:01:17. > :01:20.16-year-old Levi Dickinson from Selby was killed alongside
:01:21. > :01:30.The 19-year-old driver was arrested and released on police bail.
:01:31. > :01:37.Kate Sweeting is outside Howden police station tonight.
:01:38. > :01:48.You'd spoken to Levi's Dickinson's family, what have they had to say?
:01:49. > :01:51.A family going through a terrible time.
:01:52. > :01:54.They wanted to speak out as a warning to any young people who
:01:55. > :02:00.might be thinking about getting in a car at this weekend to take extra
:02:01. > :02:03.care. By Tuesday night, Levi's father lived every parent's worst
:02:04. > :02:08.fear when his daughter didn't come home from work. Someone else was
:02:09. > :02:11.bringing our home, he got in his own car and went to look for her, and
:02:12. > :02:13.came across the crash. He says he doesn't want any other father to go
:02:14. > :02:13.through that. 17-year-old Rhogan Jones from Goole
:02:14. > :02:16.and 16-year-old Levi Dickenson from Selby were passengers in a car
:02:17. > :02:19.when it hit a tree. The world came crashing down then,
:02:20. > :02:25.because I knew, I knew. Because she never, never,
:02:26. > :02:29.doesn't answer her phone. Today, Levi's family told me
:02:30. > :02:36.she was a special girl. I think she could come
:02:37. > :02:43.in on the darkest of days She never saw bad in
:02:44. > :02:49.anybody, no matter... It didn't matter who they was,
:02:50. > :02:52.whether they'd said anything bad to her, she would never say anything
:02:53. > :02:56.bad about them. Tonight, they had a stark warning
:02:57. > :03:07.for young drivers and passengers. If they're a new driver,
:03:08. > :03:20.don't risk it. Stay safe, where is he built, make
:03:21. > :03:22.sure you know the driver and stay safe.
:03:23. > :03:24.Both teenagers have been described as popular,
:03:25. > :03:26.and mourners have left floral tributes at the crash scene.
:03:27. > :03:28.But today, Humberside Police warned that that is dangerous.
:03:29. > :03:33.It's not the safest bit of roads, especially if it's dark.
:03:34. > :03:36.Really, it's advisable not to do that, or if you're going to it,
:03:37. > :03:39.try and arrange something with the police, if possible,
:03:40. > :03:45.People are descending, I wouldn't say en masse,
:03:46. > :03:48.but there were quite a few people there, it did cause safety concerns.
:03:49. > :03:52.Tonight, Levi's church in Selby will hold a remembrance service for her.
:03:53. > :03:55.But her family say they hope their warning will encourage other
:03:56. > :04:04.teenagers to think before they get in a car.

:04:41. > :04:42.to offer training to young people with special educational needs
:04:43. > :04:44.and disabilities, with the prospect of full employment.
:04:45. > :04:47.Seven teenagers will take up work placements at the wind turbine
:04:48. > :04:55.Nationally, fewer than one in ten people with learning disabilities
:04:56. > :05:02.managed to find work. Siemens has become one of the first companies in
:05:03. > :05:03.the country to offer specific work placements for people with special
:05:04. > :05:05.educational needs. This blade will be going
:05:06. > :05:09.to the North Sea somewhere. Getting their first tour of the site
:05:10. > :05:12.and the world of work. This group of young people
:05:13. > :05:15.with severe learning difficulies are at the beginning
:05:16. > :05:17.of their journey towards employment. We're seeing them coming
:05:18. > :05:20.out of their shells. One of our young people,
:05:21. > :05:22.Leah, the first time I met her she would not even make
:05:23. > :05:25.eye contact with me. Today, she actually
:05:26. > :05:27.called me by my name. She was laughing and that is
:05:28. > :05:32.a huge step forward. Hello, Siemens reception,
:05:33. > :05:35.Salim speaking. The new intake get the opportunity
:05:36. > :05:37.to try different roles within the company to see
:05:38. > :05:40.what suits them best. I tried security for
:05:41. > :05:42.the last few weeks. You get to see the first people
:05:43. > :05:48.before they get in and make And they are supported by mentors
:05:49. > :05:54.from the University of Hull. He's so good, it is
:05:55. > :05:56.really surprising. He has already made an impression
:05:57. > :05:59.on a lot of people. His personality

:06:04. > :06:05.with the right support They've got a wide range

:06:17. > :06:24.one of the things they most want is reliable employees
:06:25. > :06:27.who want to work and enjoy coming Only one other company in the UK
:06:28. > :06:33.offers this type of training. Ann has been trying out some office
:06:34. > :06:37.duties, but eventually wants I've been sorting out
:06:38. > :06:41.letters, writing the names. It helps you to find a job,
:06:42. > :06:51.to get some good reference. Siemens are now hoping that other
:06:52. > :07:08.businesses will come and see What makes this different from other
:07:09. > :07:11.companies who may offer work experience to people with learning
:07:12. > :07:16.disabilities? Of course, other companies to employ
:07:17. > :07:21.people with learning difficulties, but not on this scale. This is a
:07:22. > :07:24.long-term, structured programme, supported by volunteers from the
:07:25. > :07:29.University of Hull, they mentor them to add their training, they're
:07:30. > :07:32.studying for future career in social care. Siemens also have workplace
:07:33. > :07:37.champions in place who are specially trained to help youngsters on their
:07:38. > :07:42.journey, and they will be offered full-time employment at the end of
:07:43. > :07:46.the projects, either with Siemens or one of their suppliers. Of course,
:07:47. > :07:49.it's hoped they will get the skills apply for jobs elsewhere in that's
:07:50. > :07:52.what they want to do. The employment rate for people with learning
:07:53. > :07:57.difficulties at the moment is very low, only around 7%or people with
:07:58. > :08:02.learning difficulties have a job. Set a job like this is really
:08:03. > :08:07.needed. The only other country doing something like this on this scale is
:08:08. > :08:12.the National Grid in Leicestershire. Siemens did go and look to what they
:08:13. > :08:16.were doing there, they hope now that companies, especially in Hull, will
:08:17. > :08:19.come to Siemens, look at what they're doing, and take a on boards
:08:20. > :08:23.they can increase the impact of this project.
:08:24. > :08:24.Let's hope so, make it very much indeed, and we wish everyone the

:08:26. > :08:28.are warning businesses to carry out proper safety checks
:08:29. > :08:30.on all their products. It's after a charger bought
:08:31. > :08:32.at a branch of Home Bargains The retailer's been fined in court
:08:33. > :08:37.after it continued to sell the chargers for months
:08:38. > :08:40.before recalling them. It looks handy - a charger that can
:08:41. > :08:47.take two cables at once. This own-brand product
:08:48. > :08:50.was sold by Home Bargains, until one ended up like this
:08:51. > :08:54.the first time it was used. It overheated and it couldn't
:08:55. > :09:02.retain its shape, basically. It was bought at this store in Hull,
:09:03. > :09:09.and the shopper took it straight to Trading Standards,
:09:10. > :09:13.who say it's lucky no-one was hurt. Most homes are protected
:09:14. > :09:17.by circuit breakers. However, those that aren't
:09:18. > :09:21.may have overheated, Trading Standards told
:09:22. > :09:25.Home Bargains that a charger bought here had exploded
:09:26. > :09:28.in the same month it was bought There were about 38,000 of them
:09:29. > :09:33.on the shelves of Home Bargains stores across the country,
:09:34. > :09:38.but the company didn't stop selling them until January 2016,
:09:39. > :09:40.after further tests by Hull Trading Standards confirmed
:09:41. > :09:43.the chargers were unsafe. They had a safety certificate
:09:44. > :09:48.from China, but tests showed the chargers didn't meet
:09:49. > :09:49.UK safety standards. They were recalled,
:09:50. > :09:52.and earlier this month, Home Bargains admitted three
:09:53. > :09:56.electrical safety offences at In the last few years,
:09:57. > :10:03.there has been a lot of similar cases of these sort
:10:04. > :10:06.of charger products failing. Which means that companies should
:10:07. > :10:10.take greater precautions and carry out a greater number of checks

:12:30. > :12:33.to fix what it calls The East Riding of Yorkshire is one

:25:22. > :25:25.the public. A royal Highness snapped it up. This is the artist who
:25:26. > :25:28.painted it, Helen Brayshaw. She only started selling her work a few years
:25:29. > :25:34.ago. There was particular reason why she was so surprised by the sale.

:25:40. > :25:44.only painting I had left, about a couple on my wall at home, because
:25:45. > :25:50.they sold everything. I was down to one, and I entered it. Luckily, it
:25:51. > :25:54.got accepted for the exhibition. I didn't think anyone would even buy
:25:55. > :25:59.it, let alone the Duchess of Cornwall.
:26:00. > :26:04.The painting wasn't the Duchess' first choice though. Other items she
:26:05. > :26:09.had her eye on warrant for sale. July 20 a few of the works, but in
:26:10. > :26:13.the end she had a definite favourite that you wanted to take home with
:26:14. > :26:17.her. It was just an initial response, love at first sight.
:26:18. > :26:22.Colleagues have wanted it and had people calling up about it, so she
:26:23. > :26:26.really does have taste. The gallery wouldn't say it the
:26:27. > :26:30.Duchess paid the ?350 for the painting in cash, and we can only
:26:31. > :26:38.guess what she will put it on show. This tiny cameras has definitely got
:26:39. > :26:46.the royal seal of approval. Beautifully painted.
