:01:24. > :01:25.by SERCO, the company that handles their payroll,
:01:26. > :01:27.has exhausted the school's patience. I have seen some improvements but
:01:28. > :01:31.the payroll error still exists, it is not an improvement that would
:01:32. > :01:36.allow us to stay with Serco and this month we had an example where one
:01:37. > :01:41.employee was nearly paid ?1.5 million, which fortunately I spotted
:01:42. > :01:44.that when I was working over the In April 2015 Serco
:01:45. > :01:49.began a ?70m contract with Lincolnshire County Council
:01:50. > :01:52.to provide a number of financial Just eight months later,
:01:53. > :01:58.the company apologised following a catalogue
:01:59. > :02:02.of errors with payments. In May 2016, at the end
:02:03. > :02:05.of the first year, the council imposed a one million pound
:02:06. > :02:08.penalty on Serco. Then in November 2016,
:02:09. > :02:11.an independent report found Lincolnshire County Council had
:02:12. > :02:13.rushed into handing over the contract to SERCO
:02:14. > :02:16.who weren't ready to do the job This county council report shows
:02:17. > :02:23.that serco received 221 payroll received in Aug 2016,
:02:24. > :02:31.some of those queries have yet to be resolved and it appears that Serco
:02:32. > :02:35.still hasn't managed to produce its empolyee pay
:02:36. > :02:40.statements for the year 2015/16. Serco are still failing
:02:41. > :02:44.to hit their targets. Although the overall situation has
:02:45. > :02:47.improved the council admits that it is because they have
:02:48. > :02:50.changed the way that success is SERCO told
