:00:00. > :00:09.Six. ?45 Good evening and welcomd to BBC

:00:10. > :00:11.Look North. The headlines tonight: A

:00:12. > :00:14.nine`year`old boy is critic`lly injured after falling from ` coach

:00:15. > :00:18.on the way back from a rugbx tournament.

:00:19. > :00:23.The parents and the coaches that were there... They were dev`stated

:00:24. > :00:33.when they came back last night. Also on the programme tonight: Joy

:00:34. > :00:37.for the Tigers as they win following one of the best games in Welbley

:00:38. > :00:40.history. Celebration for Hull City f`ns as

:00:41. > :00:45.thousands prepare for a rettrn trip to Wembley for the final.

:00:46. > :00:49.Absolutely delighted... I c`n't wait for the final. We'll be back in a

:00:50. > :00:53.few weeks' time, and hopefully beat Arsenal.

:00:54. > :01:14.It has been absolutely wonddrful to be sharing it, and to share in the

:01:15. > :01:17.atmosphere. Absolutely fant`stic. A nine`year`boy from Stamford in

:01:18. > :01:21.Lincolnshire is still in a critical condition in hospital tonight after

:01:22. > :01:24.falling from a moving coach. The boy had been playing in a rugby

:01:25. > :01:27.tournament in North Norfolk and was on his way home when the accident

:01:28. > :01:29.happened yesterday afternoon. An investigation is underway into

:01:30. > :01:37.exactly what happened but it's believed he fell through a door on

:01:38. > :01:41.the coach. Simon Spark reports. This was the double`decker coach

:01:42. > :01:46.that a nine`year`old boy fell from while it was moving. The co`ch was

:01:47. > :01:50.taking children back to Stalford after they had played in a rugby

:01:51. > :01:56.turn it in North Norfolk. It happened on the A47 near King 's

:01:57. > :02:01.Lynn. It is said the boy fell from a main door located near the rear of

:02:02. > :02:08.the vehicle, suffering injuries to his legs and his head. He is in a

:02:09. > :02:12.critical condition. Very tr`umatic for all those on board. Everyone

:02:13. > :02:18.involved would have been shocked. The officers intending dash`mac

:02:19. > :02:23.attending would have felt the same. This is where they were travelling

:02:24. > :02:28.back to. There were 20 children and ten adults. No one else was adults.

:02:29. > :02:30.Today, the chairman of the rugby club told us they were all deeply

:02:31. > :02:37.shocked dash`mac happened.

:02:38. > :02:45.The parents and the coaches that were there... They were dev`stated

:02:46. > :02:50.when they came back last night. When we send teams out to play in matches

:02:51. > :02:55.or tournaments like this, wd expect them to have a good time and come

:02:56. > :03:03.home safely. On this occasion, but did not happen. The boy has been

:03:04. > :03:06.moved to a specialist unit. His parents are being supported by

:03:07. > :03:18.specially trained officers. The coach is still being Simon hs live

:03:19. > :03:21.in Stamford for us tonight, Simon what can you tell us about the young

:03:22. > :03:26.boy's condition now? Examined by police. His condition

:03:27. > :03:32.remains critical. His hospital is renowned. It is one of the only in

:03:33. > :03:36.the country which has a major trauma centre. The feeling here is one of

:03:37. > :03:42.shock and disbelief as to how this could have happened. The cltb says

:03:43. > :03:47.the will have to see what fdels appropriate before deciding what to

:03:48. > :03:53.do next. Meanwhile, the polhce will continue to examine the coach. It is

:03:54. > :03:58.in a secure compound. The focus will be that door. The information they

:03:59. > :04:02.have released today has foctsed on the fact that, just before the

:04:03. > :04:07.incident, there were a numbdr of people queueing for the toilet.

:04:08. > :04:13.Then, somehow that door has opened. And the boy has fallen from it. We

:04:14. > :04:22.will let you know what happdns with that story.

:04:23. > :04:25.In a moment: A village wherd two schoolgirls were seriously hnjured

:04:26. > :04:32.gets a pedestrian crossing following a local campaign.

:04:33. > :04:36.Hull City will get 25,000 thckets when they take up their place in the

:04:37. > :04:39.club's first ever FA Cup final. After a hundred and ten years of

:04:40. > :04:43.history the Tigers are finally looking forward to playing hn one of

:04:44. > :04:46.the most famous football matches in the world. The team will take on

:04:47. > :04:49.Arsenal at Wembley next month after coming from behind twice to beat

:04:50. > :04:52.Sheffield United. Sarah Corker reports on how history was lade

:04:53. > :04:55.Jubilant fans singing and d`ncing along a sunny Wembley way.

:04:56. > :05:02.Hull the favourites against lower league opposition. And that pressure

:05:03. > :05:05.showed. A high`tempo Sheffidld going one up. Hull eventually wokd up

:05:06. > :05:13.levelling with Yannick Sagbo's strike. But the Blades were soon

:05:14. > :05:17.back in front 2`1. A rousing half`time team talk cued a Tigers

:05:18. > :05:22.fight back. Substitute Mattx Fryatt quickly making it 2`2. Then some

:05:23. > :05:27.fancy footwork from Tom Huddlestone made it 3`2. And Steve Brucd

:05:28. > :05:33.celebrating with some of his own moves.

:05:34. > :05:36.Then a fourth with Stephen Puinn scoring against his own club. But

:05:37. > :05:43.the Blades weren't finished, pulling one back late on 4`3.

:05:44. > :06:02.David Meyler kept his cool, sealing a memorable win. We deserved it We

:06:03. > :06:08.have had some good results. This could turn out to be a tremdndous

:06:09. > :06:15.year, if we finish it strongly. It was a very interesting one. It was

:06:16. > :06:26.an exciting game. He fans, both sets, word great today.

:06:27. > :06:29.Fans now daring to dream of cup glory and European football.

:06:30. > :06:31.Tickets for next month's final will cost between ?45` ?115. It'll be a

:06:32. > :06:43.5pm kick off. The victors pocketing ?1.8m, the

:06:44. > :06:46.losers ?900,000. Hull City fans have been tr`velling

:06:47. > :06:48.home after witnessing the dramatic turnaround at Wembley. Hundreds of

:06:49. > :07:07.people boarded early morning coaches around the city for the journey to

:07:08. > :07:10.the Capital. Earlier I spoke to Dean Windass who

:07:11. > :07:16.scored the winning goal for Hull City in 2008 play off`final.

:07:17. > :07:19.Tonight was a great atmosphdre, a great spectacle for the supporters

:07:20. > :07:25.and Sheffield United had a right good go. They went 1`0 up in front,

:07:26. > :07:28.which we didn't expect. We got the equalising goal, Steve changed the

:07:29. > :07:32.system and we went 2`1 down but we got the equalising goal and in the

:07:33. > :07:45.second half, Steve made the two substitutions which changed the

:07:46. > :07:49.game. Was it just nervous? H thought the nerves got to the Sheffheld

:07:50. > :07:51.United players more than thd Hull City players, being the Prelier

:07:52. > :07:55.League team but Sheffield United came out with all guns blazhng on

:07:56. > :07:58.the front foot. Steve recognised that we were getting overrun, and

:07:59. > :08:00.changed the system, which b`sically worked. The two substitutions, with

:08:01. > :08:06.Fryatt coming on and Aluko totally change the game. Tom Huddlestone was

:08:07. > :08:14.probably the best player on the park, and what a fantastic goal he

:08:15. > :08:18.scored. I never thought we would ever go back to Wembley, never mind

:08:19. > :08:22.go to an FA Cup final. It is fantastic for the city and great for

:08:23. > :08:25.the supporters. As you say, we are the underdogs against Arsen`l. We

:08:26. > :08:43.have got a league game against Arsenal coming up, so we will see

:08:44. > :08:48.where we can go. What is yotr advice for the team? I think you go there,

:08:49. > :09:00.you do your best, everybody expects Arsenal to win but we've got a great

:09:01. > :09:03.chance. Hull City fans have been tr`velling

:09:04. > :09:06.home after witnessing the dramatic turnaround at Wembley. Hundreds of

:09:07. > :09:09.people boarded early morning coaches around the city for the journey to

:09:10. > :09:18.the Capital. Phillip Norton was at the famous stadium on a day fans

:09:19. > :09:22.will long remember. Hours before kick`off, and `lready

:09:23. > :09:28.the black and amber army were in fine voice.

:09:29. > :09:31.Popular Tribfest director Eddie Faulkner got the party started with

:09:32. > :09:37.hull`themed classics in the shadow of the Wembley arch. Outsidd, the

:09:38. > :09:54.sun was shining and tiger f`ces were smiling. I came away from the United

:09:55. > :10:03.States. Excited. Looking forward to the game. I am just so excited. I am

:10:04. > :10:09.happy. I have been a Hull Chty fun all my life. You have to be there.

:10:10. > :10:13.On Wembley Way, fans of all ages and all corners of the globe made their

:10:14. > :10:17.way into the home of football, hoping to be part of historx Among

:10:18. > :10:20.them, Sherard Pearson. He was there the last time Hull City

:10:21. > :10:35.reached the semi`finals in 0930 At 92`years`old, his ticket was a gift

:10:36. > :10:42.from manager Steve Bruce. I took a call and we won. Dash`mac I took a

:10:43. > :10:44.goal and we won. And then there was 60`year`old

:10:45. > :10:47.Barrie Kitching, who'd just completed the London Marathon 2 ,000

:10:48. > :10:51.City fans endured a host of emotions during the 90 minutes beford the

:10:52. > :10:54.final whistle blew and a pl`ce in one of the world's most famous

:10:55. > :10:57.sporting events was confirmdd. There is a bit of pressure there,

:10:58. > :11:01.because you want to try and get back for the game. Normally, you just

:11:02. > :11:15.take what you get. As it is, it looks like I will see the khck`off.

:11:16. > :11:18.New line 27,000 City fans endured a host of emotions during the 90

:11:19. > :11:21.minutes before the final whhstle blew and a place in one of the

:11:22. > :11:24.world's most famous sporting events was confirmed.

:11:25. > :11:27.Today, the events of the past 2 hours are still sinking in for fans

:11:28. > :11:29.who've made their way back north. Brilliant, absolutely fantastic

:11:30. > :11:37.Brilliant, it has been a brhlliant day. Very good. With fans home, it

:11:38. > :11:45.is time to start planning the return. Memories made for a

:11:46. > :11:59.lifetime, and no doubt plenty more in just a few weeks' time. Thank you

:12:00. > :12:07.for all your pictures. We whll have more of them when we finish.

:12:08. > :12:10.The National Farmers Union says more than two`thirds of farmers `re

:12:11. > :12:12.having to clean up other people s waste.

:12:13. > :12:15.They say fly`tipping in the countryside is an increasing problem

:12:16. > :12:17.with landowners left to pay the clean`up bill. Items that are

:12:18. > :12:20.routinely dumped include old fridges, chairs, mattresses and

:12:21. > :12:24.tyres. One farmer in Scunthorpe says a pig was even dumped on his land.

:12:25. > :12:28.People reported it thinking it was one of our pigs that had got out,

:12:29. > :12:33.but it wasn't, it was this flytipped pig, a little micropig. Norlally we

:12:34. > :12:42.don't take on extra pigs, btt this one we retained, and it's ttrned out

:12:43. > :12:44.to be very popular indeed. Five dogs, including a Crufts

:12:45. > :12:48.champion worth several thousand pounds, have been been found after

:12:49. > :12:51.being stolen during a robbery in East Yorkshire. The five dogs were

:12:52. > :12:54.taken from a house in Lissett, near Driffied last Thursday, but they've

:12:55. > :12:56.now been found in Warrington in Cheshire.

:12:57. > :13:00.Almost 500 families in East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire who've

:13:01. > :13:03.been unable to return to thdir homes after the winter floods will be

:13:04. > :13:05.given a council tax exemption. The Government's discount schemd,

:13:06. > :13:17.originally planned to last three months, is being extended t`king the

:13:18. > :13:21.cost from ?4 to ?6 million. There are still 200 families out of their

:13:22. > :13:24.homes in Lincolnshire. And 86 in East Yorkshire.

:13:25. > :13:27.The RAF has denied newspaper reports that new surveillance planes based

:13:28. > :13:31.near Lincoln have been grounded over safety fears. Rivet Joint arrived at

:13:32. > :13:43.RAF Waddington last November. The MOD says they'll be operational by

:13:44. > :13:46.the end of the year. There are fears that the closure of

:13:47. > :13:49.Kellingley Colliery in Yorkshire could be imminent after mindrs voted

:13:50. > :13:53.to reject a Government plan for a managed shutdown over the ndxt 8

:13:54. > :13:56.months. They want more talks with the owners, UK Coal, and thhs

:13:57. > :13:59.afternoon miners have told the BBC they're being pressured into saying

:14:00. > :14:05.they will carry on working with the threat of redundancy hanging over

:14:06. > :14:14.them. Still ahead tonight: We'll have some

:14:15. > :14:29.the images that summed up a great day for Hull City fans at Wdmbley.

:14:30. > :14:35.Keep your photos coming in. If you have when you are proud of `nd you

:14:36. > :14:44.think we can show then send us. Martyn Leaning took this of

:14:45. > :14:48.Hibaldstow Bridge. That is ` stunning picture that excitdd the

:14:49. > :14:53.director and that takes somd doing. Thank you for that. Another picture

:14:54. > :14:58.tomorrow night at the same time Do not tell me he is on holhday for

:14:59. > :15:03.a week! I cannot believe it. Yes, as a special treat he hs on

:15:04. > :15:07.holiday for week. I cannot believe it.

:15:08. > :15:14.What about our treat? Are you going to take us to London?

:15:15. > :15:18.I have gone red! Peter, you will certainly get a town this wdek

:15:19. > :15:23.because we have sunshine on the cards. High pressure dominates which

:15:24. > :15:28.means find and settled weather but it also means chilly night. There

:15:29. > :15:32.was a risk of frost tonight and for the next few nights. At the end of

:15:33. > :15:36.the week the high pressure will move to the east and that will allow a

:15:37. > :15:41.weak front to push from the north which will bring cloud but not a lot

:15:42. > :15:58.of rain. That is Thursday and Friday. Today has been pleasant and

:15:59. > :16:00.the cloud has been cooler along the coast with the breeze but inland we

:16:01. > :16:02.have got higher. The temper`tures will tumble this evening and

:16:03. > :16:08.overnight. As the breeze gets lighter we could get a little bit of

:16:09. > :16:21.a shallow mist or fog. A chhlly start to tomorrow.

:16:22. > :16:27.There will be the odd isolated mist patch tomorrow but that will readily

:16:28. > :16:32.left to leave a pleasant dax. Temperatures will quickly rhse after

:16:33. > :16:38.a frosty start. The cloud whll bubble up but remain unbrokdn ``

:16:39. > :16:43.broken. It has been quite chilly on the coast today but most co`stal

:16:44. > :16:46.parts will still have a cool day tomorrow but in line the

:16:47. > :16:54.temperatures `` inland tempdratures will be similar to today. On

:16:55. > :16:59.Wednesday a very similar dax which will start with frost and the

:17:00. > :17:04.highest temperatures will bd on Thursday `` Wednesday. On Thursday

:17:05. > :17:11.perhaps the odd spot of rain but we continue to have high`presstre

:17:12. > :17:15.dominating into the weekend. See you tomorrow. Thank you.

:17:16. > :17:20.A pedestrian crossing will be put in a Lincolnshire village wherd two

:17:21. > :17:24.school girls were seriously injured in a collision. The 11`year`olds,

:17:25. > :17:27.who are now back at home, wdre hit by a mini`bus on the A15 ne`r Bourne

:17:28. > :17:30.in January. The following month more than 100 people attended a public

:17:31. > :17:34.meeting calling for a pedestrian crossing to be built there. But it

:17:35. > :17:36.could be another year beford it s installed.

:17:37. > :17:40.When two schoolgirls were knocked down and critically injured on the

:17:41. > :17:45.A15 by the village of Northorpe in January the accident shook the local

:17:46. > :17:49.community. Plans had been afoot to reduce the speed limit on the

:17:50. > :17:59.stretch of road from 60mph to 4 mph, but they weren't yet in place. We

:18:00. > :18:03.have been campaigning for m`ny years to get this speed limit herd and we

:18:04. > :18:07.should have been able to get it down before because we have seen this

:18:08. > :18:10.coming. Unfortunately it was these two young girls.

:18:11. > :18:13.Although the lower limit is now in place. Many felt a reduction in

:18:14. > :18:17.speed was no longer enough. A campaign group was set up to push

:18:18. > :18:19.the County Council to build pedestrian crossings in Northorpe,

:18:20. > :18:25.and in the neighbouring village of Thurlby.

:18:26. > :18:28.For the past few weeks the number of vehicles passing through thhs

:18:29. > :18:33.section of the road has been counted and so as the number of peddstrians

:18:34. > :18:37.who are trying to cross the road. The information has been an`lysed

:18:38. > :18:42.and the results show that crossing would be appropriate here. We always

:18:43. > :18:44.had concerns about crossing the road for children and for all residents

:18:45. > :18:48.of the village. The news has been welcomed by those

:18:49. > :18:51.like John, a father of two, who was part of the campaign. But there are

:18:52. > :18:55.questions now about how long it will take. I know there are an awful lot

:18:56. > :18:59.of people who will happily dig holes and put the lights in themsdlves if

:19:00. > :19:04.they were allowed to sell an explanation as to why it takes 2

:19:05. > :19:08.months would be welcome. I share the frustration that these things tend

:19:09. > :19:11.to take so long after the ddcision is made by regulations are

:19:12. > :19:15.stipulated by the government and it takes a while for things to be

:19:16. > :19:19.approved and consulted and then react proved before the work orders

:19:20. > :19:21.going place. To get best value for money we like to plan a reasonable

:19:22. > :19:25.way in advance. In a statement the family of one of

:19:26. > :19:28.the girls involved in the accident has urged the council to spded

:19:29. > :19:31.through what they see as bureaucracy. With a new housing

:19:32. > :19:34.development underway in the area campaigners say the safety of

:19:35. > :19:38.pedestrians is now more important than ever.

:19:39. > :19:42.That's a story you might have a view on. People in Northorpe told us

:19:43. > :19:47.about the crossing which is coming to the village. If you have a story

:19:48. > :20:14.you think we should know about, get in touch in the usual ways.

:20:15. > :20:19.A Boris Johnson of the North is needed to provide strong le`dership

:20:20. > :20:29.to the region according to ` think tank. The study by IPPR North shows

:20:30. > :20:33.that people have more faith in local governments than Parliament and

:20:34. > :20:36.there is a hunger for more power to be devolved.

:20:37. > :20:40.Mini owners from across the country have been showing off their cars in

:20:41. > :20:42.Lincoln over the weekend. More than 150 cars gathered at the Br`yford

:20:43. > :20:46.Waterfront for the city's annual Mini Day. Amongst those on display,

:20:47. > :20:55.were Minis dating back to the early Sixties. The event is now in its

:20:56. > :21:00.seventh year. People like it because it is a nice location and it is free

:21:01. > :21:04.so they do not have to pay to come here and people meet each other

:21:05. > :21:11.after the winter because it is one of the first events in the HPPR

:21:12. > :21:18.North calendar. I always relember the classic IPPR North it is an

:21:19. > :21:23.icon, `` I always remember that classic Mini. It is an icon. It is

:21:24. > :21:30.great to see them, they put a smile on your face. They are just good

:21:31. > :21:34.front. I am sorry I missed that my first car was a Mini.

:21:35. > :21:37.In football, Scunthorpe United manager Russ Wilcox says he's elated

:21:38. > :21:42.his team have managed to go top of League Two. The Iron could only draw

:21:43. > :21:47.2`2 draw with Bury despite goals from by Paddy Madden and Patl Hayes.

:21:48. > :21:53.But as rivals Rochdale lost, United are now top of the table. It was a

:21:54. > :22:00.great game and a great advert for league to football. We thought we

:22:01. > :22:04.had done enough to see it ott. All credit to Bari, they kept going to

:22:05. > :22:08.the death and it was a terrhfic finish. A marvellous season and I

:22:09. > :22:12.cannot see how people would be disappointed with how we ard

:22:13. > :22:16.playing. Everyone played well. It is frustrating to give away a point in

:22:17. > :22:19.the last minute. It was disappointing that we did not play

:22:20. > :22:23.as well as we usually do and we should have made substitutions early
