:00:11. > :00:13.Good evening and a special welcome to viewers in East Yorkshire and

:00:13. > :00:17.Lincolnshire who are joining us because of technical problems with

:00:17. > :00:20.Look North in Hull. Our main story tonight - South Yorkshire police

:00:20. > :00:24.are appealing for witnesses to two separate attacks on New Year's Day

:00:24. > :00:28.which left one man dead and another critically ill. A murder

:00:28. > :00:31.investigation is underway a father of two was stabbed to death on the

:00:31. > :00:35.dancefloor of a Sheffield club. And a 35-year-old man is critically ill

:00:35. > :00:43.after being attacked outside a pub in Bawtry. Olivia Richwald has the

:00:43. > :00:47.details. Joshua Green was a 27-year-old

:00:47. > :00:51.father of the two. He was stabbed on the dance floor of this venue in

:00:51. > :00:56.Sheffield and died at the scene a few arrows into the new year. A

:00:56. > :01:00.second man and woman were also injured. It was a busy New Year's

:01:00. > :01:06.event there were 400 guests at a party. The police are trying to

:01:06. > :01:12.trace every single one. They are looking through CCTV footage while

:01:12. > :01:16.investigations continue. Meanwhile, at 35-year-old man remained in

:01:16. > :01:20.critical condition tonight. He sustained a severe head injury

:01:20. > :01:25.after what was an unprovoked attack near a pub in Bawtry in the early

:01:25. > :01:32.hours of the Year's Day. The man that attacks and fled the scene.

:01:32. > :01:37.was described as of white man, 5 ft 8 inches tall, early 30s, a stocky

:01:37. > :01:41.build with short, blond hair. I would ask that present to come

:01:41. > :01:44.forward and I would ask that person to think about the actions of what

:01:44. > :01:48.happened that night and to come forward and assist in the inquiries.

:01:48. > :01:52.Tonight, the family released a statement describing him as an

:01:52. > :01:55.ordinary, honest and hard-working family man that was attacked for no

:01:55. > :01:57.reason. There's been criticism of the

:01:57. > :02:01.decision to sharply increase rail fares across Yorkshire and

:02:01. > :02:05.Lincolnshire. Operators say the money will pay for more trains and

:02:05. > :02:08.better stations. Some fares in West Yorkshire are rising by more than

:02:08. > :02:12.eight percent. It means a season ticket from Leeds to Wakefield will

:02:12. > :02:20.increase from 840 to 908. Passengers in East Yorkshire will

:02:20. > :02:26.see journeys on TransPennine cost 5% more and Hull Trains go up 4.5%.

:02:26. > :02:30.Passenger groups say the rise is disappointing. They are pricing

:02:30. > :02:34.people out of the trains and back onto the roads again and there is

:02:34. > :02:37.enough congestion anyway. Government is trying to get people

:02:37. > :02:39.and have their cars and onto public transport and I think they should

:02:39. > :02:42.keep the prices down to encourage people.

:02:42. > :02:44.It's been a busy afternoon of football lets start in the

:02:44. > :02:47.championship with the South Yorkshire derby. Doncaster beat

:02:47. > :02:50.Barnsley 2-0. James Hayter gave them the early lead, Kyle Bennett

:02:50. > :02:54.with a late second goal. Leeds were up against ten men for much of the

:02:54. > :02:58.game at home to Burnley but had to come from behind to win 2-1 - Ross

:02:58. > :03:02.McCormack with a late, late winner. And a goal early in the second half

:03:02. > :03:05.was enough for Derby to beat Hull. It was a bit of a goal fest up at

:03:05. > :03:08.Carlisle, Sheffield United losing it three two - Ched Evans with the

:03:08. > :03:11.two Blades goals. Chesterfield drew 1-1 with Oldham - Jordan Bowery

:03:11. > :03:15.with their goal. Huddersfield Town went 2-0 up at Notts County through

:03:15. > :03:18.Gary Roberts and Jordan Rhodes, but County pegged them back to draw 2-2.

:03:18. > :03:22.Sheffield Wednesday go up to second after beating Tranmere 2-1 - Reda

:03:22. > :03:27.Johnson and Chris Lines the scorers. And Scunthorpe won 2-1 at

:03:27. > :03:30.Hartlepool. And in the Yorkshire derby in

:03:30. > :03:37.league two it finished Rotherham 3 Bradford 0 - Lewis Grabban with two

:03:37. > :03:47.goals, Brett Williams with the third.

:03:47. > :03:53.

:03:53. > :03:57.And early warning, gale-force winds on the way later. A lot of rain as

:03:57. > :04:03.well. In the short term, a few wintry showers. This is the chart

:04:03. > :04:07.for tomorrow morning, and Atlantic depression coming through. At a few

:04:07. > :04:12.wintry showers in the Dales and further east, a lot of dry weather

:04:12. > :04:16.and it turns wet and windy from the south-west. Gales by the end of the

:04:16. > :04:20.night and temperatures in the short term down to one or two degrees

:04:20. > :04:25.Celsius. That's 36 degrees Fahrenheit. A dreadful commute in

:04:25. > :04:29.the morning, a lot of surface spray and heavy rain and cold front which

:04:29. > :04:33.would be pretty active. It clears the way to the South East during

:04:33. > :04:39.the morning. The afternoon, brighter with sunshine and

:04:39. > :04:46.scattered showers. The wind will be the main feature of the weather,

:04:46. > :04:52.50-60 mph gusts. Temperatures, not bad in the morning, a mild night,

:04:52. > :04:55.9-ten degrees. Wednesday, a bright start with rain later. That is your
