:00:00. > :00:14.on the BBC News Channel, we are back with the late news 10:10. Now on BBC

:00:15. > :00:19.Good evening. A pedestrian has died after being hit by a car in

:00:20. > :00:22.Lincolnshire. The man thought to be the 50s was walking along near

:00:23. > :00:26.Spilsbury just after midnight. The road was closed for more than six

:00:27. > :00:33.hours while investigations were carried out. Police are appealing

:00:34. > :00:36.for witnesses. Husky owners in Hull say they are concerned they will be

:00:37. > :00:40.a rise in the number of dogs being abandoned because their owners are

:00:41. > :00:43.being threatened. The group says there's been a growing number of

:00:44. > :00:47.cases of abuse from local residents when they walk their pets. They say

:00:48. > :00:55.recent publicity over dangerous dogs has given many an irrational fear of

:00:56. > :00:59.the breed. Here, Husky owners meet every weekend so they and their pets

:01:00. > :01:04.can socialise. Originally bred to pulse length through the Arctic, the

:01:05. > :01:07.dogs are energetic and need lots of exercise. But some owners say their

:01:08. > :01:13.dogs have been attracting unwelcome attention due to the belief that the

:01:14. > :01:18.breed poses a threat. Since the recent news coverage, it's been very

:01:19. > :01:21.negative towards the breed. When we walk our dogs, people cross the

:01:22. > :01:28.road, we've had them scream at us, dragging children away, but our dogs

:01:29. > :01:35.are very friendly but people don't want anything to do with Emma.

:01:36. > :01:40.Owners say in recent weeks they've seen an increase in negative

:01:41. > :01:43.responses and they are worried more dogs will be abandoned or given up

:01:44. > :01:49.to rescue. In the local park, some say they do have worries. I wouldn't

:01:50. > :01:55.like one running up to my lad. Obviously, they should only be out

:01:56. > :01:59.if they are friendly. As long as the owners got them on the lead, and

:02:00. > :02:04.they don't let them off the lead to run wild, I would be a bit worried.

:02:05. > :02:11.But that would be any dog, it doesn't matter that it's an Husky.

:02:12. > :02:15.This woman says her skis are not inherently dangerous. Any dog has

:02:16. > :02:19.the potential to cause problems if it's not raised correctly, not bred

:02:20. > :02:22.correctly. But I can see any reason why huskies would be any more of a

:02:23. > :02:27.danger to society than any other breed of dog. Husky owners say they

:02:28. > :02:31.hope, by speaking out, they will reassure the public and helped

:02:32. > :02:36.dispel the negative issue they feel their pets don't deserve. The Humber

:02:37. > :02:41.coastguard is warning of the risks of an area of marshland on the south

:02:42. > :02:45.bank after it was called out to help around 40 people who were partying

:02:46. > :02:48.on the site last ngiht. The Humberside Fitties near Cleethorpes

:02:49. > :02:52.is an area of mud sand and marshland. The coastguard says the

:02:53. > :02:59.group was in potential danger from the high tide. Parents and teachers

:03:00. > :03:02.in Lincolnshire are being told to be vigilant for signs of scarlet fever

:03:03. > :03:06.in children. Public health officials say there's been an increase in

:03:07. > :03:09.cases of the disease in the East Midlands. It causes a pink red rash

:03:10. > :03:15.but is uncommon these days and usually mild. The organisers of

:03:16. > :03:20.England Macros oldest horse race aid donors have helped save the event

:03:21. > :03:25.which is become too expensive. It's one every year over the Yorkshire

:03:26. > :03:27.Wells but growing crowds forced the organisers to introduce wide`ranging

:03:28. > :03:31.health and safety measures, increasing the cost of running the

:03:32. > :03:39.race. It's hoped it can remain free to watch. Newcastle manager Alan

:03:40. > :03:42.Pardew has apologised after head`butting David Myler at the KC

:03:43. > :03:47.Stadium today. He was sent off for the clash after attempting to

:03:48. > :03:50.retrieve the ball to take a throw in the fourth of the match ended in aid

:03:51. > :03:56.of appointing 4`1 defeat for whole city. An equaliser denied Scunthorpe

:03:57. > :04:00.the chance to go probably too. They came away with a 2`2 draw at

:04:01. > :04:01.Newport. In the conference, there were victories for Lincoln city and

:04:02. > :04:16.Grimsby town. Let's get the weather. Hello again. It's going to be a cold

:04:17. > :04:19.night on the cards. Clear spells initially meaning the temperatures

:04:20. > :04:23.will fall away sharply during the first part of the night. Through the

:04:24. > :04:27.night, the cloud will increase from the West and that's going to bring

:04:28. > :04:31.some rain. On the higher ground, could fall as hill snow. The

:04:32. > :04:35.temperatures will turn to around three Celsius. Ice could be a

:04:36. > :04:42.problem first thing on Sunday morning. It is going to be a fairly

:04:43. > :04:45.cloudy start to the day. As we go into the afternoon, a band of rain

:04:46. > :04:49.moving in and turning things wet. You will be able to see more on the

:04:50. > :04:53.head but we had been telling you about on Match Of The Day to night

:04:54. > :04:57.as well as all the action from the Premier League.

:04:58. > :05:02.That's all from us. We are back tomorrow. Do enjoy the rest of your

:05:03. > :05:18.weekend. Good night. Hello. For some of us, it was quite

:05:19. > :05:22.a decent state, some sunshine around, but not the case right now

:05:23. > :05:27.in Northern Ireland and parts of Scotland, chilly with some rain as

:05:28. > :05:31.well, you will have to warm yourself up a bit this evening. Rain on the

:05:32. > :05:35.way for tomorrow, this is the cloud streaming out of the Atlantic, this

:05:36. > :05:40.will be in place over our neighbourhood for most of tomorrow,

:05:41. > :05:43.you will need the umbrella. Here and now first of all, this cloud is

:05:44. > :05:47.bringing wet weather into Northern Ireland and western parts of

:05:48. > :05:50.Scotland, quite a chilly night, cold enough for hill snow across parts of

:05:51. > :05:55.Scotland. To the south of that, mainly rain and drizzle. In the

:05:56. > :06:02.early hours of Sunday, if you are on the roads in Northern Ireland, take

:06:03. > :06:03.it steady, they could be ice, parts of Scotland too. Not
