:00:00. > :00:00.on the BBC News channel, with all the very latest on the dramatic

:00:00. > :00:17.day's events in Ukraine. Good evening. Lincolnshire police

:00:18. > :00:19.say a march by members of the English Defence League against a

:00:20. > :00:25.proposed Islamic Centre in Grantham was peaceful. 250 officers escorted

:00:26. > :00:29.a similar number of protesters through the town. A senior officer

:00:30. > :00:32.would not reveal the cost of policing the event.

:00:33. > :00:35.Described as an anti`Islam protest by its organisers, demonstrators

:00:36. > :00:42.were bussed in from across the country. Some here made it clear

:00:43. > :00:46.they weren't welcome. Take your prejudice away, we don't want it.

:00:47. > :00:51.Escorted by police, the English Defence League marched through

:00:52. > :00:54.Grantham town centre. We get a big centre, within two years that town,

:00:55. > :00:59.that area is dominated Muslim and forcing all the Christians out, all

:01:00. > :01:05.the Catholics out. We have no problem with the Muslim community.

:01:06. > :01:08.What we have a problem with is extremism. The fact that the people

:01:09. > :01:11.of Grantham are not being given a choice over what gets built in their

:01:12. > :01:15.town is absolutely idisgusting. It is those plans for an Islamic

:01:16. > :01:19.community centre here that prompted the march.

:01:20. > :01:25.But celebrating multiculturalism, there was also a small

:01:26. > :01:29.counterdemonstration. I do not think it was a particularly big issue.

:01:30. > :01:33.They are preaching to this group. Freedom of religion should be for

:01:34. > :01:37.everybody. The days when we used to burn people at the stake for having

:01:38. > :01:41.the wrong religion are over and we want to keep it that way. Separating

:01:42. > :01:44.the two protests a wall of police, 250 officers brought in from five

:01:45. > :01:48.police forces across the East Midlands. This is the fourth far

:01:49. > :01:54.right wing protest in the county in the last six months. It is a real

:01:55. > :01:58.challenge for us. We are able to organise it sometime in advance

:01:59. > :02:01.which helps reduce the cost but, as you have seen, we have a significant

:02:02. > :02:05.number of officers here and that will have an impact on other places.

:02:06. > :02:09.There were a few minor scuffles. It was a noisy but peaceful

:02:10. > :02:12.demonstration. The planning application for the community centre

:02:13. > :02:14.goes before the council next month and, if granted, the EDL says it

:02:15. > :02:28.will protest here again. Lincolnshire County Council has

:02:29. > :02:33.confirmed it will freeze council tax for the fourth year. The authority

:02:34. > :02:38.joins novel into and East Riding Council which are also Conservative

:02:39. > :02:43.run. In keeping 2014 bills the same as last year.

:02:44. > :02:50.Hull City have bounced back with a massive away win at Cardiff. The

:02:51. > :02:57.score was 4`nil. It was Steve Bruce's 100th win. Recent signing

:02:58. > :03:02.scored two. Hull City move up to 11th in the league. Scunthorpe

:03:03. > :03:06.United continue their run at the top of league two. They beat

:03:07. > :03:12.Portsmouth, 5`1 making them joint league leaders.

:03:13. > :03:21.Lincoln drew 1`1 to Chester and Grimsby are out of the FA Trophy and

:03:22. > :03:28.will not be going to Wembley. Cambridge were overall winners in

:03:29. > :03:33.the two legs. Luke Campbell will fight in front of a sell`out crowd

:03:34. > :03:39.tonight at the whole arena. He is looking for his fifth straight win

:03:40. > :03:45.as a professional boxer. Standing in his way is a Norfolk man.

:03:46. > :03:47.Preparations went brilliant. They couldn't have gone any better,

:03:48. > :03:52.really. We've had some great sparring. All is great. I'm in great

:03:53. > :03:56.shape and ready to put on a good show for the fans. You can't put a

:03:57. > :04:00.price on the support you get from the fans. I just hope I can keep

:04:01. > :04:04.performing and they keep coming back and watching and supporting. We will

:04:05. > :04:10.have a report from the fight on tomorrow's Look North at 620 PM. For

:04:11. > :04:14.now let us get the weather forecast with Jennifer Bartram. Hello there,

:04:15. > :04:18.good evening. For many of us it was a lovely, dry, spring`like day. But

:04:19. > :04:21.as we get into tomorrow we are going to start to see the winds

:04:22. > :04:25.increasing, gale force winds at times. That cloud is going to build

:04:26. > :04:29.from the west as we go through the night. This evening we could see

:04:30. > :04:31.some spots of rain, particularly in northern and western parts. Most

:04:32. > :04:35.areas should remain dry and fairly cloudy overnight. That wind picking

:04:36. > :04:39.up to gale force as we go through the night. The temperatures dropping

:04:40. > :04:44.back to around seven degrees Celsius will feel fairly mild. For Sunday

:04:45. > :04:48.morning we start off on a fairly cloudy note. As we go through the

:04:49. > :04:52.day we are going to feel that wind speed pick up to gale force or

:04:53. > :04:57.severe gale force winds. Gusts of 35 to 40 mph. A very windy day to come

:04:58. > :05:05.but it is going to be feeling mild, highs of 12 Celsius. Look North is

:05:06. > :05:14.back tomorrow, enjoy the rest of your weekend. Goodbye.

:05:15. > :05:23.Hello. For some places today I am sure it felt that spring is just

:05:24. > :05:27.around the corner. However, looming large, coming in from the Atlantic,

:05:28. > :05:31.this broad belt of cloud and this will bring rain to western hills

:05:32. > :05:34.with rain overnight moving into Scotland, Northern Ireland, trying

:05:35. > :05:39.to push into England and Wales but many eastern areas will be dry. The

:05:40. > :05:43.winds will be picking up, 60 miles an hour or so around the Irish Sea

:05:44. > :05:48.coast but with the wind, cloud and rain it should be mild everywhere,

:05:49. > :05:52.typically six or seven Celsius. Tomorrow, some windy weather,

:05:53. > :05:54.especially in the morning around the Irish Sea coasts. A lot more rain

:05:55. > :05:56.for the western areas, heavy
