:05:13. > :05:18.has been charged with murdering three men who were found dead in

:05:18. > :05:21.ditches in Cambridgeshire. The body of Kevin Lee was discovered on the

:05:21. > :05:31.30th March. Four days later, the bodies Lucasz Slaboszewski and John

:05:31. > :05:32.

:05:32. > :05:36.Chapman were found at Thorney Dyke. Three men, all starts to death,

:05:36. > :05:41.their bodies found abandoned in water filled ditch is in

:05:41. > :05:44.Cambridgeshire. One woman has been charged with their murders. The

:05:44. > :05:50.Crown Prosecution Service made the official announcement at its office

:05:50. > :05:55.in Chelmsford. We have today advised Cambridgeshire police there is

:05:55. > :05:59.sufficient evidence and it is in the public interest to charge Joanna

:05:59. > :06:04.Dennehy over the deaths of three men whose bodies were found in ditches

:06:04. > :06:11.in Cambridgeshire. Joanna Dennehy has this morning been charged with

:06:11. > :06:21.the murders of Kevin Lee, John Chapman and Lucasz Slaboszewski,

:06:21. > :06:31.which took place in March 2013. Kevin Lee, a builder who was 48, was

:06:31. > :06:33.

:06:33. > :06:40.the first to be discovered. A few days later the men were found -- two

:06:40. > :06:43.men were stabbed in Hereford and later found dead at Thorney Dyke.

:06:43. > :06:51.The CPS says Joanna Dennehy was charged this morning and has been

:06:51. > :06:54.charged with the attempted murder already of the two men in Hereford.

:06:54. > :06:58.Three men have also been charged in connection with the murders of the

:06:58. > :07:07.three men, and with the police investigation ongoing there could be

:07:07. > :07:10.further arrests. The man accused of murdering cyclist

:07:10. > :07:13.Delaney Brown has pleaded guilty to manslaughter today. The 19-year-old

:07:13. > :07:16.was struck by a stolen BMW, which mounted the kerb in Luton. Until

:07:16. > :07:19.now, Kyle Beckford had denied being in the car, but today he admitted

:07:19. > :07:27.that he was the driver. Beckford denies murder. The case

:07:27. > :07:30.continues. Armed police have carried out a

:07:30. > :07:33.number of raids in Luton following a shooting at the weekend. There have

:07:33. > :07:36.now been eight shootings in the town since January. Community groups say

:07:36. > :07:41.urgent action is needed to tackle the growing problem of gangs and

:07:41. > :07:45.guns in Luton. Neil Bradford reports. As armed police carried out

:07:45. > :07:50.raids across Luton this morning, they were also dealing with the

:07:50. > :07:56.eighth shooting this year. The shot was fired during an attempted

:07:56. > :08:02.robbery at this shop and no one was hurt. It comes 36 hours after shots

:08:02. > :08:12.were fired from a motorcycle on this road, taking the number of crimes

:08:12. > :08:15.

:08:15. > :08:19.involving a gun in Luton to 15 this year. Every time we talk, they think

:08:19. > :08:25.it is just a noise we are making, but we are trying to get people to

:08:25. > :08:30.understand what we are saying. There is a gang problem and it needs to be

:08:30. > :08:40.sorted out. The police insist it is a small number of criminals and they

:08:40. > :08:42.

:08:42. > :08:49.are bringing hard to bring this to an end. There are maybe 20 or 30

:08:49. > :08:54.criminals, we have executed search warrants, 17 people have been

:08:54. > :09:00.arrested, and we are taking this extremely seriously. We need the

:09:00. > :09:04.public to come forward and to have confidence. Police have stepped up

:09:04. > :09:14.controls near the area since Sunday's shooting but that in itself

:09:14. > :09:15.

:09:15. > :09:17.will not bring results. They say they need the help of the community.

:09:17. > :09:20.Senior councillors in Cambridgeshire are discussing how the council

:09:20. > :09:22.should be run after last week's local elections. The Conservatives

:09:22. > :09:25.lost their overall majority, with UKIP being the big winners, gaining

:09:25. > :09:31.ten seats. And talks have been further complicated because the

:09:31. > :09:38.leader of the council was one of the victims.

:09:38. > :09:42.Cambridgeshire county council is effectively without a leader and in

:09:42. > :09:48.limbo after the elections left no party in overall control. The

:09:48. > :09:54.biggest winners worth UKIP and he says he wants to form a coalition of

:09:54. > :09:57.minor parties. We are here to help make Cambridgeshire a better place

:09:57. > :10:00.to live, and the people of Cambridgeshire have said they don't

:10:00. > :10:05.want the Conservatives to have absolute control and there are a

:10:05. > :10:15.number of options that brings with it. Labour says the idea of a

:10:15. > :10:15.

:10:15. > :10:22.coalition is out of the question. The councillor said any coalition

:10:22. > :10:27.between themselves and UKIP would be impossible. We have fewer

:10:27. > :10:32.councillors, but because the council is in position of no overall

:10:32. > :10:39.control, we believe and hope it may be possible to get some of our

:10:39. > :10:49.policies through. The Tories hold the most seats so it is likely the

:10:49. > :10:51.

:10:52. > :10:59.next move will come from them. will be invited, and then we will

:10:59. > :11:03.have to decide what to do. A father and son from Bedfordshire

:11:03. > :11:07.have been jailed for a total of 13 years for using vulnerable homeless

:11:07. > :11:10.men as slaves in an exploitation case that made the family millions.

:11:10. > :11:13.But at a re-trial at Luton Crown Court, the jury was discharged after

:11:13. > :11:16.they failed to reach verdicts on 24 counts of enforced labour and

:11:16. > :11:19.servitude involving four members of the same traveller family.

:11:19. > :11:23.When Beds police raided the Greenacres travellers site two years

:11:23. > :11:27.ago, they came face-to-face with victims including these men who had

:11:27. > :11:33.been living in squalor and put to work laying paving blocks for no

:11:33. > :11:37.pay. Some of them had been held for years. Today Tommie Connor's senior

:11:37. > :11:41.and his son Patrick were jailed for eight years and five years

:11:41. > :11:46.respectively. The judge said he was satisfied, based on the evidence he

:11:46. > :11:56.had heard, that hundreds of workers had been recruited from the streets

:11:56. > :12:00.

:12:00. > :12:03.and exploited, but he said a small number have been so degraded they

:12:03. > :12:05.have been unable to run away like the rest. Police surveillance videos

:12:05. > :12:08.showed some of the exploitation as workers toiled for hours under the

:12:08. > :12:14.watchful eyes of their bosses, but the jury failed to reach verdicts of

:12:14. > :12:19.other counts of servitude against them. A number of my clients have

:12:19. > :12:24.been exonerated after two lengthy and arduous trials. In the latter

:12:24. > :12:27.the jury were unable to reach any decisions. The decision of this jury

:12:27. > :12:33.who could not accept the Crown 's case comes as a relief to my clients

:12:33. > :12:38.who wish to return to their families and businesses. At the first trial

:12:38. > :12:47.last year, two members of the family were jailed as the same judge

:12:47. > :12:50.described them as violent, cold, hard exploiters.

:12:50. > :12:52.Northampton Town Chairman David Cardoza says Aidy Boothroyd is the

:12:53. > :13:00.best manager he has worked with. Boothroyd has led Cobblers to

:13:00. > :13:06.Wembley for the League Two play-off final against Bradford. Northampton

:13:06. > :13:11.have waited a long time to play at Wembley, 16 years, but their moment

:13:11. > :13:18.has arrived. The chairman can take it off his list. This is the icing

:13:18. > :13:23.on the cake. I wanted to play United, we did that, and I wanted to

:13:23. > :13:31.be part of taking the town to Wembley and I am so I am feeling

:13:31. > :13:37.good about myself. Wembley will be even better if they can beat

:13:37. > :13:46.Bradford. Over 20,000 fans will travel, it is the best way to get

:13:46. > :13:50.promotion and more lucrative. delighted we are doing it this way

:13:51. > :14:00.financially but it is a strange way of it happening. Northampton are

:14:01. > :14:01.

:14:01. > :14:10.quids in because they recruited Aidy Boothroyd who has turned things

:14:10. > :14:15.around in one year. Are you delighted? Yes, he is the

:14:15. > :14:25.full package. Promotion will be worth several hundred thousand

:14:25. > :14:32.

:14:32. > :14:35.pounds, a place in league one with an eastern feel.

:14:35. > :14:37.Former Godolphin trainer Mahmood Al Zarooni is to appeal against the

:14:37. > :14:39.length of his eight-year ban for doping racehorses. The Dubai-born

:14:39. > :14:42.trainer, recruited by Sheikh Mohammed's Newmarket-based operation

:14:42. > :14:44.in March 2010, has admitted giving banned anabolic steroids to 15

:14:44. > :14:47.horses. Al Zarooni was banned following a disciplinary hearing. A
