:00:56. > :00:58.specific threat here, but that the patrols will offer
:00:59. > :01:02.reassurance in the days after the attack on a Christmas
:01:03. > :01:05.market in Berlin. Patrolling officers
:01:06. > :01:07.are not routinely armed It's familiar front page news -
:01:08. > :01:16.another suspected terror attack on foreign soil -
:01:17. > :01:19.this time at a German Christmas Because of these events,
:01:20. > :01:25.armed police from forces in the East Midlands,
:01:26. > :01:27.including Lincolnshire, will now patrol busy and crowded
:01:28. > :01:33.areas this Christmas. This is solely a reassurance
:01:34. > :01:35.and a patrol from officers that have
:01:36. > :01:37.got the capability. Those that go through airports

:02:12. > :02:14.to fear if I saw that. The UK's terror threat has been
:02:15. > :02:18.ranked as severe since 2014, But senior firearms officers working
:02:19. > :02:26.across Lincolnshire say there is no specific threat
:02:27. > :02:30.to the East Midlands. The patrols are happening
:02:31. > :02:33.across four police force areas but officers have also
:02:34. > :02:35.been deployed in cities It would be a deterrent and I think
:02:36. > :02:43.we have got to see it positively. And don't forget, these armed
