:00:35. > :00:37.as the search for missing airman Corrie McKeague continues.

:00:38. > :00:39.The 23-year-old went missing in September

:00:40. > :00:42.after a night out in Bury St Edmunds.

:00:43. > :00:45.Yesterday, police admitted that a waste-disposal truck,

:00:46. > :00:48.spotted close to where he was last seen,

:00:49. > :00:53.was carrying a heavier load than first thought.

:00:54. > :00:56.It's now feared the truck may have picked up Mr McKeague's body.

:00:57. > :01:02.Slowly and methodically, specially trained officers carefully rake

:01:03. > :01:05.through waste, mindful that just below them

:01:06. > :01:07.could lie the remains of Corrie McKeague.

:01:08. > :01:10.Nearby, a digger waits to collect it after each search.

:01:11. > :01:14.Scented air is fanned across the site to mask the smell.

:01:15. > :01:16.To search this area, we are using the

:01:17. > :01:19.digger to draw out the waste, to lay it out on the ground carefully.

:01:20. > :01:26.Katie Elliot from Suffolk Police has led a five-month investigation.

:01:27. > :01:28.She is confident her team will find Corrie here.

:01:33. > :01:36.And further in, police have set up a compound for the search

:01:53. > :01:55.made a collection from here within an hour of his disappearance.

:01:56. > :01:59.The last movements of his mobile phone

:02:00. > :02:02.coincided with the route the lorry took to the landfall.

:02:03. > :02:05.Nicola Urquhart, who has led the public search for her son, has

:02:06. > :02:08.steeled herself for this moment, but it is still devastating.

:02:09. > :02:12.Because when you don't know, you can still believe

:02:13. > :02:30.Police say the error over the bin's weight was made by

:02:31. > :02:32.the waste company, who provided the data.

:02:33. > :02:35.They say there was no intention to mislead the

:02:36. > :02:44.Has police known at the outset that the true weight of

:02:45. > :02:49.the bin, how different would this investigation be?

:02:50. > :02:52.It also begs two other questions - firstly, why did it

:02:53. > :02:54.take more than five months for this fact to emerge?

:02:55. > :02:56.And secondly, if Corrie was in that bin, how can

:02:57. > :02:59.a body have been taken to a landfill like this

:03:00. > :03:07.If that is what has happened, then we need to understand

:03:08. > :03:09.how that happened and understand the circumstances of

:03:10. > :03:15.In five months, police only made one arrest.

:03:16. > :03:18.Last week they questioned a man reported to be from the bin firm

:03:19. > :03:23.on suspicion of attempting to pervert because of justice.

:03:24. > :03:29.Both men have been told they will face no

:03:30. > :03:34.All eyes are now focused on this landfill site near

:03:35. > :03:37.Corrie McKeague's family are praying for the best, but are now

:03:38. > :03:43.Phillip Hammond has unveiled his first Budget as Chancellor.

:03:44. > :03:45.And, as expected, there's more money for the NHS,

:03:46. > :03:48.with an extra ?2 billion earmarked for social care.

:03:49. > :03:50.Over the next three years, hospitals will also benefit,

:03:51. > :03:53.with ?100 million, buying in more GPs to work in A E

:03:54. > :03:56.Science and research and development is another winner,

:03:57. > :03:57.with ?270 million funding new technologies.

:03:58. > :04:00.And a further ?300 million helping to create up to 1,000 PhD places.

:04:01. > :04:03.But it was business rates that were the key concern

:04:04. > :04:13.He's used to counting the pennies as well as pulling the pints and

:04:14. > :04:16.today, this publican had some good news to celebrate.

:04:17. > :04:17.The Chancellor confirming that pubs across the

:04:18. > :04:20.country would be given a ?1000 discount on their business rates.

:04:21. > :04:24.Anything is a help and, yeah, ?1000, to some people is a lot of money.

:04:25. > :04:26.In the great scheme of things, I don't

:04:27. > :04:32.suppose it's too much, but anything is a great help.

:04:33. > :04:35.Jethro currently pays ?20,000 a year as like many, he

:04:36. > :04:44.Across this region, the majority of businesses

:04:45. > :04:48.Only four areas will see a rise of up to 50%.

:04:49. > :04:50.The Government had been lambasted for what was

:04:51. > :04:53.They have today pledged to spread that

:04:54. > :04:57.What the Chancellor also announced, he was going to set up a

:04:58. > :05:00.review into what the digital based companies pay, because at the

:05:01. > :05:04.moment, it is those who have physical shops or warehouses or

:05:05. > :05:07.factory premises that paid the rates.

:05:08. > :05:10.It good news for the technology and research and

:05:11. > :05:15.With ?270 million earmarked for a robotics and

:05:16. > :05:21.Some of that money is likely to come to this region.

:05:22. > :05:23.Social care got by far the biggest windfall of the budget.

:05:24. > :05:26.?2 billion of the next three years, keeping

:05:27. > :05:33.people out of hospital and caring for the elderly.

:05:34. > :05:35.A critical way this new money will be spent

:05:36. > :05:38.will be trying to get people out of hospital

:05:39. > :05:46.Places in care homes, or domiciliary care homes, like the

:05:47. > :05:49.ones we provide, should be the first port of call for this money.

:05:50. > :05:52.Money gets too little and too late according to Labour.

:05:53. > :05:54.?1 billion, when ?5 billion has been taken out

:05:55. > :05:56.of the last few years, is tiny, frankly.

:05:57. > :05:59.Anything is welcome, but this is a sticking plaster for a

:06:00. > :06:03.The detail of how many of today's announcements will play out is still

:06:04. > :06:05.unknown, but for this publican at least more money

:06:06. > :06:11.Our Political Correspondent Andrew Sinclair has been

:06:12. > :06:21.What stands out for you in this Budget?

:06:22. > :06:28.And those who were worried about the increase in business rates power

:06:29. > :06:33.among the winners today. Social care has done pretty well. Tonight, our

:06:34. > :06:36.money going into social care, money going into social care,

:06:37. > :06:42.although they are pointing out that this is only a temporary solution.

:06:43. > :06:46.It doesn't solve the long-term funding crisis. The Government has

:06:47. > :06:50.a consultation into the future a consultation into the future

:06:51. > :06:53.funding of social care. There is more money for hospitals to help

:06:54. > :06:58.them cope with the growing pressures this winter in a empty. These are

:06:59. > :07:02.all becoming very big problems in our region. Local MPs like them

:07:03. > :07:03.mother-to-be template and he listened.

:07:04. > :07:09.Were there any local spending announcements today?

:07:10. > :07:16.No, we will get local detail in the weeks to come. The money into

:07:17. > :07:18.research and development is very research and development is very

:07:19. > :07:22.significant and I'm told to get a lot of that coming our way. The

:07:23. > :07:28.Chancellor said today those are things like research and development

:07:29. > :07:29.space we search, driverless cars, all things that we are very good at

:07:30. > :07:33.here in the east. Thank you, Andrew. A pioneering sexual

:07:34. > :07:34.assault referral centre has been officially opened

:07:35. > :07:36.at Hinchingbrooke Hospital today. The Elms aims to put

:07:37. > :07:39.the victim first by focusing on their

:07:40. > :07:40.health and wellbeing, while at the same time gathering

:07:41. > :07:42.evidence for prosecution. Louise Hubball has been

:07:43. > :07:45.to take a look around. Opened today by Baroness Newlove,

:07:46. > :07:47.the Government's Her husband, Gary,

:07:48. > :07:55.was murdered ten years ago. For her, this new centre

:07:56. > :07:58.for such a assault victims is a national model, merging

:07:59. > :08:01.police and medical care under one So, I think it works very well,

:08:02. > :08:09.because there is nothing worse It means having the strength to go

:08:10. > :08:17.and visit another place to speak to another individual, where

:08:18. > :08:19.this builds on the relationship. This is from the

:08:20. > :08:20.victims' perspective. This whole centre is

:08:21. > :08:22.focused on the victim. There are examination

:08:23. > :08:24.rooms with those who have just been attacked,

:08:25. > :08:26.and also homely counselling spaces. This young women was

:08:27. > :08:28.raped and has been supported by a similar

:08:29. > :08:30.referral centre. Her words, spoken by an actor,

:08:31. > :08:32.to protect her identity. There was a nurse

:08:33. > :08:36.and a support worker. They made me feel at

:08:37. > :08:38.ease and examined me. The room we are in now,

:08:39. > :08:41.it's beautifully furnished. There are flowers, how

:08:42. > :08:56.much a difference does that kind of thing make when having

:08:57. > :09:03.to go through something You need to feel in a place that is

:09:04. > :09:15.warm and relaxing and bright. You don't want to be in a dreary

:09:16. > :09:17.room, where there's nothing It'll just make you feel

:09:18. > :09:21.more low and scared. What do you think about

:09:22. > :09:23.the new centre here? The purpose here is to help

:09:24. > :09:25.victims cope and recover. The presence of a video link system

:09:26. > :09:29.means they can also give evidence By having a court link room

:09:30. > :09:32.within the facility, it actually means that we can bring

:09:33. > :09:35.them into an environment where they are still feeling comfortable

:09:36. > :09:37.and calm and hopefully have some confidence around the support

:09:38. > :09:39.system that's in place. So, the importance of that is

:09:40. > :09:42.that they can give the There's also a specialised

:09:43. > :09:44.section for children. Whatever the age of those

:09:45. > :09:47.who have been abused, the goal to allow them

:09:48. > :09:50.to rebuild their lives. Members of the public

:09:51. > :09:52.in Bedfordshire are being offered free scans to test

:09:53. > :09:54.for liver disease. The mobile unit has

:09:55. > :09:56.been in Bedford today The scans aim to pick up any

:09:57. > :10:00.signs of liver damage. These areas have the highest

:10:01. > :10:02.premature death rate from liver Each year more than 200 people

:10:03. > :10:06.are admitted to Bedford Hospital It can be caused

:10:07. > :10:09.by obesity diabetes, Liver disease is know

:10:10. > :10:12.as a silent killer. That's how the region

:10:13. > :10:13.is looking tonight. But from me and the late

:10:14. > :10:17.team, good night. We'll be back with the Breakfast

:10:18. > :10:19.bulletins from 6:25am Going to keep some fairly mild

:10:20. > :10:23.temperatures over the And for tonight, for

:10:24. > :10:26.most of us, temperature is not expected to drop lower

:10:27. > :10:29.than around 7 degrees. There will be some areas of cloud

:10:30. > :10:31.coming and going, so under those clear skies, it is

:10:32. > :10:35.possible it might just get a little But on the whole, it's looking

:10:36. > :10:38.like fairly mild overnight lows. And this weather system that brought

:10:39. > :10:41.us cloud and rain first thing this morning

:10:42. > :10:43.is still to the south, but it is well at the way

:10:44. > :10:45.for tomorrow and we are expecting some

:10:46. > :10:47.fine weather across the region Maybe some patchy cloud around

:10:48. > :10:51.at first, but some good So, temperatures climbing

:10:52. > :10:54.into the mid-teens. South-westerly, initially

:10:55. > :10:56.and then swinging around Quite a noticeable

:10:57. > :10:59.breeze, but lots of fine The National weather is coming up,

:11:00. > :11:09.but here's the outlook. Hello. Spring is in the air with

:11:10. > :11:14.temperatures reaching 14 or 15 in a few spots today as they will again

:11:15. > :11:21.over the next few days. Very pleasant in the sun. The daffodils

:11:22. > :11:26.were loving that in York. More places under blue sky tomorrow and

:11:27. > :11:30.dry. Tonight heavy showers moving across Scotland on strong to gale

:11:31. > :11:34.force winds, some may clip Northern Ireland. It's a mild night in

:11:35. > :11:45.southern England and South Wales but damp and drizzly, misty with coastal

:11:46. > :11:51.and hill fog elsewhere. Temperatures in between and dry: This damp

:11:52. > :11:54.weather hangs on from parts of the Channel Islands, to Cornwall.

:11:55. > :11:57.Elsewhere, it's getting brighter in South Wales and southern England. In

:11:58. > :11:58.England, Wales and Northern Ireland some sunny
