23:19.family at the back of the room who, she says, will be well looked after,

:23:19. > :23:28.although at first they thought she was having a laugh when she broke

:23:28. > :23:31.the news that she was 1,645,000 richer. They did not believe me it

:23:31. > :23:39.worse -- at first and thought it was an April Fool's. But I was

:23:39. > :23:44.still in shock. Any plans for the money? I'm frightened, but that is

:23:44. > :23:50.only natural, I suppose. It is daunting. I have just increased my

:23:50. > :23:55.hours are worked because we needed the money. Life changing. That

:23:55. > :23:59.life-changing moment came thanks to wait lotto ticket bought on Friday

:23:59. > :24:04.13th. She did not take it until one week later and at first thought her

:24:04. > :24:08.winnings would be modest fall start I thought I had won about 4,000 or

:24:09. > :24:13.5,000. In the meantime, my sister had rung up and said that I had all

:24:13. > :24:17.the numbers. Even when you thought you had won a few 1,000, he was so

:24:17. > :24:21.shocked that you did not take you shopping! Yes, my sister had to go

:24:21. > :24:27.back and pay for it for me! What was the feeling when you found that

:24:27. > :24:34.was my shock, I kept saying, oh my God.

:24:34. > :24:40.I could not believe it, I was fishing at the time. I had to keep

:24:40. > :24:47.it from my friends who were down there. So happy for her, she is

:24:47. > :24:50.struggling and it's amazing. says the good things don't happen

:24:50. > :24:55.to people like her. There is only one question left and that is where

:24:55. > :25:00.are we going for lunch? The Ritz! That would be nice. Are you paying

:25:00. > :25:06.or am I? I will pay! Among the real spending priorities

:25:06. > :25:11.will be a holiday, they had already bought one in November at Butlins.

:25:11. > :25:15.Julie admits she would not mind going somewhere hot in the meantime.

:25:15. > :25:23.Great story, well done to them. would all like to go somewhere hot

:25:23. > :25:27.at the moment. It will not be very Quite a bit of rain around, a lot

:25:27. > :25:31.of rainfall recently. A mortar just got caught out in Essex this

:25:31. > :25:38.morning when her car was a sum matched in rising flood water

:25:38. > :25:41.caused by persistent overnight rain. Also a family in St Mary near

:25:41. > :25:44.Ipswich found that they are beautiful oak tree was struck by

:25:44. > :25:51.lightning on Saturday evening. Luckily it was not near the house

:25:51. > :25:54.so it did not cause any damage. No one was in the vicinity. This

:25:54. > :25:57.unsettled weather will continue because as this area of low

:25:57. > :26:01.pressure moves away, there is another one lining up ready to

:26:01. > :26:05.bring some wet and windy weather for tomorrow. Our satellite image

:26:05. > :26:10.shows we are getting clearing skies. A risk of showers out there, but

:26:10. > :26:12.much of the night will be dry with clear intervals to start. Later in

:26:12. > :26:16.the night, it will turn increasingly cloudy in the south-

:26:16. > :26:19.west corner and we could see some brain appearing around dawn. For

:26:19. > :26:25.the first part of the night, temperatures could dip to around

:26:25. > :26:31.three degrees. We should be frost- free with a light wind. Tomorrow,

:26:31. > :26:34.here is our low pressure Swinney in from the Atlantic. You will see the

:26:34. > :26:38.isobars on the chart are tightly packed so it will bring us some

:26:38. > :26:42.strong winds. A wet and windy day is what is expected, and fairly

:26:42. > :26:46.cloudy conditions as well. Outbreaks of rain in the morning

:26:46. > :26:50.could produce a lot of surface water on the roads, making driving

:26:50. > :26:56.conditions challenging. There could be some heavy rain where the dark

:26:56. > :27:00.colours of. We have not got any particularly cold air withers so

:27:00. > :27:06.the temperatures could reach double figures, not likely to see much

:27:06. > :27:10.sunshine. Strong winds, particularly around coastal areas,

:27:10. > :27:16.where they could touch near gale force. As the rain clears, it will

:27:16. > :27:21.give way to shop those could turn a thundery. That is the theme for the

:27:21. > :27:25.next few days. A couple of days of showers, some turning a thundery,

:27:25. > :27:31.still breathing. Saturday looks mostly dry with some rain turning
