:00:00. > :00:00.live from Great Yarmouth, and on BBC One we now join the BBC's

:00:00. > :00:07.where tonight the East coast is on severe alert

:00:08. > :00:13.All day, thousands of residents in coastal towns have been

:00:14. > :00:20.as gale force winds and high tides threaten to overwhelm sea defences.

:00:21. > :00:31.Soldiers are on stand-by along the coast to help.

:00:32. > :00:36.There will be around 12 hours of disruption here, people are just

:00:37. > :00:37.hoping that the high winds never arrive.

:00:38. > :00:41.Stay with us for the next half hour as we ask the experts what to expect

:00:42. > :00:42.when high tide arrives later this evening.

:00:43. > :00:45.In other news tonight, The Government gives the greenl ight

:00:46. > :00:47.to a host of road schemes to get the region moving.

:00:48. > :00:50.And much of the region gets its first taste of winter.

:00:51. > :01:03.We have the best of your weather pictures.

:01:04. > :01:16.Here in Great Yarmouth the people wake up to snow as they did in many

:01:17. > :01:19.places across the region, it is very cold and there is a strong wind

:01:20. > :01:24.blowing and it could be much worse would this evening. There are 17

:01:25. > :01:28.severe flood warnings in operation across the region, that means there

:01:29. > :01:33.is a danger to life, there are 89 other flood warnings. Deadly you

:01:34. > :01:40.where the problems are. Starting at Norfolk around to Great Yarmouth, in

:01:41. > :01:44.Suffolk and Southwold is down to Felixstowe and in Essex, Clacton and

:01:45. > :01:51.Southend. Lots of people worrying about the high tide, it will come

:01:52. > :01:55.the series around 9pm and 11pm and as you can see people are filling up

:01:56. > :01:58.sandbags. The Council have put in sand and have told people to come

:01:59. > :02:01.along with their own bags and shovels and to go and protect their

:02:02. > :02:11.homes. Let's start in Great Yarmouth.

:02:12. > :02:18.Warning people to leave their homes because of a severe flood risk which

:02:19. > :02:24.means there is a real danger. Many have been advised to leave, many are

:02:25. > :02:28.not keen to go. I have never gone, but it has come right to the edge of

:02:29. > :02:39.the curb, just out here. The last time in 2013. But nothing, so... I

:02:40. > :02:42.am just going to stay and pray lucky. This morning's high tide came

:02:43. > :02:50.and went without problems, tonight high tide is what everyone is

:02:51. > :02:54.concerned about. If there are 50-60 mph winds down the tide is likely to

:02:55. > :02:59.breach the first and that is because there is no sea defence is of the

:03:00. > :03:03.water will easily flood these homes. These are preparing for the worst,

:03:04. > :03:08.filling up sandbags to protect their homes. The panicking, I'm trying to

:03:09. > :03:13.sort something. Hopefully the wind will keep it away. It has happened a

:03:14. > :03:18.couple times before it has not quite got our house but I would rather be

:03:19. > :03:26.prepared. You can get away with it forever, it is bound to happen one

:03:27. > :03:31.year. Lives and Roman have spent the morning moving their possessions and

:03:32. > :03:37.the cat upstairs away from any possible floodwaters. Touchwood,

:03:38. > :03:43.fingers crossed, we hopefully get away with it but as an all boys

:03:44. > :03:48.could only to be prepared. It is not just flooding, late morning the snow

:03:49. > :03:53.for -- the snow as forecast arrived, really Great Yarmouth battling some

:03:54. > :03:56.of the worst weather combinations. To make the police are concerned

:03:57. > :03:59.that people are not moving from their homes. If the event goes the

:04:00. > :04:04.way that it could with the warnings we have had that would then turn

:04:05. > :04:09.into a rescue operations I would urge people to heed the warnings and

:04:10. > :04:13.evacuate. Tonight, 200 military personnel are on stand-by to help

:04:14. > :04:16.with the evacuation. It is now a waiting game which many hope is not

:04:17. > :04:27.won by the strong wind and tide. Let's stop to see people filling the

:04:28. > :04:34.sandbags. Mark Kate and Telecom already went -- ready live? I live

:04:35. > :04:39.in Newtown. We will stay there. We sell is happening three years ago in

:04:40. > :04:43.2013 but you have to take precautions. So we're just filling

:04:44. > :04:47.up sandbags and blocking the doorway is. I have done about so far today I

:04:48. > :04:55.have done about 20 sandbags but that is for relatives as well. Eight what

:04:56. > :05:01.about you? We live nearby. The army have told us to leave so we will

:05:02. > :05:06.front it out. Have you moved things in the house? We have moved some

:05:07. > :05:13.things upstairs. They say should leave, why don't you? I have a dog,

:05:14. > :05:17.had will not go anywhere without the dog. They have said where we can go

:05:18. > :05:23.but if you get overcrowded I would rather leave it to the elderly. They

:05:24. > :05:27.reckon this will get bad at around nine or ten o'clock. Nine or 930 and

:05:28. > :05:31.I have heard it will be worse than last time. I'm keeping an eye on the

:05:32. > :05:38.place and looking around so the worst comes to worst then we will

:05:39. > :05:42.get out. Where would you go? I have relatives in case showcases high

:05:43. > :05:48.ground follows. Sorry to interrupt your digging. Fingers crossed for

:05:49. > :05:52.you tonight. It is about 5000 homes here, further down the coast of

:05:53. > :05:56.course is thousands more. One of the places we look at was direct, let's

:05:57. > :06:03.see what the situation there is tonight.

:06:04. > :06:09.This is a high risk flood zone with many low-lying truly construct its

:06:10. > :06:12.single-storey buildings. At lunchtime today and in 3000 people

:06:13. > :06:17.were feared to be in danger from the tidal surge. The lunchtime high tide

:06:18. > :06:21.has come and gone without incident at the wind has really got up well

:06:22. > :06:26.as the real concerns about the high tide tonight. This afternoon the

:06:27. > :06:30.emergency services were gathering ahead of a concerted evacuation

:06:31. > :06:35.programme. Fire crews and police visiting homes and advising people

:06:36. > :06:39.to to safety. Hazel who lives near the sea wall was planning to return

:06:40. > :06:43.to a rest centre. They told us it is going to be bad tonight. At the

:06:44. > :06:47.moment I have just come home to have a cup of tea and something to eat

:06:48. > :06:54.and wait from a husband to come home from work. Then we will get sorted

:06:55. > :06:59.out. Helen Davies deciding to stay. Your close of the sea wall. I am, I

:07:00. > :07:04.have been in situations before around the weather and if you have

:07:05. > :07:10.been through a panicking before abroad, so I have stuck things out

:07:11. > :07:16.before so we will see how things go. Martin, he retired to his home on

:07:17. > :07:21.stilts two years ago. I will remain until high tide when I will leave

:07:22. > :07:25.for an hour. When it is if you come back and will come back panel

:07:26. > :07:30.comeback. James is chief executive of the Environment Agency which

:07:31. > :07:34.issued the severe weather warning. We will not apologise for putting

:07:35. > :07:38.people's lives first, we know the history and we know that sadly here

:07:39. > :07:46.in 195337 people died when the sea came over the wall. The sea came

:07:47. > :07:52.very close in 2013 at the top of the law here in Jay Wick and we'll

:07:53. > :07:55.always bear on the side of caution. Several hundred people could spend

:07:56. > :07:58.the night at the rest centre, many signing in with their pets like

:07:59. > :08:05.Gloria Carter. Joyce Holloway is here with her neighbour Charlotte.

:08:06. > :08:10.We going home having registered, going home, having something to eat,

:08:11. > :08:16.getting ready to come back this evening until we know it is safe to

:08:17. > :08:21.go home. It is the worry isn't it? Everybody's been put through. And

:08:22. > :08:26.when you get our age you don't want these worries. A police search and

:08:27. > :08:30.rescue unit and Essex search and rescue volunteers are on hand as the

:08:31. > :08:35.hours tick away until the next high tide just after midnight.

:08:36. > :08:44.Let me give you some figures. The council had said that 250 tonnes of

:08:45. > :08:48.sand bottom, 10,000 bags, people are coming of the time and filling the

:08:49. > :08:51.bags. If you look at the properties behind me these houses which should

:08:52. > :08:55.have been evacuated but there is a light on in every property so we

:08:56. > :09:00.reckon about 60% of people are staying in their own homes. Let's

:09:01. > :09:05.talk to the Flood Minister who is in Suffolk. You have been having a look

:09:06. > :09:12.around, what is your reaction to what has gone on today? Goal I am

:09:13. > :09:18.really impressed that people have been responding to the request to

:09:19. > :09:21.evacuate. We are used to postal surges but this has the high wind

:09:22. > :09:26.attached to it which is why severe warnings have been issued and it is

:09:27. > :09:30.important that people take expert advice and if they're in that area

:09:31. > :09:34.then do get out, there are places where you have friends and family

:09:35. > :09:37.and the these centres that are being stuffed and I want to thank the

:09:38. > :09:42.volunteers and council officers who are working hard to make people

:09:43. > :09:47.comfortable. Are you disappointed that we are hearing that between 60

:09:48. > :09:56.and 70% of people are staying in their homes? We can't force people

:09:57. > :10:01.to leave, but they must remember back to 2013 when there was damage,

:10:02. > :10:04.what is different this time is that we don't know quite what the impact

:10:05. > :10:09.will be because the wind is strong but the mother wins can change

:10:10. > :10:13.suddenly and in fact in 2013 is the wind had not dropped at a critical

:10:14. > :10:17.moment the damage would have been worse so I want to encourage people

:10:18. > :10:20.to think about their priorities, that we want to help them be safe

:10:21. > :10:24.and in many places in Great Yarmouth and elsewhere along this coast,

:10:25. > :10:30.leaving their homes and going somewhere safe is the most important

:10:31. > :10:36.thing they can do to write. From which you are, what have you seen

:10:37. > :10:40.that you have gone round the course? This morning I was in London and the

:10:41. > :10:44.National Flood centre for the initial report and then today I have

:10:45. > :10:48.been in J Wick where people are working hard, the Environment Agency

:10:49. > :10:52.has been out deploying the barriers as was expected. Now we have seen

:10:53. > :10:58.help from the Armed Forces comment alongside our emergency services,

:10:59. > :11:02.they have all been really proactive and the main priority is to help

:11:03. > :11:04.people be safe. This level of preparation should give people

:11:05. > :11:10.confidence but it should not be complacent either. There will be

:11:11. > :11:15.people at this to say we should do more, is the more we could do? The

:11:16. > :11:21.government has over a six-year period in this -- is over a six-year

:11:22. > :11:27.period investing ?2.5 million in defences around the country. The

:11:28. > :11:31.asking the people will not vote in Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft and

:11:32. > :11:35.Felixstowe, crack and Intuit, and we continue to develop schemes where we

:11:36. > :11:40.continue to invest and protects people as best we can but today in

:11:41. > :11:42.particular with this insurgency high winds we want people to focus on the

:11:43. > :11:51.safety. We are going to have a look at what

:11:52. > :11:56.else is happening in Suffolk with Kevin Burke. Last night that

:11:57. > :12:00.Felixstowe Ferry we watched as locals did what they could to

:12:01. > :12:03.prepare for an onslaught. Today the moment of truth junior with high

:12:04. > :12:08.tide expected around midday but open for business closer to the water 's

:12:09. > :12:13.edge than most, the aptly named Spring tide fish shop. Mother nature

:12:14. > :12:16.is a force that you can predict when she comes knocking on your door, you

:12:17. > :12:21.have to accept that at the end of the day. It is part of living in a

:12:22. > :12:29.coastal community. If you were to not expected then move in town! In a

:12:30. > :12:33.car park buses were on stand-by to move residents but in the end

:12:34. > :12:38.neither they nor the boards would slot into this gap in flood defences

:12:39. > :12:43.were needed. The surge in 2013 game higher. Environment Agency and

:12:44. > :12:47.police have to be with the fail-safe saw the times we get situations

:12:48. > :12:52.where we to trigger the various levels as it has turned out we have

:12:53. > :12:56.not got the but we do need to be ahead of the game. With the high

:12:57. > :12:59.tide having been and gone there is the sense of relief here but not

:13:00. > :13:04.much because a second tide is coming in later that could prove more

:13:05. > :13:07.difficult and at the moment teams in the Environment Agency are walking

:13:08. > :13:11.down the stretch of coast just to check now also been punched in the

:13:12. > :13:16.sea defences because if they have the need to be plugged before the

:13:17. > :13:20.second tide comes in. In Lowestoft the water was not as high but they

:13:21. > :13:25.had in use for the first time ever they flood barriers. Tonight 's tide

:13:26. > :13:32.could prove a much sterner test for the town where three years ago 165

:13:33. > :13:35.homes and businesses were swamped. This evening there are severe flood

:13:36. > :13:39.warnings and we are likely to test the temporary barriers. They will do

:13:40. > :13:45.a good job and lessen the risk of flooding in the town but they don't

:13:46. > :13:48.do the whole job. In Lowestoft that the ferry in the fairly be no wait,

:13:49. > :13:55.one critical moment has passed but another is looming.

:13:56. > :14:01.I have just seen a car going off with its backlight down with

:14:02. > :14:02.sandbags, that's it for now and we will be back in Great Yarmouth and a

:14:03. > :14:12.little while but now back to Suzy. The Government has promised that

:14:13. > :14:15.work on several long awaited road schemes in the region will start

:14:16. > :14:17.in the next four years. It's re-committed itself

:14:18. > :14:19.to the projects in Cambridgeshire, and it's also given the go

:14:20. > :14:27.ahead for a new motorway Our political correspondent

:14:28. > :14:29.Andrew Sinclair is here. Let's start with the new

:14:30. > :14:38.junction where will it be? It is going to be a few miles north

:14:39. > :14:44.of Harlow and will be called Junction seven hey. There has been a

:14:45. > :14:47.long campaign for a junction out of Harlow, the existing one is often

:14:48. > :14:51.congested and with 15,000 new homes and business growth falling in it is

:14:52. > :14:56.going to be needed. The county council has already agreed to part

:14:57. > :14:59.fund the scheme, now the government suggests construction work and

:15:00. > :15:03.starred in the next two years little to late campaigners are delighted.

:15:04. > :15:07.It is an incredibly important moment in the town history and it will

:15:08. > :15:11.unlock business and he is life for thousands of motorists travelling to

:15:12. > :15:15.and from Harlow and will make it easier for businesses to come to our

:15:16. > :15:19.town and increase jobs and prosperity for everyone. It will

:15:20. > :15:25.make Harlow a centre of business and science Centre of excellence. What

:15:26. > :15:32.about the other schemes? Three big projects, the widening of the A12 in

:15:33. > :15:37.Essex and upgrading various stages of the a 47. The government promised

:15:38. > :15:42.more than ?1 billion to fund the scheme is back in 2014 but since

:15:43. > :15:45.then everything has gone quiet so that was starting to worry

:15:46. > :15:49.campaigners but now things have suddenly moved forward. I raise

:15:50. > :15:53.England saying it is launching consultations to all those plans and

:15:54. > :15:58.saying that the work will start by 2020. There was more good news,

:15:59. > :16:04.local councillors are getting 11.5 million this year to tackle pot

:16:05. > :16:06.holes. Also money being made available for safety improvements on

:16:07. > :16:12.smaller roads and that is probably it for now afford big board

:16:13. > :16:15.announcements for the region. The budget is now allocated until well

:16:16. > :16:19.past 2020. And Sunday politics is back this

:16:20. > :16:23.week. Yes, taking a close look at the crisis over social care and also

:16:24. > :16:26.Stewart has an exclusive interview with Jeremy Corbyn.

:16:27. > :16:28.The region's business leaders were told today they could win

:16:29. > :16:30.contracts worth hundreds of millions of pounds

:16:31. > :16:32.if the Sizewell C nuclear power station goes ahead.

:16:33. > :16:35.Energy giant EDF, which is behind the project in Suffolk,

:16:36. > :16:44.is urging businesses to sign up now as suppliers.

:16:45. > :16:51.Concrete, you need an awful lot of it for a new nuclear power station.

:16:52. > :16:55.It since this company down to the ground. It is already selling its

:16:56. > :17:03.retaining walls to the Hinkley point station in Somerset. That is

:17:04. > :17:07.currently under construction. Being just on the road from Sizewell puts

:17:08. > :17:12.it in prime position to supply Hinkley's sister station. The

:17:13. > :17:15.product can be usefully multitude of applications, from the ground works

:17:16. > :17:20.in the initial stages to potential materials for the construction and

:17:21. > :17:25.right through to security and many other applications so we see this as

:17:26. > :17:29.a very long-term opportunity for our products. Today in Ipswich EDF the

:17:30. > :17:33.company wants to build size will seek urge to local companies to

:17:34. > :17:38.become suppliers. More than 1000 have already signed up. If you take

:17:39. > :17:44.the example from Somerset where there's a war for under the ?60

:17:45. > :17:47.million worth of contracts already placed, so the stage -- so the

:17:48. > :17:52.opportunities are large especially for this region. There have been

:17:53. > :17:56.lots of delays in getting Sizewell C of the ground, the planning

:17:57. > :18:01.application has yet to be submitted but with Hinkley point under way the

:18:02. > :18:07.prospect of Sizewell draws neither. It would provide 7% of the UK's

:18:08. > :18:11.electricity was 25,000 employment opportunities through the lifetime

:18:12. > :18:16.of the project. Most of the major components would have to be imported

:18:17. > :18:20.but local companies like this now they can trade quite happily from

:18:21. > :18:21.other contracts for years to come, safeguarding jobs in the Suffolk

:18:22. > :18:24.countryside. Well, despite the bad weather,

:18:25. > :18:37.we are expecting a full programme Snow does not affect groundsmen, it

:18:38. > :18:41.offers insulation to the pitch to stop at freezing so no news of any

:18:42. > :18:45.postponement. I understand Northampton have a new

:18:46. > :18:50.manager. A familiar name, Justin Edinburgh has agreed it to have your

:18:51. > :18:53.contract. He managed the diamonds before they went into the

:18:54. > :18:58.illustration. He replaces Rob Pater was sacked on Monday. Edinburgh was

:18:59. > :19:02.dismissed by Gillian and ten days ago but given the managerial

:19:03. > :19:06.merry-go-round in football, the team's board think he's the man to

:19:07. > :19:09.time around the fortunes. Ipswich and Norwich have games they

:19:10. > :19:14.will be looking to win. Absolutely, they both play teams in

:19:15. > :19:20.the championship bottom three. For now it is rotten -- Rotherham. Talks

:19:21. > :19:24.appear to be progressing with Swansea, Robbie Brady has been

:19:25. > :19:27.linked with a move to Burnley. No transfer news at Ipswich, it seems

:19:28. > :19:34.to be hard work for manager of both clubs. Teams are throwing money

:19:35. > :19:37.around that is ridiculous. Some of the words I have been hearing about,

:19:38. > :19:42.does not compare to what we're doing so we have been having a tough but

:19:43. > :19:47.we are doing it certainly can -- and will continue to do it. We need to

:19:48. > :19:51.move people out before we bring people in, I don't think that is a

:19:52. > :19:55.surprise. But we're certainly looking to do business. What is this

:19:56. > :20:03.about MK Dons giving away free tickets to every home fan? Ironic,

:20:04. > :20:07.in a week when Norwich gave a -- if an apology for charging too much, MK

:20:08. > :20:13.Dons are laying on free travel for the replay, -- at the other end of

:20:14. > :20:17.the scale MK Dons are giving away one free ticket to every fan living

:20:18. > :20:22.in the area. The chairman is hoping to fill the stadium. There are still

:20:23. > :20:27.a lot of people who maybe have not been to Stadium MK, they have

:20:28. > :20:31.excuses, too busy, too expensive, but I don't want any excuses. I want

:20:32. > :20:35.to take this chance to give everyone the opportunity to come to the

:20:36. > :20:37.stadium. And we will have coverage of all those Broadway local station.

:20:38. > :20:39.Thank you. More now on the predicted

:20:40. > :20:41.storm surge, which could bring flooding to parts

:20:42. > :20:43.of the region's coast tonight. Let's get the latest

:20:44. > :20:54.from Stewart in Great Yarmouth. Thank you. Mike Johnson is with me

:20:55. > :20:59.from the Environment Agency. What is the latest as far as you know?

:21:00. > :21:04.Looking around the coast, we have many severe flood warnings here in

:21:05. > :21:09.Great Yarmouth, Lowestoft, locations on the Suffolk coast and also in

:21:10. > :21:14.Essex, places like J Wick. There are a number of locations where we are

:21:15. > :21:17.working closely with emergency services, where we are really

:21:18. > :21:22.concerned about people safety and water coming over the defences. This

:21:23. > :21:28.would be as a result of the tidal surge in strong wind. We have a

:21:29. > :21:33.couple of hours before the high tide comes but it is a strong wind that

:21:34. > :21:39.will make the difference. They are the uncertainty that will add that

:21:40. > :21:46.extra dimension to the tidal surge and hence why we are, why we have

:21:47. > :21:50.agreed with the Norfolk flood control to issue these warnings.

:21:51. > :21:54.These winds from the north which makes it difficult. The currently

:21:55. > :21:59.more westerly but the coming north-west and that drives the see

:22:00. > :22:02.further down the North Sea. We have had these warnings in the past,

:22:03. > :22:06.coupled years ago we had warnings and people say they left their homes

:22:07. > :22:11.but actually it did not turn out too badly. And people are very

:22:12. > :22:16.complacent about. What is your message for them? Remain vigilant,

:22:17. > :22:20.take the advice and heed the advice of the emergency services so if they

:22:21. > :22:26.do ask you to temporarily leave your premises I would recommend that you

:22:27. > :22:31.do so. It is about people safety and it is a risk to life if the water

:22:32. > :22:35.does come over. We were telling people last night and we should see

:22:36. > :22:40.again, if you are not supposed to be here then don't be here, .com and

:22:41. > :22:44.have a look. Absolutely, and exposed locations where there will be strong

:22:45. > :22:49.waves crashing against defences and promenades, it is a very dangerous

:22:50. > :22:51.place to be so please stay away. Stay indoors.

:22:52. > :22:57.Thank you and I hope you have a quiet night. It is one of those

:22:58. > :23:02.times, people think that my people seem to be pulling together, people

:23:03. > :23:05.getting the sand and sandbags ready to block the front doors and make

:23:06. > :23:07.sure what doesn't get in but from Great Yarmouth, back to you in the

:23:08. > :23:07.studio. Well, it's not just the flooding

:23:08. > :23:10.we've got to worry about many parts of the region had

:23:11. > :23:13.the first taste of winter And that prompted many of you to

:23:14. > :23:17.share your pictures on social media. Thanks to Neil Hall for this picture

:23:18. > :23:22.of a lone figure in the snow And the snow didn't stop this

:23:23. > :23:28.postman in Winfathing, Here's this little fella in Essex

:23:29. > :23:34.braving the weather. But here's this little one

:23:35. > :23:40.in Northamptonshire, who's thinking, And this really captures

:23:41. > :23:49.the mood on social media - the snow didn't stick around

:23:50. > :23:52.for long in some places across the region but people

:23:53. > :23:54.made the most of it, But let's go to other

:23:55. > :23:57.parts of the county, to Luton now where some places

:23:58. > :24:00.saw the snow settling. And here's how parts

:24:01. > :24:02.of Suffolk looked earlier. Back to Norfolk and this

:24:03. > :24:08.is the scene over Norwich market. And this final picture really

:24:09. > :24:12.captures the weather today: on one hand we have the snow

:24:13. > :24:16.and on the other high tide bringing with it,

:24:17. > :24:18.the risk of flooding Thanks to all of you who have been

:24:19. > :24:27.sending in your pictures to us via Facebook, Twitter and also

:24:28. > :24:41.to our weather watchers. We saw some snow across the region

:24:42. > :24:46.early on this morning, this is how the radar alert when that was taking

:24:47. > :24:51.place. Apache ski and snowboarding southwards. It did turn to more

:24:52. > :24:55.sweet and then back to rain but since then it has to do so and once

:24:56. > :24:58.that cleared the wind picked up and through the course of 1's time into

:24:59. > :25:03.the afternoon we have seen winds of 45 miles an hour. It is still

:25:04. > :25:06.costing 50 miles an hour across the north coast right now. It is the

:25:07. > :25:11.wind causing the issues with the risk of coastal flooding, you can

:25:12. > :25:15.see this northerly wind with tight isobars piling in. That brings the

:25:16. > :25:20.risk this evening of fossil flooding in some parts of the region. The

:25:21. > :25:24.next high tide is coming up this evening across the North Norfolk

:25:25. > :25:27.coast, and gradually through the evening the title work its way down

:25:28. > :25:31.the east coast so we're looking at roundabout nine o'clock for Great

:25:32. > :25:36.Yarmouth, ten for Lowestoft. Half past midnight for Felix J Wick to

:25:37. > :25:42.the quarter to one where the water will be at its highest. If you are

:25:43. > :25:48.at all concerned about the risk of coastal flooding then do all the

:25:49. > :25:52.flood plain number. Of course BBC local radio will keep you updated to

:25:53. > :25:55.the evening as well. Weather-wise we have someone three showers come in

:25:56. > :26:01.across parts of the North and into north-east suffered as well. Dry and

:26:02. > :26:04.clear weather but very cold, 12I sweated snow flurries getting into

:26:05. > :26:09.Northamptonshire literature make with temperatures why the below

:26:10. > :26:12.freezing, -1 -2 but it could get locally under -3 -4 and given the

:26:13. > :26:16.fact we have had some snow which is -- which is partially melted, that

:26:17. > :26:22.brings the risk of ice and the Met office has issued a -- a warning for

:26:23. > :26:25.that. He cold and icy starting Saturday, any isolated showers

:26:26. > :26:29.tending to fade away and for many a lot of dry weather so good the

:26:30. > :26:34.sunshine and you can see what continuous sleet and snow showers so

:26:35. > :26:39.there could be a couple of centimetres here but for many it is

:26:40. > :26:43.dry and cold. 3-5 but add in the wind, not as strong as the day but

:26:44. > :26:48.it will fill quite cold a few exposed to the wind. We continue to

:26:49. > :26:51.see sleet and snow showers but into Sunday the weather front comes in

:26:52. > :26:55.off the Atlantic, slightly milder air trying to come in that it could

:26:56. > :27:00.take all day before that gets to the eastern side of the region. Cloudy

:27:01. > :27:05.with a of rain, sleet, it will be a cold feeling they and rather misty

:27:06. > :27:08.and murky. Temperatures for our five in the east and maybe getting up at

:27:09. > :27:13.a dizzying heights of six or seven in the West. While there does not

:27:14. > :27:16.hang around for a long so for money into the dehydration is building in

:27:17. > :27:19.but a lot of dry weather with sunshine by day and the chilly feel

:27:20. > :27:25.and overnight we continue to see the risk of pretty widespread frost.

:27:26. > :27:28.Thank you. And if you live on because they want to stay in touch

:27:29. > :27:31.with those flood warnings then radio Norfolk and Suffolk are both staying

:27:32. > :27:36.on the air until the danger has passed. That's all from us. We have

:27:37. > :27:40.more tonight. Goodbye. Do they say.
