:00:00. > :00:11.Grimsby Ice Hockey Club says the uncertain future for the town's ice

:00:12. > :00:15.The rink's been closed for a month due to

:00:16. > :00:19.The council says it remains committed to having

:00:20. > :00:22.an ice facility in the town, but with a deadline approaching to

:00:23. > :00:27.register players for the new season, the hockey club says it's in limbo.

:00:28. > :00:35.month, and still a question mark hangs over the future of

:00:36. > :00:37.Grimsby Ice Rink. North East Lincolnshire Council will hold a

:00:38. > :00:40.special meeting at the end of the month to discuss options, but

:00:41. > :00:44.players need to be registered for the new season within wdeks

:00:45. > :00:52.the new season within weeks. We was told two weeks. Now we've been

:00:53. > :00:57.informed it's going to be the end of the month. People ard not

:00:58. > :01:01.happy. We just don't know which way to go. We've got a season coming

:01:02. > :01:09.up, we've got training that we've got to book, and we'rd just

:01:10. > :01:13.We've got a season coming up, we've got training that we've got to book,

:01:14. > :01:18.the gas used to freeze the ice can no longer be bought under EU

:01:19. > :01:20.regulations. The council says as well as repairs, it's not

:01:21. > :01:23.got enough stocks left to refreeze the ice rink. One option is

:01:24. > :01:26.to lay new pipes and a new freezing system, but that whll come

:01:27. > :01:29.at a cost ` some ?200,000. But campaigners remain concerned

:01:30. > :01:31.over long`term plans. The council's to build a new leisure

:01:32. > :01:43.facility on the site, controversially closing Grimsby

:01:44. > :01:47.Swimming Pool a few miles away in favour of a new pool in Cromwell

:01:48. > :01:53.Road. Rink users are worried the future development of the site would

:01:54. > :01:56.eventually see it demolished, but the council says it

:01:57. > :01:58.hopes to build a new ice skating facility in the area before

:01:59. > :02:02.that happens. It will be a bigger ice rink. They'll be able to

:02:03. > :02:05.play on a proper, full size rink. That's the new plan for the

:02:06. > :02:08.would eventually see it demolished, but the council says it hopes to

:02:09. > :02:11.will mean that it'll be abld to be used. What we're doing is

:02:12. > :02:14.bringing a new pad in, and that pad will be there until the new rink

:02:15. > :02:17.opens. OK, so that's a cast`iron guarantee? Cast`iron guarantee that

:02:18. > :02:21.if we go for the option to repair the rink and put a roof pad down,

:02:22. > :02:24.there will be an ice rink in North East Lincolnshire. But the affects

:02:25. > :02:27.of the closure have already been felt. Thomas has a trial for the

:02:28. > :02:30.England Ice Hockey Team in a few weeks' time. If I haven't got the

:02:31. > :02:33.training, I'm at a disadvantage so I won't really stand a chance. It's

:02:34. > :02:37.a great opportunity for Tholas, and it'd be a shame if he missed out due

:02:38. > :02:40.to fitness or anything else, due to not having a rink to be abld to

:02:41. > :02:43.practise on. Councillors will debate the best way forward for the ice

:02:44. > :02:48.rink in a few weeks' time, but warn repair costs are likely to be passed

:02:49. > :03:00.A tidal power generator in the Humber estuary is to be removed next

:03:01. > :03:07.Neptune was built to providd power to The Deep, but was scrapped last

:03:08. > :03:09.year when the company behind it went into liquidation

:03:10. > :03:15.People living on Hull's Victoria Dock had fought to have it removed,

:03:16. > :03:18.It's estimated around 2.5 million people lhned the

:03:19. > :03:25.streets to watch the second stage of the Tour de France as cyclists raced

:03:26. > :03:29.say hosting the first two stages of the event this weekend has helped

:03:30. > :03:47.TV pictures from the race have been shown in 190 different countries.

:03:48. > :03:50.More than 70,000 people are heading home tonight at the end

:03:51. > :03:52.of what could be the final Waddington Air Show.

:03:53. > :03:54.Organisers have already announced there'll be no show next ye`r

:03:55. > :03:56.because of work to rebuild the runw`y.

:03:57. > :03:58.Today, the crowds watched more than seven hours of flying displays

:03:59. > :04:02.at the RAF base near Lincoln, but one Red Arrows jet is h`ving to

:04:03. > :04:05.The aircraft was badly damaged by a bird strike

:04:06. > :04:09.When you look at a bird, you don't think it can do that much

:04:10. > :04:12.damage, so it's made a nice little hole in the front of the aeroplane,

:04:13. > :04:15.which our guys are going to get really busy repairing now.

:04:16. > :04:18.Superleague and the chairm`n of Hull Kingstone Rovers Neil Hudgell

:04:19. > :04:20.has told the BBC that sacking coach Craig Sandercock was

:04:21. > :04:23.a difficult decision, but it was the right time to make a change.

:04:24. > :04:25.Chris Chester took over the post after Sandercock's

:04:26. > :04:28.He was rewarded with a 40`10 win over league leaders

:04:29. > :04:55.And you'll be able to see the highlights from the game on the

:04:56. > :04:58.Superleague show tomorrow nhght It's on at 11.35 on BBC 1.

:04:59. > :05:01.There is an element of disappointment. We thought the time

:05:02. > :05:11.was right to make a change. Through this evening,

:05:12. > :05:13.showers continuing, Overnight, we are looking

:05:14. > :05:17.at it being a largely dry nhght Temperatures will dip

:05:18. > :05:22.down to probably around ten degrees, although in rural spots, it

:05:23. > :05:25.will get a little cooler than that. A fresh feel tomorrow morning,

:05:26. > :05:27.then dry and bright. But as we head through the day, we

:05:28. > :05:31.start to see cloud bubbling up and some showers start to triggdr off,

:05:32. > :05:33.particularly across southern spots. Outside of the showers,

:05:34. > :05:35.plenty of sunshine. It should feel quite pleasant with

:05:36. > :05:37.a breeze. Highs of around 20 degrees `

:05:38. > :05:39.68 Fahrenheit. Tuesday and Wednesday,

:05:40. > :05:41.again looking like a good deal It's Thursday where we see the

:05:42. > :05:47.risk of some heavy spells of rain. That's all from Look North for now `

:05:48. > :05:53.I'm back with your late bulletin at 10.45 tonight,

:05:54. > :06:13.straight after the national news. Hello again. Today's big event was

:06:14. > :06:22.certainly blessed by fine weather, but there has been some rain around

:06:23. > :06:23.here and there. Those
