:00:09. > :00:14.Hello, I'm Simon Newton. Detectives searching for a Suffolk teenager say

:00:15. > :00:19.they've found human remains. Luke Durbin, who was 19, vanished in 2006

:00:20. > :00:25.after a night out in Ipswich. Police say a piece of bone has now been

:00:26. > :00:28.found near his former home. The fragment's now being forenshcally

:00:29. > :00:31.tested. In a moment we'll speak to the officer leading the inqtiry But

:00:32. > :00:35.first this from our Suffolk reporter Kevin Burch. White suits in the

:00:36. > :00:39.trees ` it's patient, painstaking work. Detectives say this w`s a spot

:00:40. > :00:43.that Luke used to visit. It was here two weeks ago that this fragment of

:00:44. > :00:48.bone was discovered. Luke disappeared in 2006 after a night

:00:49. > :00:53.out in Ipswich. He was capttred on CCTV in the early hours. Thd next

:00:54. > :00:57.day there were two reports of him being seen in a car in Woodbridge.

:00:58. > :00:59.Late last year the case featured on the BBC Crimewatch programmd, where

:01:00. > :01:09.detectives revealed Luke's name and date of birth had been used in an

:01:10. > :01:12.attempted front in Brixton. `` fraud. After that TV appeal, his

:01:13. > :01:17.mother spoke of her ongoing quest for answers. It's such a mixed range

:01:18. > :01:20.of emotions. You're thinking this could be it... Finally be it. There

:01:21. > :01:23.are answers we're desperate for Officers said today their fhrst

:01:24. > :01:26.priority had been to update the family on developments. Thex've

:01:27. > :01:28.cordoned off a large area of woodland between The Avenue and

:01:29. > :01:32.Parklands. They've appealed for people to stay away to avoid

:01:33. > :01:35.hampering their work. This woman lives nearby and knew Luke Durbin.

:01:36. > :01:40.She says they've seen policd activity for days. One of the

:01:41. > :01:45.neighbours asked and they s`id it was just a training exercisd. But I

:01:46. > :01:52.turned up today and it's all been cordoned off. It's quite a few years

:01:53. > :01:56.down the line now. It would be nice to close the book, as one mhght say.

:01:57. > :01:59.Police say they'll be relying on the expertise of forensic

:02:00. > :02:03.anthropologists. They'll ex`mine the bone to determine whether it's male

:02:04. > :02:07.or female and how old it is. They say it could take up to thrde weeks.

:02:08. > :02:15.They expect to remain here on site for some time. Well, joining us now

:02:16. > :02:32.is Detective Superintendent John Brocklebank. Just explain the

:02:33. > :02:45.process please? We have a tdam of officers and that includes forensic

:02:46. > :02:53.officers. They are examining key areas and we are looking for further

:02:54. > :03:03.remains. This area was once landfill and near to a former hospit`l? It

:03:04. > :03:15.makes it a little difficult. We have to look at all the options of why

:03:16. > :03:28.the bone may be there. Another awful day for Luke's mother ` how is she

:03:29. > :03:41.coping? I've spoken to her. She is very apprehensive. We need to try to

:03:42. > :03:54.get a resolution as fast as possible. Their could be an innocent

:03:55. > :04:04.explanation but our objective is to get it sorted. The search whll

:04:05. > :04:17.continue for some days yet. We will put dogs in the location. Then we

:04:18. > :04:24.will have forensic examinathon of any finds. That could take `round

:04:25. > :04:28.three weeks. Ten members of a drugs gang which

:04:29. > :04:31.operated from a house near Norwich have been jailed. The gang ran a

:04:32. > :04:34.network of cocaine dealers `nd were caught after a lengthy survdillance

:04:35. > :04:38.operation by police. These `re the faces of the gang who supplhed vast

:04:39. > :04:41.quantities of Cocaine across the streets of Norfolk. And this is the

:04:42. > :04:44.man who led them ` 32`year`old Anthony Yallop. He ran his drug

:04:45. > :04:48.business from this quiet residential street in Bowthorpe. He had a taste

:04:49. > :04:51.for designer clothes and was caught on camera boasting that he could

:04:52. > :04:54.make around ?150,000 a year from his network of dealers. It took police

:04:55. > :04:58.nine months of surveillance before busting the gang. The cocaine seized

:04:59. > :05:04.has an estimated street valte of ?100,000. This is a significant

:05:05. > :05:11.group of individuals who have been taken off the streets of Norfolk.

:05:12. > :05:14.The supply route, as we've heard, was through Cambridgeshire hnto

:05:15. > :05:19.north Norfolk and then the Xarmouth area. Today at Norwich Crown Court

:05:20. > :05:26.the gang was sentenced to jtst over 65 years. Yallop got 16. Nicholas

:05:27. > :05:33.Grady, who supplied cocaine in the Great Yarmouth area, was jahled for

:05:34. > :05:38.13. William Haddow, Yallop's second in command, got eight years. The

:05:39. > :05:42.judge said class A drugs were a problem in all cities. Herohn and

:05:43. > :05:46.crack cocaine a great probldm in Great Yarmouth. His message `

:05:47. > :05:55.Norfolk is nowhere for anyone who takes part in this evil trade.

:05:56. > :05:58.Police have been pulling ovdr motorists in Ipswich tonight,

:05:59. > :06:01.looking for witnesses 24 hotrs after a woman was raped. The 27`ydar`old

:06:02. > :06:04.was dragged into the alley off Cromer Road around 8:30pm. She's

:06:05. > :06:13.described her attacker as bding in his late 30s with short black hair

:06:14. > :06:16.and dressed in black. A man in his 60s has been rdscued

:06:17. > :06:20.after being trapped ten feet underground in two feet of slurry in

:06:21. > :06:24.Suffolk. He'd been standing on the lid of a slurry tank when it

:06:25. > :06:27.collapsed underneath him at a farm near Otley. He suffered injtries to

:06:28. > :06:35.his feet when the concrete lid fell on him.

:06:36. > :06:46.That's all from me. Here's @lex Dolan with the weather. Thank you.

:07:45. > :07:51.will turn cold once again. A different story for Scotland and

:07:52. > :07:55.Northern Ireland. But ahead of that, the skies are clearing for England
