:00:37. > :00:43.But when she went to enrol again for September, she was shocked to

:00:44. > :00:46.find the cost had increased from just over ?100 to ?300.

:00:47. > :00:52.I appreciate that everything is getting more expensive

:00:53. > :00:55.but I'm just surprised that it is going up by about 200 percent.

:00:56. > :00:58.I am concerned that the course may not survive the depending on how

:00:59. > :01:01.many people will enrol because they need a certain amount of people to

:01:02. > :01:10.No`one from Hull College would be interviewed, but in a statement

:01:11. > :01:12.it said at present the course is not under threat of closure.

:01:13. > :01:25.But it seems the high costs of running

:01:26. > :01:30.a ceramics course are affecting colleges across the country.

:01:31. > :01:35.In 2007`8, 440 ceramics courses were running

:01:36. > :01:44.The Crafts Council said that might be in part because ceramics has been

:01:45. > :01:47.absorbed into wider design courses but it could also be

:01:48. > :02:12.Simone says she too hopes turn her craft into a business

:02:13. > :02:16.and worries how long there will be a course in Hull to support her.

:02:17. > :02:19.A 46`year`old man is in hospital in Grimsby with life threatening

:02:20. > :02:20.injuries after he was assaulted outside a pub.

:02:49. > :02:52.German zeppelins brought wonder, then terror to the First World War.

:02:53. > :02:55.Three people were killed here on Porter Street in their first raid.

:02:56. > :02:58.And the effect of those bombings is being reflected in a play specially

:02:59. > :03:12.Matt Sutton plays a soldier, called Samuel.

:03:13. > :03:15.Apparently there were Zeppelins floating over Hull and there were

:03:16. > :03:18.German soldiers literally chucking bombs over the sides `

:03:19. > :03:22.It must have been absolutely terrifying.

:03:23. > :03:27.Between 1915 and 1918 Hull was bombed eight times

:03:28. > :03:34.Often struck unintentionally, the Zeppelins jettisoned bombs if

:03:35. > :03:43.The play Yearning Hearts looks at the effect the raids had

:03:44. > :03:49.Its ideas came from people living in Hull now`imagining the past `

:03:50. > :03:55.I had a very moving experience meeting someone who had had a trench

:03:56. > :04:01.For me, that was the point at which I realised we are going to get

:04:02. > :04:07.The result is an 8 episode long drama ` imaging the effects of

:04:08. > :04:17.And you can hear the play on BBC Radio Humberside starting this week.
