:00:07. > :00:12.Hello, I'm Simon Newton. An 89`year`old woman from Suffolk

:00:13. > :00:16.who was attacked by three masked men in her own home has described them

:00:17. > :00:19.as evil. The men burst into Connie Hallford's house at Lakenheath and

:00:20. > :00:30.demanded money. Today she spoke to our reporter Kevin Burch. That is

:00:31. > :00:36.when I went to the whole way, I ask them what they were doing and told

:00:37. > :00:40.them to clear off. I said get out of here, what are you doing? You just

:00:41. > :00:49.hit me on the head and knocked me down. Knocked me on the floor. Then

:00:50. > :00:57.he said, money, where is your money? Have you got any money? I said, no,

:00:58. > :01:03.I have a pure window. They said you have some down the side of your

:01:04. > :01:09.city? She looked down the settee and armchairs and threw them all about

:01:10. > :01:13.and the second one, but the third one stayed with me and would down on

:01:14. > :01:20.me and said, argue all right there? I said, no, I am pleading from my

:01:21. > :01:23.head. If you had to find the words to describe people who would do this

:01:24. > :01:34.to someone like you, what with those words be? Evil. That is what I would

:01:35. > :01:39.say, it was evil. I think we should bring back whipping, actually, or

:01:40. > :01:44.something. I know so many people 's thoughts will be with you. You make

:01:45. > :01:50.sure you rest and get better. I have already got a teddy bear, a bunch of

:01:51. > :01:56.flowers in the box of chocolates sent by somebody to me. I have no

:01:57. > :01:59.idea who they are. A woman has been arrested by detectives investigating

:02:00. > :02:01.a nursery in Essex. The Abacus nursery in Billericay has been

:02:02. > :02:04.closed down whilst inquiries take place. Mariam Issimdar has been

:02:05. > :02:11.following this, Mariam what do we know? The allegations are centred

:02:12. > :02:16.around the abacus daycare nursery in Billericay. It looks after the

:02:17. > :02:22.schoolchildren of the age of five. It has been open since 1985. Ofstead

:02:23. > :02:26.contacted the police and informs them that the nursery had its

:02:27. > :02:30.registration suspended. The police have closed the nursery for six

:02:31. > :02:34.weeks pending further enquiries. There are no precise details of

:02:35. > :02:37.allegations yet but all the police are willing to say is that there are

:02:38. > :02:43.no allegations of sexual abuse at this present time. We have contacted

:02:44. > :02:49.parents whose children attend the nursery who may have concerns to

:02:50. > :02:52.give further information. The 49`year`old woman was arrested by

:02:53. > :02:54.police and has been bailed pending further enquiries.

:02:55. > :02:57.The region's Ambulance Service says poor response times are not to blame

:02:58. > :03:00.for fewer people being resuscitated. The BBC has obtained figures which

:03:01. > :03:04.show the East of England Ambulance Trust is in the bottom three in the

:03:05. > :03:12.country for the number of attempted resuscitations. Amy Carter and her

:03:13. > :03:18.partner lost their three`month`old baby daughter last year. She had a

:03:19. > :03:25.congenital heart condition. It took the East of England and Ewan service

:03:26. > :03:27.26 minutes to, a delay described as wholly indefensible. When there's

:03:28. > :03:36.someone to for losing your daughter you just feel more angry, you have

:03:37. > :03:40.grief on top of anger, it always count on top. Head of England's 12

:03:41. > :03:44.and human services users in the bottom three when it comes to

:03:45. > :03:50.attempts to resuscitate patients. In the south`west per head of

:03:51. > :03:55.population than 148 attempts to resuscitate but in the east there

:03:56. > :03:58.were just 514. Roger Thieme, a former and owns executive, said the

:03:59. > :04:05.figures expose a frightening state of affairs. We have an NHS which

:04:06. > :04:09.should be as good as any part of the country and we should not have a

:04:10. > :04:14.postcode lottery in terms of dealing with this very acute condition.

:04:15. > :04:18.Managers believe the apparent discrepancies could be explained by

:04:19. > :04:22.factors including age and income. We have seen increasing demand so to

:04:23. > :04:29.make sure we have enough paramedics out there we are on a campaign to

:04:30. > :04:31.acute 400 new paramedics. The annual service in Sydney have a good

:04:32. > :04:36.survival rate for those who do resuscitate but that'll of little

:04:37. > :04:38.consolation for the parents of baby Bella.

:04:39. > :04:43.There's been another fall in the number of people out of work in the

:04:44. > :04:45.East. In the last three months of 2013, 180,000 people were

:04:46. > :04:49.unemployed. That's down a thousand on the previous quarter. In the East

:04:50. > :04:53.the unemployment rate now stands at 5.7 per cent compared to 7.2 per

:04:54. > :04:57.cent nationally. In 1942 the German air force bombed

:04:58. > :05:01.Norwich for two consecutive nights. 200 people died. At the time the

:05:02. > :05:04.authorities made a map showing the position of every bomb blast, but

:05:05. > :05:14.over the years its condition deteriorated. But now it's been

:05:15. > :05:21.painstakingly restored. Specialist conservatory `` this is a

:05:22. > :05:26.specialist conservatory revealing the results of her five months of

:05:27. > :05:31.work, bringing a old bomb map back to life. This is the result. 769

:05:32. > :05:39.easy to read tags representing the bombs that rained down on the city

:05:40. > :05:44.which making 40 and 1945. The first one was in the July of 1940 during

:05:45. > :05:48.which 27 people were killed. Most people remember the story of five

:05:49. > :05:53.girls walking up the hell have killed in that raid. By marrying

:05:54. > :05:56.together the streetscape of the peasants deal with the aftermath of

:05:57. > :06:01.the bombing raids a graphic designer has created ghost images. Usually I

:06:02. > :06:06.try and work out where the photo is and then it is a case of standing in

:06:07. > :06:10.the footsteps of the original photographer. I have seen virtually

:06:11. > :06:16.every residential street in the city. A phenomenal and of damage was

:06:17. > :06:18.caused both by the bombs and by the blast and damage afterwards. The

:06:19. > :06:23.blast and damage afterwards. Either stored on map has now to be

:06:24. > :06:26.preserved under controlled conditions but detailed images are

:06:27. > :06:33.available on CD. Street by street, telling the story of a city under

:06:34. > :06:37.attack. A quick congratulations to Stuart

:06:38. > :06:39.White who was named weasel presenter of the year at tonight 's Royal

:06:40. > :06:47.television Society awards. An approaching weather front will

:06:48. > :06:51.mean some rain later tonight, it will be mainly light and patchy at

:06:52. > :06:57.also the window fashion so by the time we get to the end of the night

:06:58. > :07:02.like a bit windy and we will be free of frost. Eight different feel to

:07:03. > :07:05.things tomorrow, a damp start to the day with some great pics of rain

:07:06. > :07:10.through the morning and quite cloudy. Then we will see brighter

:07:11. > :07:13.skies for the afternoon, sunshine breaking through. Temperatures are

:07:14. > :07:18.similar to where they got today but it will not feel quite so wild

:07:19. > :07:22.because there will be strength to that wind and it will remain

:07:23. > :07:27.blustery. There will be the chance of isolated showers. Any moment you

:07:28. > :07:31.will have the National forecast but this is our outlook and it will turn

:07:32. > :07:32.cooler and fresher for Friday and Saturday and there

:07:33. > :07:37.cooler and fresher for Friday and showers if you are on the Quay.

:07:38. > :07:43.Friday, a fine day. For the weekend, here is the BBC National weather.

:07:44. > :07:50.We have got rain and wind in the forecast, but the good news is that

:07:51. > :07:55.it is not severe. Over the next 24 hours, some of us will get rain and

:07:56. > :07:56.the winds will be strengthening
