:00:00. > :00:10.Much more throughout the evening on the BBC News channel. We are back

:00:11. > :00:17.Good evening from Look North. Two men have been charged with the

:00:18. > :00:20.murder of a man in Gainsborough. 24`year`old Ivans Zdanovics, who was

:00:21. > :00:24.originally from Latvia, was found dead at his home in Etherington

:00:25. > :00:27.Street after a fire last month. The men, aged 25 and 29, have also been

:00:28. > :00:31.charged with perverting the course of justice. A 28`year`old woman also

:00:32. > :00:34.faces a perverting the course of justice charge.

:00:35. > :00:38.Plans to create a visitor attraction at the Humber Bridge are being

:00:39. > :00:41.delayed because of a row over a patch of disused land. The bridge

:00:42. > :00:44.owners need to sell the land to raise money needed to build the

:00:45. > :00:47.Humber Bridge Experience visitor centre. But some residents in Hessle

:00:48. > :00:50.say protecting green spaces has to come first. Anne`Marie Tasker

:00:51. > :00:55.reports. It's already a tourist attraction in

:00:56. > :00:59.its own right. But the owners of the Humber Bridge want to create a state

:01:00. > :01:05.of the art visitor centre to draw in even bigger crowds. But this is

:01:06. > :01:09.standing in the way. The Bridge Board needs to sell this former golf

:01:10. > :01:13.course in Hessle to raise the money needed for the project. But this

:01:14. > :01:17.land is used by the community. And at least 100 residents want it

:01:18. > :01:22.protected as a village green, so it can never be built on. I can see the

:01:23. > :01:26.possible advantage of the Humber Bridge Experience. But if we are

:01:27. > :01:33.talking about local people, local people don't require very much. They

:01:34. > :01:38.just need space. That might be a difficult one to give them. But

:01:39. > :01:41.that's all they require. Planning permission's already been granted

:01:42. > :01:45.for the land to be turned into a business park. A development already

:01:46. > :01:49.underway on the other half of the site. It's predicted that will

:01:50. > :01:54.create 3000 jobs, as well as give the Humber Bridge the chance to draw

:01:55. > :01:57.in more tourists. As a representative of the whole

:01:58. > :02:03.community, I have to think of everybody. And for the 100 or so

:02:04. > :02:07.people who use it, for me, the potential of 3000 jobs for our young

:02:08. > :02:11.people, good jobs, it is more important. And the development of

:02:12. > :02:16.the Humber Bridge Experience too. I mean, that's going to be a lasting

:02:17. > :02:19.legacy for all of us. Campaigners say there's already unused

:02:20. > :02:23.industrial sites in Hessle. And that pristine green land like this could

:02:24. > :02:26.never be replaced. Both East Riding Council and the Humber Bridge Board

:02:27. > :02:29.say they won't comment until an independent planning inspector gives

:02:30. > :02:33.their opinion. This month, the planning inspector

:02:34. > :02:38.will decide what the future of this patch of land should be. But it

:02:39. > :02:48.won't be until April that East Riding Council votes on whether it

:02:49. > :02:51.should be developed or protected. Humberside Fire and Rescue officers

:02:52. > :02:54.are visiting every property on the East Marsh estate in Grimsby to do

:02:55. > :02:58.safety checks. In just nine months, crews have been called to 46 fires

:02:59. > :03:01.in the area. The Fire Service wants to reduce the number of incidents by

:03:02. > :03:09.helping householders identify potential risks. There are two main

:03:10. > :03:14.issues coming out responsible for the fires, relating to cooking

:03:15. > :03:18.incidents and smoking in the home. They are the two main causes we are

:03:19. > :03:22.looking at and we are looking at talking to people in their home

:03:23. > :03:24.about their behaviour around these issues and see if we can educate

:03:25. > :03:30.people and make them safer. Football now, and Steve Bruce

:03:31. > :03:34.returned to Sunderland today for the first time since being sacked by the

:03:35. > :03:38.club. The home team had a man sent off early in the first half. Hull

:03:39. > :03:41.City capitalised on their advantage. Goals from new signings Shane Long

:03:42. > :03:44.and Nikicia Jelavic made the score 2`0 and gave the Tigers their first

:03:45. > :03:47.league win of the year. In League Two, Scunthorpe United

:03:48. > :03:51.took the lead through Sam Winnall against Chesterfield. But the away

:03:52. > :03:54.side equalised on the stroke of half time. Neither side could break the

:03:55. > :03:57.deadlock in the second half. In the Conference, Grimsby Town were

:03:58. > :04:02.held to a goal`less draw by Southport. It was a different story

:04:03. > :04:06.for Lincoln City. They scored in the last minute to beat Hyde. The lead

:04:07. > :04:08.swapped hands three times before Tom Miller's winner.

:04:09. > :04:12.In athletics, Hull sprinter Annabelle Lewis has just missed out

:04:13. > :04:17.on a medal at the British Indoor championships in Sheffield. Lewis

:04:18. > :04:20.ran her season's best time in the semifinal of the 60 metres before

:04:21. > :04:26.coming fifth in the final. Grimsby's Richard Buck has qualified for the

:04:27. > :04:30.final of the 400 metres, coming second in his semifinal. Let's get

:04:31. > :04:34.the weather with Kay Crewdson. Hello there, good evening. Very

:04:35. > :04:38.windy through this evening. And we are looking at showers blowing over

:04:39. > :04:41.from the West. With us on and off as we head overnight tonight. Some

:04:42. > :04:44.clearer skies. But where we have those showers, they could be on the

:04:45. > :04:47.heavy side. Temperatures remain frost free and around about four or

:04:48. > :04:50.five degrees. The breeze really quite moderate to fresh from the

:04:51. > :04:54.south`west. As we head through tomorrow, it's a breezy start to the

:04:55. > :04:57.day. Showers from the word go. Some of those are likely to be heavy.

:04:58. > :05:00.Stays windy throughout the day tomorrow. The best of the sunny

:05:01. > :05:02.spells through the afternoon. Highs of eight degrees.

:05:03. > :05:04.That is it, we are back tomorrow evening, enjoy the rest of the

:05:05. > :05:17.weekend, goodbye. Good evening. Unfortunately I don't

:05:18. > :05:20.have much good news in this forecast. There may be a brief

:05:21. > :05:24.respite later tomorrow with the wind and the rain but it will not be long

:05:25. > :05:26.enough and we have today's storm withers, pounding
