:00:10. > :00:11.Hello, first tonight - at least four hospitals in this

:00:12. > :00:14.region tell us they have been victims of the cyber attack

:00:15. > :00:19.A number of others have taken precautions to try to protect

:00:20. > :00:24.Well, our reporter Stuart Ratcliffe has the latest on how

:00:25. > :00:36.The first hospital to announce they had problems was the list in

:00:37. > :00:41.Stevenage and the QE2 in the Wellens and then later on we also had

:00:42. > :00:47.capturing and Northampton were also having problems with their IT

:00:48. > :00:51.systems. It seems at 11:30am the Lister and QE2 suspected an attack

:00:52. > :00:56.and decided to close their entire computer systems down to protect

:00:57. > :00:59.them. That meant they had to cancel all nonemergency appointments and

:01:00. > :01:03.they were also telling patients not to go to accident-macro unless

:01:04. > :01:08.necessary. Similar message -- measures were put in Kettering but

:01:09. > :01:14.they have not confirmed an attack actually took place there. We

:01:15. > :01:18.understand the suspected cyber attacks have not compromised any

:01:19. > :01:21.confidential patient details. Other hospitals in the region have not

:01:22. > :01:27.been affected but some of close their e-mail systems as a precaution

:01:28. > :01:32.and Peterborough City Hospital's website has been taken off-line to

:01:33. > :01:37.protect it. It has been a ransomware cyber attack and tonight the cyber

:01:38. > :01:42.crime Centre at Cambridge told us back in March Microsoft issued an

:01:43. > :01:46.emergency warning their systems could be bombed rubble to attack.

:01:47. > :01:46.In other news - An inquest jury has concluded that a string of failures

:01:47. > :01:49.contributed to the death of a prisoner at Woodhill

:01:50. > :01:52.45-year-old Michael Cameron was found hanging in his cell,

:01:53. > :01:57.He's one of 18 prisoners who've taken their own lives there,

:01:58. > :02:14.Michael Cameron had been charged with serious offences,

:02:15. > :02:17.He was dependent on alcohol and known to take drugs.

:02:18. > :02:21.The inquest heard that, while in police custody,

:02:22. > :02:26.He was assessed as being at very high risk of self harm.

:02:27. > :02:29.When he was transferred to Woodhill prison, we heard Michael Cameron

:02:30. > :02:34.He was given a 2-3-minute mental-health screening but never

:02:35. > :02:38.referred for an urgent mental health review.

:02:39. > :02:43.I think a mental health assessment should have been done for him.

:02:44. > :02:46.If he seen a doctor when he was there, he never saw a doctor,

:02:47. > :02:50.I think Michael would still be with us today.

:02:51. > :02:54.I'm so angry and nothing will bring Michael back.

:02:55. > :02:57.The jury was told that, while at Woodhill prison,

:02:58. > :03:00.razor blades were found in his cell and handed in to staff

:03:01. > :03:05.Prescription medication was not always given because staff

:03:06. > :03:09.were concerned he was under the influence of drugs.

:03:10. > :03:12.And on the day he was found hanged, his cell-mate was moved,

:03:13. > :03:17.The inquest heard that, on that day, Michael Cameron should have been

:03:18. > :03:23.But he was found hanging 36 minutes after his last check.

:03:24. > :03:27.He died at Milton Keynes Hospital two days after being found

:03:28. > :03:30.in his cell, having suffered severe brain damage.

:03:31. > :03:33.Today, the jury found there was a failure to carry out

:03:34. > :03:38.Each of these failures contributed to his death.

:03:39. > :03:47.Michael is the 14th self-inflicted death in the run of 18 between May

:03:48. > :03:55.It is dispiriting to ask the same questions, the same witnesses

:03:56. > :04:00.and have the same and have the same answers, and see the

:04:01. > :04:06.It was the conclusion Michael's mother had been hoping

:04:07. > :04:12.for but she said nothing will bring him back.

:04:13. > :04:18.A judicial review looking at a high rate of deaths is concluding later

:04:19. > :04:22.this month but the prison itself says there have been no

:04:23. > :04:26.self-inflicted deaths at the prison this year saying changes have all

:04:27. > :04:27.ready been made based on recommendations from the prison

:04:28. > :04:29.ombudsman. Well earlier I spoke to Mark Day

:04:30. > :04:32.of the Prison Reform Trust. I asked him how widespread

:04:33. > :04:35.the problem of self-harm and suicide The statistics show that 47%

:04:36. > :04:45.of women and 21% of men in prison have attempted suicide at some point

:04:46. > :04:50.in their life and this compares to just 6%

:04:51. > :04:55.of the general population. This is a worrying trend

:04:56. > :04:57.and the number of suicides you say The causes are complex

:04:58. > :05:05.and it is important to pay attention to the particular circumstances

:05:06. > :05:09.of individual cases but we can certainly point to the decline

:05:10. > :05:14.in the numbers of staff, this comes on top of systematic

:05:15. > :05:20.overcrowding in the estate, we are at 20,000 people currently

:05:21. > :05:24.housed in conditions overcrowded and we also have this very high

:05:25. > :05:27.level of vulnerability Let's look specifically at Woodhill

:05:28. > :05:33.prison, what are your concerns Well, a series of inquests

:05:34. > :05:41.and prison and probation ombudsman reports have shown a failure

:05:42. > :05:47.of the establishment to learn the lessons of previous deaths

:05:48. > :05:51.and implement the recommendations of the inquests and the ombudsman

:05:52. > :05:54.so there seems to be particular circumstances at Woodhill which have

:05:55. > :05:57.contributed to this alarming level A crackdown has been launched

:05:58. > :06:05.on anti-social behaviour Eighty pound on the spot

:06:06. > :06:10.fines can be issued - for infringements including -

:06:11. > :06:11.riding on pavements It's part of efforts to make town

:06:12. > :06:19.centres more user-friendly. In rugby, Northampton Saints

:06:20. > :06:21.could still qualify for next season's European Champions Cup

:06:22. > :06:23.after Gloucester lost the European Challenge Cup final

:06:24. > :06:27.tonight to Stade Francais, It means Saints are now

:06:28. > :06:32.into a play-off where they'll face Conaught in the semi-finals next

:06:33. > :06:37.weekend at Franklin's Gardens. Time for a look at the weather now -

:06:38. > :06:41.and after a chilly week and rain today, let's hope it's

:06:42. > :06:50.a good weekend ahead. A largely dry night with some clear

:06:51. > :06:56.spells and a few isolated showers. For most of us, we stay in double

:06:57. > :06:59.figures or bro spots could drop down to eight or nine Celsius. Saturday,

:07:00. > :07:02.bright or sunny spells but a scattering of showers but I do not

:07:03. > :07:07.think the showers will be for everyone but one or two could be on

:07:08. > :07:13.the sharp side. In the best of the sunshine, temperatures up to 20 when

:07:14. > :07:16.Celsius. Saturday night into Sunday, a cold front whips through producing

:07:17. > :07:21.a couple of millimetres of rain but it should be gone by Sunday morning

:07:22. > :07:26.leaving us with a day of sunshine and showers and some showers could

:07:27. > :07:30.be on the heavy side. In a moment, the national forecast but I did with

:07:31. > :07:32.the Outlook. Monday, rain in the morning and try and bright, Tuesday

:07:33. > :07:42.dry but largely cloudy. A bit of a mixed bag earlier on

:07:43. > :07:48.today, some of us were cloudy with rain. This is the view from one of

:07:49. > :07:52.our weather watchers in Cornwall. But in the Highlands of Scotland, it

:07:53. > :07:57.was completely different, find, sunny and warm. The satellite and

:07:58. > :07:58.radar picture shows the variety of weather we have
