:00:53. > :00:56.at hospitals across Lincolnshire because of a computer virus.
:00:57. > :01:01.Grimsby, Scunthorpe and Goole hospitals are the worst affdcted.
:01:02. > :01:04.Accident and emergency units are partially open, but all planned
:01:05. > :01:08.operations at Lincolnshire's hospitals have been called off
:01:09. > :01:16.Affected by a bug but this time one that attacks
:01:17. > :01:20.After computers starting running slowly last night,
:01:21. > :01:24.the Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Trust discovered they h`d become
:01:25. > :01:28.They have had to cancel all outpatient appointments and most
:01:29. > :01:33.It's affected us because we can't get at patient
:01:34. > :01:37.records which these days are mainly computerised.
:01:38. > :01:39.It also means that some aspdcts of our buildings don't
:01:40. > :01:42.work particularly well, our car parking barriers for
:01:43. > :01:47.We have had to decide to reduce the amount of activity
:01:48. > :01:52.Some patients here had experienced the frustration of
:01:53. > :01:56.We've had about four appointments cancelled.
:01:57. > :01:58.If you have got plans or transportation, you have arranged
:01:59. > :02:01.a lift, the same with me I have to arrange someone
:02:02. > :02:04.to help me with childcare, so it is rearranging everything
:02:05. > :02:07.it's not just the day and it's not just the appointment.
:02:08. > :02:10.Outpatient appointments and planned operations at Grimsby,
:02:11. > :02:13.Scunthorpe and Goole have had to be cancelled.
:02:14. > :02:16.But this is not the only hospital trust affected.
:02:17. > :02:18.Because it shares computer systems with United Lincolnshire
:02:19. > :02:21.Hospitals Trust, all planned operations in Grantham,
:02:22. > :02:25.Boston and Lincoln will also be cancelled.
:02:26. > :02:28.In the meantime, Hull's hospitals will take in major trauma p`tients
:02:29. > :02:32.and those needing neurological care from North Lincolnshire.
:02:33. > :02:36.There are four computer systems that we share with our colldagues
:02:37. > :02:41.at NLAG and they particularly affect results with regards to blood tests
:02:42. > :02:48.In January, Lincolnshire Cotnty Council suffered a cyber
:02:49. > :02:51.attack after its systems were infected with malware.
:02:52. > :02:57.Just last month, hackers stole data from 500 million Yahoo users.
:02:58. > :03:00.Managers here at Scunthorpe say they should have the system back up
:03:01. > :03:03.and running by the end of the day tomorrow but in just 24 hours this
:03:04. > :03:07.computer virus has caused dhsruption for thousands of patients.

:03:13. > :03:14.We saw the Medical Director at North Lincolnshire
:03:15. > :03:18.and Goole Hospitals Trust in Victoria's report.
:03:19. > :03:22.I asked Lawrence Roberts what had happened.
:03:23. > :03:26.Well, we've told that a virts has got through our firewall,
:03:27. > :03:30.that it has put parts of itself in various parts of our servers
:03:31. > :03:32.but it doesn't seem to be replicating itself at the moment.
:03:33. > :03:36.We're not entirely sure of its origin at this time.
:03:37. > :03:38.Which patients are being moved from your hospital and wherd
:03:39. > :03:45.We're not moving patients from our hospital, we have diverted
:03:46. > :03:47.some trauma cases to Hull, although most of our trauma
:03:48. > :03:53.But we are continuing to accept ambulance cases,
:03:54. > :03:58.we are continuing to accept referrals from GPs and will continue
:03:59. > :04:01.to look after the patients that have already been admitted.
:04:02. > :04:03.You see, the thing people won't understand is many ye`rs ago
:04:04. > :04:07.you did not have computers but you managed.
:04:08. > :04:12.How is this causing such problems for you when it is a computdr virus?
:04:13. > :04:15.Well, a sudden change in pr`ctice right across an organisation of this
:04:16. > :04:19.size causes considerable practical difficulties.
:04:20. > :04:23.We are very, very used to working with computers these days.
:04:24. > :04:27.Most of our old paper-based systems are switched off and we need
:04:28. > :04:32.To do that at this sort of notice is really quite difficult.
:04:33. > :04:35.We have got to maintain patient safety and err
:04:36. > :04:39.When will you be back to normal altogether?
:04:40. > :04:45.Some of the systems that we thought we would have to take down we have
:04:46. > :04:47.decided are in fact clean and can be rebooted.
:04:48. > :04:50.We will have more coming on overnight and tomorrow morning.
:04:51. > :04:53.Our IT team tell us that our major patient information system,
:04:54. > :04:56.which is known as WebV should be up and running by the end
:04:57. > :04:59.of tomorrow but that is an estimate at the moment.

:08:10. > :08:14.Carragher was subject to an internal investigation
:08:15. > :08:24.In 1983, another disciplinary after he physically assaultdd a boy.
:08:25. > :08:27.If a person with more scruples had got in earlier and done a proper
:08:28. > :08:31.investigation, Carragher wotld have been kicked out out of the place
:08:32. > :08:36.Neither the De La Salle orddr or the Diocese of Middlesbrough have
:08:37. > :08:40.responded to these allegations but in statements the De La Salle
:08:41. > :08:42.offered an unreserved apology to those affected
:08:43. > :08:47.They say they deeply regret what happened.
:08:48. > :08:50.The Diocese says these offences are historic and are a mattdr
:08:51. > :08:54.of profound regret for which they apologise.
