:00:00. > :00:00.pleasant in the south-west where the winds are that bit lighter. That is

:00:00. > :00:07.it. Goodbye. Hello and welcome to Look E`st.

:00:08. > :00:11.Stay with us for the next h`lf hour for a round`up of the day's news

:00:12. > :00:14.where you are and the forec`st. In the headlines tonight..

:00:15. > :00:16.Extra police patrols drafted in as football fans head for the pubs

:00:17. > :00:19.for England's first World Ctp game. The husband of tennis star Dlena

:00:20. > :00:32.Baltacha remembers the good times We will be giving out the mdssage

:00:33. > :00:35.that people should go out, dnjoy themselves and return home sensibly.

:00:36. > :00:38.The husband of tennis star Dlena Baltacha remembers the good times

:00:39. > :00:46.and looks forward to her lasting legacy.

:00:47. > :00:50.This is exactly what she wotld've wanted to see, all these chhldren

:00:51. > :01:04.there enjoying themselves. And I will be reporting frol

:01:05. > :01:06.Bedford, where fans are getting ready for the World Cup match

:01:07. > :01:17.between England and Italy. We will be giving out the mdssage

:01:18. > :01:22.that people should go out, dnjoy Extra police are being drafted in

:01:23. > :01:28.across the region this weekdnd to make sure there is no trouble when

:01:29. > :01:31.England play the first game in the World Cup. The match against Italy

:01:32. > :01:34.will be played at 11 o'clock tomorrow night. Thousands of fans

:01:35. > :01:37.in Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk are expected to watch the g`me in

:01:38. > :01:40.local pubs. The police say they are prepared to do what is needdd to

:01:41. > :02:02.keep the risk of alcohol`related There will be a big crowd about

:02:03. > :02:05.tomorrow night and there lilited expectations of what England can do,

:02:06. > :02:13.with the World Cup excitement yet to build. The flags of many nations

:02:14. > :02:21.growing up in the square. Lhttle sign of World Cup fever. It will

:02:22. > :02:27.soon pick up, hopefully. If England do well on Saturday? Yes, I would

:02:28. > :02:34.probably sell out then, but I do not imagine them doing well. I can live

:02:35. > :02:42.with it or not live with it. It leaves me tepid. Everyone sdems to

:02:43. > :02:48.have forgotten that is a grdat big game on. Come on England! Some

:02:49. > :02:55.companies have made a big effort to make a splash. It will be a big

:02:56. > :03:00.night for many pubs in the region, when England kick off their campaign

:03:01. > :03:06.at 11 o'clock in the evening. It is going to be huge. Saturday night is

:03:07. > :03:12.generally busy anyway. It could be manic. We will see how it goes.

:03:13. > :03:17.There's an expectation that people come together and drink a f`ir

:03:18. > :03:19.amount of alcohol and enjoy the football. That is great. But people

:03:20. > :03:23.need to keep a check of thehr need to keep a check of thehr

:03:24. > :03:27.emotions. If they are doing well, they may be in a good mood `nd of

:03:28. > :03:31.the doing badly, and a bad lood We just need to make sure thesd moods

:03:32. > :03:38.are kept in check so we do not problems. A decade ago, there was a

:03:39. > :03:44.major confrontation between English and Portuguese supporters. The

:03:45. > :03:46.police know feel the tension of a migrant communities has easdd. The

:03:47. > :03:53.peaceful heart of knowledge changes character at night. But drinking

:03:54. > :03:57.into the early hours, with the passions of football added to the

:03:58. > :04:03.mix, police will be on hand to make sure there is no trouble. The

:04:04. > :04:08.landlord of the problem is with me now, what do you think it whll be

:04:09. > :04:13.like tomorrow night? Hopefully, it will be a great atmosphere `nd

:04:14. > :04:16.everyone will enjoy themselves. Great for business? Yes, thdre has

:04:17. > :04:21.been a lot of doom and glool, so we are hoping that this will cheer

:04:22. > :04:28.everyone up. What about the worry about trouble? We do not have a

:04:29. > :04:32.client base which cause trotble We are not expecting any trouble. Most

:04:33. > :04:37.of the people in year out whth other people they know. We think dveryone

:04:38. > :04:42.will come in and fix enjoy themselves. I do not think the

:04:43. > :04:46.excitement has really built. What do you think? I think we have to wait

:04:47. > :04:51.until we play our first gamd. I think if we get a result ag`inst

:04:52. > :05:00.Italy, everyone will get very excited. I'm optimistic are you

:05:01. > :05:03.Well, I am always optimistic, but no European team has won in Sotth

:05:04. > :05:04.America, so I do not want to be too optimistic.

:05:05. > :05:07.The Colchester Hospital Trust say a member of staff has been suspended

:05:08. > :05:09.following allegations of bullying and harassment. An investig`tion

:05:10. > :05:12.is underway. The allegations also involve claims that the waiting list

:05:13. > :05:19.in endoscopy and dermatologx was manipulated.

:05:20. > :05:21.A prisoner who absconded from Hollesley Bay in Suffolk has been

:05:22. > :05:24.found in Amsterdam. Jak Marku is serving time for importing drugs.

:05:25. > :05:27.He disappeared in March aftdr being given leave to go home to Mhddlesex.

:05:28. > :05:36.The 25`year`old is being held by the Dutch police.

:05:37. > :05:38.Health minister Norman Lamb has given another undertaking to improve

:05:39. > :05:41.mental health care in Norfolk and Suffolk. His promise follows more

:05:42. > :05:44.trouble for the NHS Trust providing mental health card in the

:05:45. > :05:45.in the two counties.

:05:46. > :05:47.A public consultation has recently uncovered fears th`t

:05:48. > :05:49.patients are at risks and there are claims that managers are fahling in

:05:50. > :06:07.their legal duty of care because of a lack of beds.

:06:08. > :06:15.Denise still has the pits hdr husband used to look after before

:06:16. > :06:19.the kick became ill. When hd is at home, you have to look after them,

:06:20. > :06:26.because that is the person xou love more than anyone else in thd world.

:06:27. > :06:34.But knowing how it was and how he became its just awful. Dementia has

:06:35. > :06:38.taken away her husband. The police found on the railway line, which

:06:39. > :06:43.could have had a disastrous result and that is when something had to be

:06:44. > :06:48.done. One consolation is th`t he is no safe and secure nearby. He

:06:49. > :06:58.receives is clear here. Last year, two wards were closed. They were

:06:59. > :07:04.also a geek into was caused, with the loss of 30 jobs. The wards

:07:05. > :07:11.remain open, but the question is, Hove for how much longer. It is all

:07:12. > :07:16.part of reorganisation of the hill services in the county. Thex are

:07:17. > :07:18.trying to save ?40 million over the years. The hospital trust s`id in a

:07:19. > :07:34.statement: A meeting on the public consultation

:07:35. > :07:40.will be held later this month. The final decision is due in December.

:07:41. > :07:43.It is like having this hanghng over your head. You try and put ht in

:07:44. > :07:50.your mind until we hear a ddcision, but how can you you not think about

:07:51. > :07:54.it. What would your message the health minister? Instead of

:07:55. > :08:00.complaining and passing the buck, he is the one he has to make it happen.

:08:01. > :08:06.Instead of trying to say, wd need to save ?20 million. The peopld with

:08:07. > :08:11.health diseases cannot stand up and say, I need help. We need to do that

:08:12. > :08:16.for them. I have been looking at ways of trying to get extra money

:08:17. > :08:22.for mental health services. I am arguing the case across the country

:08:23. > :08:27.and it is having results with mental health getting treated equally as

:08:28. > :08:31.importantly as physical health. I will do everything I can within our

:08:32. > :08:36.power, but with a decentralhsed system which has existed for a long

:08:37. > :08:40.time before this government came into power, it is important that

:08:41. > :08:50.decisions get made at local level. There will be more from Deborah

:08:51. > :08:52.McGurran and the politics tdam in The Sunday Politics at 11 o?clock on

:08:53. > :08:58.BBC One on Sunday morning. Police in Essex say their c`mpaign

:08:59. > :09:00.against domestic abuse has `lready reached more than four millhon

:09:01. > :09:03.people. Standing Together w`s officially launched on Mond`y. They

:09:04. > :09:06.say this film has been watched across the world, via Twittdr.

:09:07. > :09:08.Facebook and the media. This week, the police said they were pttting on

:09:09. > :09:10.more patrols because domesthc violence increases dramatic`lly

:09:11. > :09:13.during the World Cup. Research has shown that, when England lose,

:09:14. > :09:14.violent incidents increase by 3 % and rven when England win,

:09:15. > :09:17.attacks increase by 26%. About 300 members of the Liberal

:09:18. > :09:20.Democrats are meeting in Calbridge tonight to vote on a possible vote

:09:21. > :09:23.of no confidence in their ldader Nick Clegg. The ballot was called

:09:24. > :09:25.following the party's poor performance in the European

:09:26. > :09:36.and local elections. These are the cheers which have been

:09:37. > :09:42.haunting the Liberal Democr`ts since the local elections. It was the

:09:43. > :09:48.moment Labour boosted them from power and took over from control in

:09:49. > :09:55.Cambridge City Council. Somd of them have openly been asking that the

:09:56. > :10:00.party leader needs to step down Unfortunately, he is so unpopular

:10:01. > :10:05.with some people that the d`mages those causes when he advocates them.

:10:06. > :10:11.That is why I signed the letter I do not think he can be the party

:10:12. > :10:17.leader when such a big chunk of the electorate are not giving you a

:10:18. > :10:27.hearing. The parties perforlance in the European elections was dven

:10:28. > :10:34.worse. And another Cambridgd MP could lose the seat next ye`r if

:10:35. > :10:38.Nick Clegg remains the leaddr. In light of this, local members have

:10:39. > :10:45.called it an emergency meethng. There has been a lot of discussion

:10:46. > :10:49.amongst activists who were campaigning in the European and

:10:50. > :10:57.local elections. As an execttive, we think we need to Ansar to them and

:10:58. > :11:06.we want a 300 of them to take part in a reasoned discussion. If you

:11:07. > :11:12.have a rapport with cylinder, I think you are halfway there. It is

:11:13. > :11:17.more about what they stand for the one who the leader is. You need a

:11:18. > :11:25.leader to have some sort of charisma. He is the face of the

:11:26. > :11:30.party. They try and put in ` good`looking guy here to get votes,

:11:31. > :11:37.but they do not think it works. So, this evening, Liberal Democrats in

:11:38. > :11:44.Cambridge will decide whethdr or not Clegg is still the for them.

:11:45. > :11:51.Still to come tonight, we look forward to the England against Italy

:11:52. > :11:55.match and after a few one d`ys of weather, it will be cool and cloudy

:11:56. > :12:00.at the weekend, but it is not all bad news.

:12:01. > :12:03.Stars from the world of tenniswill take part in a special event this

:12:04. > :12:07.weekend in memory of Elena Baltacha. The Rally For Bally will rahse money

:12:08. > :12:10.for a cancer charity and for the Elena Baltacha Academy in Ipswich.

:12:11. > :12:13.Elena died in May from liver cancer. She was just 30 years old. @ few

:12:14. > :12:16.weeks before she died, she larried her former coach Nino Severhno. With

:12:17. > :12:19.the rally this weekend. he wanted to tell Look East about Elena's legacy

:12:20. > :12:47.She was the ultimate Warrior on court, citing the cruellest injuries

:12:48. > :12:51.and conditions of that. She was such a strong individual. She wotld

:12:52. > :12:53.battle through it. She did not know what it was like to have a healthy

:12:54. > :13:12.liver. In Rome to around the other two

:13:13. > :13:19.women, her back would go. She was having to take tablets for her back,

:13:20. > :13:24.her ankles. She never made ` big deal of it. She never said `nything

:13:25. > :13:30.about it in interviews. She would just wake up and get on with it But

:13:31. > :13:37.it was horrendous. Can you remember much of the day Elena Baltacha that

:13:38. > :13:47.was given the diagnosis? It was very difficult. It was very diffhcult. I

:13:48. > :13:54.have never experienced something like that, some strength like that

:13:55. > :14:00.any human being. To go throtgh something like that was horrible.

:14:01. > :14:09.She had just retired and had so many amazing things at her feet. But we

:14:10. > :14:14.were up against this fight, but she never once complained throughout the

:14:15. > :14:22.whole ordeal. My big memory, I suppose, which was very important

:14:23. > :14:36.for her was the Olympic year. She was so proud of this.

:14:37. > :14:44.She actually bought the battle on and we keep it in the officd on

:14:45. > :14:46.display. There are lots of pictures of her holding her since shd is just

:14:47. > :14:56.like a little girl. When you play tennis, it is

:14:57. > :15:02.important that you have quick hands, so here is a way you can pr`ctice at

:15:03. > :15:09.home. One of her biggest supporters was Judy Murray. The Federation cup

:15:10. > :15:16.captain was very important `nd she is also the patron of Elena Baltacha

:15:17. > :15:20.the Academy in Ipswich. She was so well liked and respected through the

:15:21. > :15:25.tennis world and you can sed that from everyone who has turned up We

:15:26. > :15:30.want to do whatever we can to see she is remembered and has a legacy

:15:31. > :15:37.and that this academy which was so dear to her heart survives `nd size.

:15:38. > :15:42.It will do as long as we ard in to help.

:15:43. > :15:49.This is exactly what she wotld've wanted to see, lots and lots of

:15:50. > :15:54.children's girls and boys are children's girls and boys are

:15:55. > :16:26.children that she would've picked herself. For nearly all the children

:16:27. > :16:41.Her legacy, what do you think it will be? She helped so many children

:16:42. > :16:45.that would not have had a chance in serious tennis. The the reaction has

:16:46. > :16:58.been incredible. That has m`de a big difference. It is something that me

:16:59. > :17:02.and the other trustees will do to help fight for the future of the

:17:03. > :17:03.Academy. A reminder, the Rally for B`lly will

:17:04. > :17:04.take place this Sunday. Andx Murray, Tim Henman and Martina Navr`tilova

:17:05. > :17:06.are just some of the stars taking part. The mixed doubles will happen

:17:07. > :17:09.after the finals at Queen's Club in After incredible success last year

:17:10. > :17:20.with the Britten centenary, Aldeburgh Music is hoping to pull

:17:21. > :17:23.off another big hit this sulmer The 67th annual festival will fdature a

:17:24. > :17:25.Music Circus, when musicians from different backgrounds get together

:17:26. > :17:47.to play different music at the same What I need you to do is just

:17:48. > :17:59.increase the volume. The choir take last`minute advice while others do a

:18:00. > :18:12.final tune`up. For some, it is all in a days work. Across the region,

:18:13. > :18:17.performance have come together to join this fantastic musical

:18:18. > :18:23.tapestry. It should be incrddible, all those people coming togdther.

:18:24. > :18:29.When I have the premise that you would not hear one thing, you will

:18:30. > :18:34.flowing. They will play for two flowing. They will play for two

:18:35. > :18:38.hours together at the same time The dab hand at the piano is thd

:18:39. > :18:49.festival director. He will start them off. On June the 22nd, they

:18:50. > :19:20.will be joined by some of the best orchestras.

:19:21. > :19:36.We started doing one read on and then we were told we were doing two

:19:37. > :19:44.and then we were told we were putting it all together. Ard you

:19:45. > :19:53.nervous? Sort of. Here is the organiser. Is this organised chaos?

:19:54. > :19:56.I would like to think it is organised. The roots of the festival

:19:57. > :20:03.are spiritual lead based. L`st year, the highlight was the opener on the

:20:04. > :20:12.beach. Hard to beat, so thex are doing it differently this ydar. It

:20:13. > :20:16.is nice to share an event whth the community that amateurs,

:20:17. > :20:24.professionals, people from `ll generations can come togethdr. The

:20:25. > :20:25.festival starts tonight and this musical adventure is in just nine

:20:26. > :20:32.days time. Full details of the festival can be

:20:33. > :20:41.found on the website. Back to the World Cup now and the

:20:42. > :20:47.talking is nearly over. Steve Gerrard will lead the England team

:20:48. > :20:49.out against Italy tomorrow night, cheered on across the region. In

:20:50. > :20:52.Bedford, though, some of those fans might be cheering for the other

:20:53. > :21:00.side. Bedford is said to have the biggest

:21:01. > :21:06.Italian population outside London. Some 20,000 people of Itali`n

:21:07. > :21:11.origin. They came in big nulbers after the war to work in thd

:21:12. > :21:15.brickworks and stayed. I have very happy memories of being in Bedford

:21:16. > :21:20.in 2006 when Italy won the World Cup and today, I have been back to take

:21:21. > :21:49.a trip down memory lane. I have come to see an old brick

:21:50. > :22:01.friend at the hairdresser. How are you! We still first met in 2006

:22:02. > :22:05.when Italy won the World Cup. He still kicks every ball and hs

:22:06. > :22:11.looking forward to the game on Saturday night. What do you think

:22:12. > :22:16.the result will be? I think it will be a draw. Neither side wants to

:22:17. > :22:21.lose the first match. Karel owns the pizza restaurant and when Italy beat

:22:22. > :22:26.Germany in the semifinal, the place went wild.

:22:27. > :22:33.Today, they have moved into the town centre, but the pizzas are still

:22:34. > :22:45.pretty good. He remembers how Italy went on to

:22:46. > :22:56.beat France on penalties in the final. The penalty was scordd, Italy

:22:57. > :23:00.won the World Cup and it was chaos. They were out in the streets

:23:01. > :23:08.celebrating for two or thred hours. A lovely time. I also remember being

:23:09. > :23:16.in club Italia matinee, tucked away in the back streets. Coffee, cards

:23:17. > :23:24.and table football. England versus Italy, of course.

:23:25. > :23:42.And guess what, we won. What a goal! 6`2. They are not quite exchte

:23:43. > :23:51.expecting so much excitement tomorrow night. I am going to see at

:23:52. > :23:57.a win. Back at the hairdresser, I get what he calls the full service,

:23:58. > :24:03.but it is a very good hairctt. Like many of his shop, it will bd close

:24:04. > :24:07.tomorrow night. By the magic of television, I am now in Norwich

:24:08. > :24:15.outside the big screen which is currently showing the Mexic`n war

:24:16. > :24:21.against Cameron game. Mexico are one go ahead with just a couple of

:24:22. > :24:26.minutes to go. During the World Cup, you can get in touch with md during

:24:27. > :24:31.it. I would love to see somd photographs from tomorrow nhght

:24:32. > :24:37.wherever you are watching the game. Take a photograph and send ht to me

:24:38. > :24:43.at the contact details below. Back to you.

:24:44. > :24:58.Spare a thought for the England team tomorrow. They are expecting a

:24:59. > :25:05.temperature of 28 Celsius when they start the match. Not only stiflingly

:25:06. > :25:10.hot, but also very humid. They are kicking off at six o'clock local

:25:11. > :25:16.time. At least the sun will just be setting, so it may get slightly

:25:17. > :25:23.cooler. For us, we can expect cooler temperatures than today. We get

:25:24. > :25:28.temperatures up to 24 Celsits today. Still fine into the day for many

:25:29. > :25:33.people. High pressure is st`rting to move west and this will mean that

:25:34. > :25:36.the forecast will change slhghtly. Northerly winds coming in to make

:25:37. > :25:44.things a bit cool and cloudx over the next few days. Tonight, we have

:25:45. > :25:48.got the chance of some showdrs developing, particularly for western

:25:49. > :25:55.counties. They could be heavy and somebody. There is a greater risk

:25:56. > :26:00.across the west of the region. Lots of places should stay dry overnight.

:26:01. > :26:05.We start tomorrow with generally a lot more cloud alone. There is the

:26:06. > :26:10.chance of one or two showers. Many places like dry, but there could be

:26:11. > :26:13.breaks in the cloud to lose some sunshine in the afternoon.

:26:14. > :26:29.than today. High temperaturds inland than today. High temperaturds inland

:26:30. > :26:33.of 20 Celsius tomorrow. Will we get that sunshine back? The high

:26:34. > :26:38.pressure begins to build back? The high pressure begins to build days

:26:39. > :26:44.before we hit the high tempdratures of today. We start Sunday qtite

:26:45. > :26:51.closely, with again the chance of a few breaks in the code to gdt some
