:00:46. > :00:51.We are just waiting to see until something is

:00:52. > :00:59.We do not know what is going on, we have not

:01:00. > :01:05.They just said they will let us know when they know.

:01:06. > :01:07.Last October I visited Vauxhall as they celebrated

:01:08. > :01:10.50 new jobs being created at their police car factory in Luton -

:01:11. > :01:15.Today, the UK Business Secretary Greg Clark said he had constructive

:01:16. > :01:23.But he made no assurances about Vauxhall's future.

:01:24. > :01:26.If this deal goes ahead there will be plant

:01:27. > :01:32.Now, the question then is where will the axe fall?

:01:33. > :01:37.The UK plant are very efficient but we have very flexible

:01:38. > :01:39.labour market rules in the UK and it is very

:01:40. > :01:45.easy to fire workers, and

:01:46. > :01:47.also of course there is considerable uncertainty over our trading

:01:48. > :01:50.relationship with Europe and whether or not we will be in the single

:01:51. > :01:54.It is not the first time thhere has been worries over

:01:55. > :02:00.This was the old Vauxhall car plant in 1999 shortly before it

:02:01. > :02:03.The land has now been redeveloped for houses,

:02:04. > :02:06.This man was a forklift truck driver at Vauxhall up until

:02:07. > :02:12.There was a contract come in and they said they had to get rid

:02:13. > :02:21.I did not see Vauxhall as a job, I saw it

:02:22. > :02:26.So I thought Vauxhall could do a lot for me but...

:02:27. > :02:31.It has been a week of uncertainty for Vauxhall

:02:32. > :02:34.workers here, and while the firm says it has no

:02:35. > :02:35.definitive news to report as yet.

:02:36. > :02:46.It seems that uncertainty will continue for some time to come.

:02:47. > :02:48.It's one of the region's biggest attractions but tourism bosses

:02:49. > :02:58.in Cambridge say not enough visitors stay overnight here.

:02:59. > :03:01.They don't want more visitors but they do want people to stay

:03:02. > :03:03.longer and spend more money in the city ad the surrounding area

:03:04. > :03:07.Capturing the sights in one Britain's most photogenic cities.

:03:08. > :03:08.More than 5 million visitors come to Cambridge

:03:09. > :03:11.each year, but very few of them stay the night.

:03:12. > :03:13.And those who promote tourism here want

:03:14. > :03:17.If people are only staying here for a few hours, which many do,

:03:18. > :03:22.they might only be spending ten or ?15.

:03:23. > :03:26.But if you can encourage them to stay longer and explore

:03:27. > :03:29.further, then you are spreading the benefits of that visitor economy

:03:30. > :03:33.It is about value tourism, not volume.

:03:34. > :03:36.You know, we genuinely don't need more

:03:37. > :03:39.visitors to the city, but we just need them to stay longer.

:03:40. > :03:41.Tourism bosses think the key is to persuade

:03:42. > :03:46.visitors that there is much more to see than the city centre.

:03:47. > :03:51.For example, the historic Wimpole Hall

:03:52. > :03:53.and the Imperial War Museum in Duxford, enough to keep you busy

:03:54. > :03:57.So are today's visitors staying for a while or here just for

:03:58. > :04:07.Are you just here for the day or are you staying here?

:04:08. > :04:14.So you are visiting Cambridge for the day today?

:04:15. > :04:17.We just came down yesterday, last night.

:04:18. > :04:23.Just for two days, but you are staying in a hotel here?

:04:24. > :04:35.Whether you are in Cambridge for a day or for three weeks, a punting

:05:05. > :05:08.For 20 years, the Kick It Out campaign has tackled

:05:09. > :05:15.racism and discrimination in English football.

:05:16. > :05:18.It's made a difference but there's still plenty to do.

:05:19. > :05:19.So Cambridge United have decided to start young -

:05:20. > :05:21.with a new scheme in primary schools.

:05:22. > :05:24.As times you can do it by yourself, but football is a team game,

:05:25. > :05:27.so you need everyone working together, and this will happen.

:05:28. > :05:30.I think it is very important everyone is equal in football

:05:31. > :05:33.because if everyone is not equal you cannot have a fair game

:05:34. > :05:36.and if there is no fair game it is not a game at all.
